- Clip from the Sunday Footy Show, July 17th 1994 after the Footscray Bulldogs defeated Geelong and Doug Hawkins passed Ted Whitten's Footscray games record. Also on the show are Max Walker, Sam Newman, Simon O'Donnell, Simon Madden, Mal Brown, Dermott Brereton & Lou Richards
One of the great footy callers of all time. Loved listening to Teddy call the Geelong games. Has it really been 27 years since we lost Mr. Football? Best of the best!
What a great panel
never watched aus rules in my life but here i am watching this...
Cool rip whitten 1933-1995
So many great Wingers before they destroyed Footy and Dougie was certainly one of the best of them.
Bloody hell I miss this type of footy
If there was one player at Footscray that Ted Whitten was probably happy to see break his games record it was Doug Hawkins.
I'm a South Aussie through and through so I have a lifetime of not liking the Vics (though funnily enough I support Essendon. Go figure 🤷♂). But I always had plenty of respect for the Vics, especially Ted Whitten and his passion for State of Origin football. He actually won respect from South Aussie's when he took a lost bet to Ken "KG" Cunningham like a true champion and wore a South Australian jersey in Rundle Mall in Adelaide after we beat them in 1993.
I miss those days.
Not sure why i got this recommended but was a good watch. Can't make the finals Teddy?.. nek minnit, makes the Granny.
Yes, but then Blight leaves the club.
Teddy talking like he's just finished drinking 14 bottles of Mateus with Andre the Giant.
Geelong won all but one game for the rest of the H&A season.
Ted whitten will always be known for western bulldogs aka footscray
Lou Richard’s is so funny 😂
Way to many people on the panel hahaha
Mr football
They ended up making the Grand Final 🤷
It's Max Max Max....
Richie Benaud is not happy
So funny😂
Wokes wouldn't have liked footy and the personalities then, they would have been terribly offended.
WWE DEBUT Doug Hawkins
Ted whitten should've commentated afl games as well
he did
@@sentimentalbloke185 I thought he only commentated wrestling
@@petermeatballs6252 no
Ej whitten should've been chairman of afl he kinda sounded bossy enough to be ceo of footy before eddie mcguire and garry lyon were ceos of afl
Eddie McGuire and Garry Lyon were never AFL CEO’s and Ted Whitten did commentate the football. Your knowledge of AFL seems very limited.
