This design would make a great murphy bed. You could probably use 2 sets opposite eachother and make one. Have 1 side with overhanging plywood and the other with a shorter piece so the longer side could sit on those legs and make 1 long piece. But.....2 kegs are already $200. So you're in $400 for the legs plus e track, plywood and mattress

Great idea! It is pricey, but it's less expensive than an actual Murphy bed....

I LOVE how solid these are. Was thinking of putting in a fold down bench/bed but this has a ton of versatility options...

The only thing that would make this even better, is if you made telescoping or extendable arms, so as to extend the table length or depth into the body of the trailer. This way you have greater customization instead of having only one set table depth. Also, I think having hardware that can be fitted onto the edge, where the legs meet the base of the table, would be great so that you can potentially disconnect from one wall, and simply slide it to the opposite trailer wall without having to turn the table inside the trailer body, in addition to potentially being able to connect or link up another set of table arms. Also, It would be ideal to have telescopic table legs that allow you to elevate the platform all the way to the trailer ceiling height. I could see this being potentially developed into modular shelving units that can stack and lock into one another also.

These are all great ideas! That would be cool if the arms telescoped out to make more a larger work space.

How thick can the table top be and still fold it up?

Design this into a Murphy bed and you would sell thousands. Guys are always looking for good alternatives in hunting trailers.

Many people have used these bracket to make murphy beds! It is a great idea and solution. You just want to be sure that you are staying with in that 600 lbs weight capacity and that includes the mattress too.

Folding up kayak rack is what Im seeing......how far does the horizontal extension stick out?

The arms will stick out 24 inches from the wall. This would work great to hold kayaks!

do these systems rattle when you're driving over bumps etc? I'd like to install in my van but not if it's going to be rattling

Chances are there may be some rattling. However, that said any rattle can be negated with proper padding or a good strap. Each situation is different and not knowing your complete set up we can't give you a solid yes or no answer. www.etrailer.com/E-Track/CargoSmart/3481744.html#exp-productdetails=.reviews It would be wise to look at the product reviews on the product page, that will help you a lot!
