- Introducing the TOPO2 Nomad: a new trim level for the TOPO2 monocoque body that aims to simplify your adventures by emphasizing the essentials.
The Nomad carries over 5 key elements of the existing TOPO2:
1.Composite Monocoque Body: The most advanced composite construction on the market with an unmatched design aesthetic.
2. Freeride Suspension: 23” of ground clearance with 5” of independent travel, the Nomad was built to tackle rugged terrain.
3. Massive Stargazer Window: a 2.5’ x 5’ operational stargazer window in the cabin lets you connect to nature even with “inside”.
4. 4-Season Usability: Full insulation throughout the trailer with no external plumbing, the Nomad is built for every adventure, every time of the year.
5. 5-year Manufacturer’s Warranty: Trust and quality assurance from Escapod without smoke & mirrors.
In addition, the TOPO2 Nomad not only has more storage, it has a more versatile storage design in the galley, cabin, and tongue box. Furthermore, by focus on essentials, the overall base weight of the Nomad trim is several hundred pounds lighter at just 1650 pounds.
Not to mention, you get all of this for a lower starting price of $33,990.
The TOPO2 Nomad was designed with our end-user in mind - a customer who is conscious of minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency. It’s purpose-built to get you on the road both faster & lighter. In many ways, this trailer goes back to Escapod’s roots, delivering a trailer with everything you need and nothing you don’t. .

I picked up a Topo 2 (now known as the Voyager) last month and love it. Awesome camper - the Nomad is a great option for those with all the camping gear already. Add the solar panel and racks to the Nomad and it is still under 36K. Most folks have their own stove. Add a solar shower to the racks and it has all the functionality of the Voyager. I am not sure I would miss the heater as most of my camping is generally in weather above 40 degrees. A nice minimal camper, glad Escapod is expanding its lineup. If it was an option back in May 2023, I definitely would have considered it.
Thank you for your kind words! We are excited to see where your TOPO2 Voyager takes you. 😀
@EscapodTrailers do you offer an interior table mounted to the floor?
@@deedee021073 We don't have an interior table in the cabin!
Priced through the roof for your pleasure.
Just add heat to this and it’s perfect!! Great for those who have their own shower system and stoves . The water jugs are perfect which means no water tank issues love it
Great job escapod, way to bring it back home to normal pricing, simplicity, and keeping the innovative Topo2 body. This seriously makes me consider trading in my Topo1
very nice. but if you compare to anything else in that price range such as cars, with engine, and about 10 thousand parts, i cant understand how it can cost that much or more than cars. no comprendo
Niiice! Now I have an extra option to consider for buying my new topo2… thanks for the effort and hard work you all are putting into your company! I’m quickly becoming a super fan of Escapod 😊 great job
Aww thank you Peter! We appreciate your kind words and are glad to be offering another option for everyone.
Really nice overlanding trailer. But.... a starting price of $33k for the Nomad and $43k for the Voyager. LOL By the time one finishes adding accessories that are necessary, u can add $10k to $15k to that price. It can't take me anywhere--I need something with an engine to do that. I can't stand up in it. I can't use the bathroom in it, etc.
I recently bought a Mazda CX-50 Meridian Edition. It has an awesome 256hp turbo engine that produces 320lbs of torque. AWD. Heating (no heating offered in the Nomad). Air conditioning. Beautifully appointed leather seating and other areas. An onboard computer system that automatically stops and drives my car. It has 4 wheels (not 2) with awesome suspension, wheels, and tires. The drive-train is incredible. And more... for $43k off the dealership's parking lot with taxes, title, fees, etc., included.
The engineering and cost of the engine in my Mazda surpasses the cost of this entire teardrop trailer, alone. I'm not questioning whether this is a nicely engineered and built teardrop trailer. It is. I'm questioning who in their right mind would spend this kind of money for something that's worth half the price? I wish I were young enough to have the time to engineer and build something of this quality for 1/2 the price. It can be done. And the individual that comes up with this formula will be a very rich person. If only I had Elon's phone #. lol
Both version are awesome and priced great!
40+ grand for something you cannot stand in. What world do you live in that it is priced great?
What difficulty trail level would you recommend this is great for?
wow
I know Nomad doesn't have heating option add on but the vents above the doors along the ceiling are still present. The grate cover things in the mudroom area is still present too. Are these just space holders then? Any room or thoughts on utilizing them?
Placeholders for now! But definitely working on ways in utilize them once we figure out the best heating option for the Nomad trim level.
Built like that on I believe I did anyway it was $43,000!
What ?
To Escapod: I appreciate you working to expand the lineup. Why was the inside cabinetry changed? I liked the cleaner look of the topo2. Also it seems like the supply for heating is still there? Is there the possibility of adding an external heater...I am thinking of the kind made for roof top tents?
For the TOPO2 Nomad, we are not currently offering a heating add-on. As for the cabinetry it was changed for a more simplistic look!
Sliders , it’s simple & less exspensive
Cute camper
What about a shower? The Voyager model has the shower head coming out from the galley that you can use for showers. I didn't hear or see anything about a shower with the galley. Would we have to use the water cans for showering?
Since there is no integrated water system in the TOPO2 Nomad, there is not a shower on this trim level. We will definitely be looking for some options we can recommend to those who want a shower solution on board with them.
Do you mean you can’t get it with the sink anymore? If not, that is definitely a deal breaker for me. I was sold on it watching the other videos. Do any of the trailers offer the sink and water tank?
If you get the TOPO2 Voyager (trim level you’ve seen in other videos) it will still come with the water tank and sink!
The TOPO2 Nomad trim level (shown in this video) does not have the sink or water on board.
@@EscapodTrailers awesome. Thank you!
Does the nomad have heating I thought I saw vents
It does not currently have a heating option!
I absolutely love escaped but the price is very expensive for someone like myself. As much as I love to to go out camping with the price of gas and food I couldn’t afford it on my monthly income
Am I too far out of touch with the times for thinking the price is too excessive? Surely, the manufacturer, distributor, and salesman can make a decent profit for less.
No room for swinging doors, sliders only !!!
im intrested to not spend 50k, hopefully it has options for ac and power still
just checked, it does!
She said you can opt to replace the maxx fan with a/c.
Too much money! You can get a small RV for the price.. looks cool but don't think the average camper is going to spend 40+k for a 2 person sleeper😮
I just got mine and it’s fucking awesome
You get what you pay for!
You're not getting a typical RV down the trails this thing can handle. Apples and oranges man.
Star gazer window is to big, a bear can climb through it !!!
Then don’t camp in bear country if you’re that concerned. Duhhhh.
