Love the Torrent, but i wish there was version with a rock plate, then it would be perfect for the really pointy rocks on the trails on my area. Colorado seems to be THE state to live in if you want a perfect mountain playground in altitude - i wish, i wish...
it does not have the rock protection (or durability) of the Speedgoat...this is true...I think the "trade-off" is with the lower ground height and lighter weight (and lower price point). I'l keep you updated on the HOKA ONE ONE Torrent 2 updates. Yes, very lucky to be in the "Rocky Mountains"!

TABEGUACHE- (Tah-Bee-Watch) like a wrist "watch". It means people who lives in the warm side of the mountains. I wished I am in the mountains right now!! I'm in the middle of chaos in the city (NY) protests, pandemic and looters!! LOL
good to know! I did look up the meaning and it is beautiful. Given it is in the "Sawatch Range" I might be able to remember the "watch" part (despite me reading it totally incorrectly!).
I miss the Sawatch. Shavano has the best 14er memories for me!

"we're vegan, dont worry" is a great way to deter mountain lions and black bears as well. They taught us that in the girl scouts. Goodness those cookies were delicious. Vegan too I think. The milk I drank with it was not.

I’m running 60 miles a week, with a 15 mile long run, and 2 interval workouts per week. I run 7 days a week, what do you expect I will run in the 5k when I peak in October?
