Wow. I have not been here in months. I was dealing with dizziness/vertigo health issues from February to May, I was laid off from my job on May 19, and I went to Los Angeles the following week for a funeral and vacation. I had an amazing time in L.A. I was staying at an air BnB in Inglewood. I vlogged my entire trip. I plan to upload it soon. I have been busy focusing my health and uploading youtube videos before I search for my next job. As for my 2016 Genesis Coupe 3.8, I decided earlier this year I will save up money and sell the car. I plan to get a BMW M240i xDrive someday. I may have said this before, but this is the best decision for me. I like the Genesis Coupe, but I am ready for more horsepower and capabilities without the stress of a weak engine. I have 79,000 miles on my Genesis Coupe 3.8. It is still stock. I am keeping my car stock and clean.
This guy in Tampa Bay area had a built 4.0L Genesis Coupe on youtube. He had no turbo. He had meth injection and a tune. He still blew his engine. He moved on to another car. It's a cool car, but it's just not worth it. If I were to have an engine swapped into the Genesis Coupe, it would be an AMG to be different and badass.
my gen has 71,000km on it i hope it still has a lot of life yet. i just bought a sri and ark h test pipes and imma tune it after i get my shit in. hope ur back soon keep posting videos when u r.
All depends if your engine is good and you decided to build it while still good . You know what I’m saying , cuz let’s say you decide to build while runs right , so you would only need pistons rods and Apr studs( I wish this was my case 🥲) . Which is about all together maybe 3k right. Building this engine not cheap at all
Noooo this is what you were talking about 😢… I have a 2.0T bk2 and from my experience the turbo model is more reliable than the G6DA motor I wouldn’t give up on the engines just swap in th G4KF motor they both use the same transmission.
Im building it , nothing crazy just forged intérnals ( rods pistons ) hopefully I can drop a video this or next week when I’m putting everything back together
Haha mine went off thank good tru the bottom , so the hole was in my upper pan , what is fucked the crank , which my last piece I’m missing to everything together
@@rspecluis7570 I sold mine for scrap, it had 130k miles on it. I have a 2013 3.8 rspec with only 40k Miles now Fingers crossed the engine holds up for many more years. Good luck with your engine build I enjoy your videos and hope to see your Genny back on the road soon!
idk how i didn’t see this until now but glad you finna be back

Put a true CAI not a sri
so did this just happen just cuz or did any of ur mods help cause the engine to blow?
In my case was a bad piston ring like I said

Definitely build that thing for nitrous. Wouldn't make some serious power
Wait for the video I’m dropping this week heheh
Sabes el precio de un motor de junker? Me pregunto si mas barato que tener que rebuildear.

how much does it cost to do forged internals?
