yes the gut is considered the second brain and how healthy your microbiome is plays a crucial role in mental health! sugar and gluten (for ex) feed bad bacteria in the gut that directly translate to ibs, depression, anxiety, and other symptoms n disorders. def would recommend looking into seeing a holistic and/or traditional chinese medicine practitioner

ok i never comment on youtube videos but I have to share this crepe recipe with you because they're so easy to make -- 1 1/2 cups of flour, pinch of salt, 2 tsp sugar, 2 eggs, 1 cup milk -- mix all those together and then add either more milk or soda water until the thickness is like heavy cream. preferably use butter in the pan but oil works too. i like adding some vanilla extract and a ton of cinnamon in the batter. ok that's it

also if you don't want to use eggs you can fully just leave them out.. actually you can just make these with the flour and milk and they'll be totally perfect as long as you have a good filling

It's so nice to hear that vlogging is still a thing you enjoy, and as you said it's something that's stayed around over all of these years. I, and I'm sure many of your other long time viewers, feel a similar way. Your vlogs are always comforting for me to watch after having watched them for so many years and seeing how you've grown at the same time as me.
Just trying to say thank you for your videos and I hope you continue with them for as long as it is good for you!

have you considered seeing if gluten is a culprit? that was it for me as someone who always has had a sensitive stomach. the months before i quit i was having ibs symotons and extemely painful period cramps. those two things helped me figure out what was going on thanks to google. i think i was always gluten intolerant but my first 2 years being vegan probably exasperated it since i my diet became more gluten heavy thanks to the meat substitutes (i was in college so didn't have time for a whole food based vegan diet which requires more prep). once i cut out gluten my ibs symtons ad period cramps went away and diminshed. i have a pescatarian gluten minium diet now but if i ever get reckless then my body reminds me not to try it lol

I need to look further into it! But yes I've heard about gluten being the culprit a lot ;( I really hope not in my case because I eat so much bread lol. I'm so happy you've found something that works for you

When I started eating dairy again after being vegan for years it really messed with my stomach in a way it never did before I went vegan, almost like my body unlearned how to process it! Some of my friends have had similar experiences too, do you think it's coincided with you eating dairy again? Hope it works itself out soon x

    • @kaileemckenzie

I’m not sure! I’m really open to anything, but I was eating dairy again without any problems for a while.
