While the entire clip was humorous, I felt sad when he said that he doesn't have any family. I don't remember him mentioning anything about his family before and I thought it's just because he wanted to keep that part of him private. 😔
in his “dialogue reading” stream, at some point he just randomly (?) said that his mother was dead (like in a monotonous tone?), which caught everyone off guard, and then just proceeded to move on to the next maro and then i couldn’t even process what he said like “huh what pbb hol up”

I can't exactly speak on the behalf of Astel here, but I can offer why I do this. I don't want people's obligatory pity or sorrow, nor do I want to stop the convo in its tracks. So, by plainly stating it as a fact and then moving on just allows for everyone to just like,, more easily deal with it (?) in a sense. Like that, "Oh. Ok then." kinda feeling,,,,, It's really impressive of him to mention something as big as that on stream tho. ESPECIALLY on a 'family' holiday like New Years. Yeah, again this might've totally been oversharing, but like I 100% understood why Astel choose to reveal it in this fashion, so I just wanted to say something about it :IIII
