I think it would’ve been nice to see you and Avery do this video together, so we could learn about the design process with another person and how that changed things. Also whenever you make a skirt please promote it as unisex or have some male models for them, that’d be amazing to see. S/O bladee
so glad i got my hands on the necklace! i bought it as a gift for myself for birthday and i have a feeling it’s going to arrive on my actual birthday :) wish you lots of success and fulfillment!
it's honestly so nice and refreshing to hear you talk about your clothes because you're so close to the process that it's easy to tell how passionate you are about your brand! so proud of all your success :-) xx
it would be so helpful to see different body types in the clothing, i’d love to purchase some of your bottoms but so hard to tell if they’d work based on your sites and models
I've watched you for years, but hadn't checked in lately. It's great to see your success, and you're still an outstanding communicator. You're looking as amazing as ever, and it's sure not surprising to see you wearing black! I respect your emphasis on environmentally friendly products.
just seeing this! so proud of you and what you've created with Avery. You guys are such and inspiration for me and I love how much thought there is behind everything you do! wish you all the best and hope I can get my hands on something staatsballet soon. xx
I want to use natural dyes (plant-based such as roots, spices, fruits, and vegetables) for my clothing line but I want the pieces to be able to last a lifetime. How was your fabric dyed and do you have any advice on upkeeping naturally dyed clothing besides hand-washing it with cold water? I figure coloring fabrics is a big part of making a brand all the more sustainable and I would really love it if someone had any advice.
I really appreciate you and Avery's appreciation of local businesses in America. In an outsourced economy in manufactured goods its hopeful to see younger generations focusing on localized manufacturing.
Love the collection! Got the active shorts and orange drifter long sleeve~ Was going to get the natural colored one but it sold out before I checked out. Would be better if the items in your cart were on a hold for a set time while checking out so it doesn’t sell out before I could put in my info! Still love the orange colored one tho got me to add some color into my wardrobe haha
I love seeing what you’re doing outside the TH-cam world! It’s easy to forget influencers like you are actually getting shit done off the screen as well
Lovely video!!! I can't wait for your third collection. Hopefully, imma save up money to invest in the upcoming amazing pieces xD. A question out of curiosity: when you first release an item, how many pieces do you have in stock (before restocking)? Does it depend on the item itself? If so how do you decide/what's the average? Thanks again for the amazing video and collection as always!
Hi! Thanks so much. It really depends on the piece, but I guess I’m an open book! This collection, it was between 50 units and 300 units per style, prior to restocking. Average minimum is 100 units for production, but it also depends on the style!
how have you marketed the brand apart from youtube? I would love to learn more about your thought process from the business owners perspective when creating a clothing line and brand. Love the videos!
Can you share where i can get a chain like this? Doenst need to be oxidized but iI really like the clasp of it! Unfortunately i couldnt order anything more than the drifter and cap sleeve Shirt from the first drop because Import duties where almost as much as the pieces themself.
I feel like it's kind of personal :) But in summary, usually we start with a rough idea, and then go into fabric sourcing. Although sometimes we find a fabric we really like and design from there! We make tech sketches, source all of the materials for testing, gather references if applicable, then work with a patternmaker to create the piece. Then it's sewn up as a sample and we go through however many rounds of revisions and testing we deem necessary. Although a lot of stuff gets scrapped at this point. Hope that answers a bit
been following you since your high school days!! it's amazing to see how far you've come! btw i just started making videos if you want to check them out :)
@@kaileemckenzie Yeah not only is it playing into stereotypes but it's also normalising domestic violence. I'm just surprised that it's still a part of our lexicon in 2019, but I guess what can you do :/
I think saying nobody is quite the overstatement, especially because our clothes do sell. We have to pay the workers that make them, and being direct to consumer our markup is still much lower than traditional retailers :) but yes they aren't cheap!

I know! I really hope we can achieve this in the near future, models are just really expensive ;( It would increase our retail too much at the moment.
I've been rewatching you and Avery's videos out of boredom; so glad you posted a new one!!!!

Thanks so much! Definitely something I'd like to look into. We just get a lot of abandoned carts, so I'm not sure it would be best.
thank you for ingraining sustainability into your core values
I love what you guys create and your ethics on sustainability are so inspiring! ♥

@@kaileemckenzie Thanks so much for the reply and the hard work!
Your collection is amazing! Deadstock is so important to sustainable fashion.

certifications are so important
hey kailee, love the hair :) tell avery to post sometimes too
thank you!
for your next video about staats can you go over the design process please ?

kaileemckenzie thank u :)
pleaseeeee restock the pants, i love them so much
The rug! Where is it from?
Ked I think it’s actually a table, but it does look like a rug at that angle!
Are those muscles in your arm? Or is it just your body type?
you are an angel and your collection is so pure xoxo
Really wish i could justify spending money on your jewelry right now :( beutiful collection i absolutely adore it, keep it up!
Missing Avery’s TH-cam vids 😔
you look so cute ily
I love bladee even more now
Love your vids! And staatsballet, amazing stuff
Thank you!!
What a finesse
been following you since your high school days!! it's amazing to see how far you've come! btw i just started making videos if you want to check them out :)
Hi Kailee, I love your videos and was wondering if you know of any female youtubers that have similar style and TH-cam content as u :)
I actually don't, but would also love suggestions!!
🖤🖤🖤
I'm surprised you called it a "wife beater" so casually. Maybe it's different in the U.S, but to me it seems a little insensitive?
Ah I'm sorry, I've never even thought about it. I guess that's just what I've always heard. Definitely is f*cked up!
@@kaileemckenzie Yeah not only is it playing into stereotypes but it's also normalising domestic violence. I'm just surprised that it's still a part of our lexicon in 2019, but I guess what can you do :/
what we learn in school is sooo outdated
nobody can afford clothes like these
I think saying nobody is quite the overstatement, especially because our clothes do sell. We have to pay the workers that make them, and being direct to consumer our markup is still much lower than traditional retailers :) but yes they aren't cheap!
It's a fair price. Your paying for cut and sew clothes, not cheap merchandise or fast fashion:)
