Hey Ron, as some people have mentioned we think it makes a lot more sense to compare the sound quality with EQ adjustments. I understand why you compare them without EQ adjustments, and I agree that that is an important thing to do, but I think it is important to do both because some earbuds will undoubtedly sound better than others when EQ adjustments are taken into account, and for some people that's all that matters!
This has been a crazy year for audio in the tws and iem world. Quality products are getting cheaper and cheaper with better tuning. A lot of competition is good for us as long as we educate ourselves on purchases. Not good for my wallet though haha. Might have to get an android phone so I can utilize the ldac or aptx from my new toys. It’s a shame the 3ANC only has sbc and aac though, but I don’t think it matters much with that pair. The 3ANC blow my AirPods Pro 2 strait out of the water, and I haven’t even eq them yet. I was underwhelmed with the 3ANC at first, but after awhile switching back I’m missing a ton on the AirPods and my Sony xm3.

I bought the Opera 05 from this review and they did not dissapoint. Insane insane sound but unfortunately i had dropped the bud one too many times and it opened up and wires disconnected while trying to reattch so i have to buy a new pair
Interesting comparison. I thoroughly enjoy the Engine 4 as my go-to for music. The only odd thing is that my family use iPhone and whenever I call, they hear a strange beeping noise periodically. Other than that, liking the smaller footprint of the E4 but may try the O5 in the future. Thx!!

Honestly, it depends on what you're looking for... If you want ANC, go with Opera05. If you want multipoint connectivity, go with Engine 4. If you got the money, get them both!

when one unit offers more such as ANC and LDAC and EQ adjusting to achieve a good quality sound but you take that away to make it "fair" because the other doesn't have that then it seems to be handicapping the one that does....its like putting mike tyson up against jake paul but tell mike to close his eyes and only half swing......just my opinion
I don't own any of the Xaomi earbuds, and the Engine 4 does not have ANC. But for bass, I would say the Engine 4 has the strongest. Especially after the latest update.

The predecesor of engine 4 is SE trueengine have amazing sound quality..my first soundpeats…no wonder Engine 4 sound quality top notch

They are really good. Waiting for Soundpeats to officially launch them. Hopefully they will update them with multipoint connectivity.

It looks like the opera 5 was suppose to have two BA and instead they went cheap with 2 magnets.
I think I'm the only one who likes the Opera 05s better than the Engine 4s. No problem with the fit or look. They just sound great.

IMO, If you have the Engine 4, I wouldn't get the Opera05 unless you want ANC. To me, the Opera05 has better bass and sound, but not enough to switch.

Engine 4 here, the silicon tips are irritating in the gym.They fall out , lifting making weird faces push them out as well.. Gonna try foam tips.
