I bought the car, so I figured I’d give my input. 1. Yes, I knew he was returning it to close to stock. Even if I offered a higher price, it wouldn’t have been as much as he could get selling the parts separately. The value of the car doesn’t scale with the price of the mods 1:1. 2. Even if it were an option to buy as-is, neither Devin, Bobbi, or I would want that. Returning it to *mostly* stock lets me make it my own and not just hop in the exact car they built. 3. I wasn’t ripped off or lied to. What I paid was fair given how meticulous Devin is with all of his/Bobbi’s cars. If it were any other Evo, I probably wouldn’t have bought it. But I trust them. That’s it. I’m sure the car will still show up on the channel occasionally, lol.

more or less a 3.5 hour drive there and back is what i think is what they did because a 14 hour drive wouldnt be worth buying stock parts especially because youre wasting gas to get there and back

I'm amazed at how many people keep questioning why the car was turned back to stock form instead of sold how it was.. De-modding a car to sell it is extremely common these days. Especially cars with expensive parts on them. Mods to most do not make a car worth more. So he'll make more money this way. There's some confidence in knowing it runs stock. You don't want to imagine some yahoo's f-ed around with the harness, drilled the block or did god knows what. There was an Evo X in the local ads few months ago and he was proudly listing his Turbo Smart blow-off, but Evo's come with recirculating valve so he may have burnt the valves.

When I put my Evo back to stock it sure felt quicker than my STI....interested to see the next vid! Hopefully you guys took the traction control off and ran it in sport sharp.
For reliability issues, different tuners have their different tunes in mind so it's like making the evo back to bare again, plus it can lessen the price down👌🏻

Many people don't want molested cars. They want to make it their own. Also you get more money from more people for stock cars, only few enthusiasts would pay extra for your boltons so you're on the market longer.
