Avalanche Awareness Class | January 11th, 2021 Hosted by Ascent Outdoors

The Northwest Avalanche Center (NWAC) offers free avalanche awareness classes to the public throughout our forecast area. These classes are a 90 minute introductory presentation geared towards the novice wintertime backcountry user. NWAC partners with local organizations, guide services and shops to host hundreds of these classes throughout the season.
Whether you ski, snowshoe, snowboard, or snowmobile, recognition of avalanche danger is an essential and potentially lifesaving skill. This introductory virtual class taught by NWAC instructor, Haylee Darby, and hosted by Ascent Outdoors, provides a basic approach to managing risk.
