I really like this honesty and bluntness, and I really think that it needed to be said. We've all had thoughts or desires to befriend and get to know these vtubers. They are in an incredibly unique position as streamers, and even more so as vtubers. As the viewers we've seen a lot of them, or at least their "characters" and it feels like if you were to have a casual conversation with one of them then it would be completely natural because we have this connection with watching the streams. I for one think it would be awesome to befriend these people because I find myself relating to them a lot in both interests and ways of thinking, and to be able to talk with these vtubers would be awesome. But the thing is, there are thousands of people with that same idea. AND the vtubers have to act within the constrictions of a company. They aren't their own independent vtubers. They're a part of a company that monitors their actions. So that combined with the sheer amount of people that are watching, even if Holostars is relatively underrated, means that they can't constantly interact with all of their fans that want them. Izuru is human. He can't remember everyone who comments, he can't remember everyone who sends him a birthday present. It's asking too much for him to. So he does what he can. He hearts comments, he reads them, he expresses his gratitude even if he can't remember specific names. He's incredibly compassionate towards his viewers, and he tries his very best to do what he can. And as viewers we should be incredibly grateful for this. People like the one who sent the letter needs to put things in perspective. Izuru is doing his best, and his best is amazing. Vtubers already have a lot of stress put on them, there's no reason that we as viewers should add on to that by sending these sort of letters.
Yes, befriending them is like what a majority of us wants but, that's the thing, everyone has had this kind of thought at least once. Really falling in the trap of parasocial relationships has to be difficult for whoever's concerned however they have to hear this kind of blunt discourse. I wish more people would confront this problem instead of laughing it off or ignoring it because it reminds us that... they are just humans, like us. Keeping track of every viewer, fan, subscriber, fanartist etc is impossible and it wouldn't even be healthy to be this obsessed with this sort of data. He truly does a lot, shows gratitude and is an amazing vtuber in that regard so it'd be great if more people would acknowledge that Thanks for your detailed comment, hope lots of people will read it and gain something from it!

I love thinking that he has a healthy, realistic relationship with his fans. I’m not a child(25), and I know the difference between reality and fiction. These boundaries make me feel so happy, I truly value his happiness over what I get out of watching him.
You shouldn't give someone a present just to get something in return. It would just be a trade then if you only give it to get something in return, defeating the purpose of a present.
Thank you for the translation . That was such a great rant and he even managed to insert a couple of entertainment gossips/scandals in the middle of it. 😂
I think vtubers have the right to express themselves how they please, but i wish more were as straight forward as Izuru, because way too many creeps online take politeness and shyness as a chance to act weird and inappropiate, but also, im sorry someone got to this point that Izuru had to go on a rant. Thankful for your translation
wakaru izuru LOL also, he's totally right though. fans should never over step boundaries and shouldn't think about anything "more" than a fan & artist relationship. sure there are times, when it's impossible not to dream about those things, but reality should stop you from getting upset/making something happen. A fan is a fan. not a friend, not a lover, not a parent...
This is late comment since I only see this vid passing by now. But my admiration to Izuru jumped up more because of this rant. Also, kinda embarrassing to see those random english chats being mostly ignorant of what he were saying & busy by themselves.

I’m so so so glad he said all that !!!!!! That comment was so entitled it pissed me off, and I wasn’t even the one who received it lol. Imagine sending a present to a person you don’t actually know and expect them to remember not only your name but sentimentally connect the random thing you gave to them, with you ( an absolute stranger ). I’m so glad he put boundaries and called them out over the gross fan behaviour. Like these idols and whatnot are actually real life people who live real lives and do things everyone else does, like dating. They’re NOT your friend ! I’m so glad he called this out !
Gotta love how he sets his boundaries, I think everyone is more likely to enjoy if the liver and chat are comfortable instead of someone being uncomfortable in one side (let's be honest, more often than not it's the livers who are in uncomfortable situations)

So much truth in what he says. I'm many months late to this translation but I'm glad I found it. Amazing omg i love his bluntness and his rant to this delusional viewer and putting them in their place was so satisfying- A little off topic but seeing that English comment “can you speak English” really pissed me off One of the few reasons why I haven’t been watching Holostars lately is because of the saturated English comments in their chats. Yes. I know I’m an English speaker but we’re the foreigners here so we shouldn’t disrupt their time with Japanese speakers (too much) and expect them to speak English in their own Japanese speaking country. Was Izuru the Holostar that told people to stop live translating him in chat because he didn't like seeing so many English comments that he couldn't understand? I seem to remember seeing something about that on Reddit but could never remember who it was about. Trying to remember so that I know who's chat not to speak in if I catch a live stream since I wouldn't want to bother one of them.
I didn't see that post but it had to be about Izuru. Rather than not wanting to see so much English comments, I think it was because non-Japanese speakers kept talking among themselves, making requests completely unrelated to the current topic (the number of times I saw people asking him to act like a cat or to speak English out of nowhere...). It really pollutes and disrupts the flow of the chat (making it hard to read and follow for them) and for some reason, I feel like he's the one who had to deal with this type of comments the most. It kinda... unsettled me at first until I watched a clip where he was talking about self harm and some English commenters didn't even try to understand or pick up the mood from other comments before assuming he was talking about himself (he wasn't, despite the live translations they went off on their own assumptions) and spamming/freaking out in the chat. It was SO embarrassing to watch. (In the comment section of this one stream, the only comment he liked was an English one calling out these people, if I remember correctly) I think this could be one of the reasons why he moved the translations to his Free Chat. But people can comment in English (he reads and replies to English comments!) as long as they don't chat among themselves and stray off topic. No worries, you can comment in your preferred language!
Ahh , i see. Thanks for the explanation and now i know why he really strict with this chat rules. For this couple day(or week maybe?) he actived slow mode maybe because chat become more mixed coment with random new people that don't know about this rule.
I occasionally hear about vtubers getting actual presents from fans and I just thought of how do these fans send it to them? do they actually know their addresses or do they just send it to vtubers' respective companies then the companies send the gifts to the vtubers? also how about independent vtubers? I'm just thinking out loud so not expecting any real answers but those will be nice too.
I think the presents are sent to the company/an adress provided by the company (idk if they check all the presents or something because some products are forbidden like cosmetics and stuff) then they're sent to the vtubers? I think it goes like that! About the indies... I won't speculate too much because I have no clue 😔
Independent streamers will usually have a P.O. box that you send to. For hololive, the address should read: Present for: (talent's name) COVER Corporation Net Depot Shin-Itabashi 1-6-1 Kaga Itabashi-ku, Tokyo Japan Postal/ZIP Code: 173-0003

I love thinking that he has a healthy, realistic relationship with his fans. I’m not a child(25), and I know the difference between reality and fiction. These boundaries make me feel so happy, I truly value his happiness over what I get out of watching him.
I searched up Izuru hoping to find Izuru Kamakura but I found this and I don't regret watching it-
And I looked up the Kamukura one ww Kanade Izuru is a really good lad, hope it made you want to watch more content featuring him 😌

This type of bluntness from a Japanese vtuber (and from an 'idol' group, no less) is so refreshing to see. He held nothing back lmao!
a new izuru fan rule one : don't piss him off 😂😂
You shouldn't give someone a present just to get something in return. It would just be a trade then if you only give it to get something in return, defeating the purpose of a present.
Thank you for the translation . That was such a great rant and he even managed to insert a couple of entertainment gossips/scandals in the middle of it. 😂
He really pulled out several arguments from his gossip bank ww
Coming back to this video after listening to last night's radio stream where the person who sent him this message went and sent him another one. Lol
@@Meme-jj9dm what did that person say once again?
@@alexkaneshiro2885 the person basically just apologized
i love when people are straightforward about these kind of issue
I think vtubers have the right to express themselves how they please, but i wish more were as straight forward as Izuru, because way too many creeps online take politeness and shyness as a chance to act weird and inappropiate, but also, im sorry someone got to this point that Izuru had to go on a rant. Thankful for your translation
wakaru izuru LOL
also, he's totally right though. fans should never over step boundaries and shouldn't think about anything "more" than a fan & artist relationship. sure there are times, when it's impossible not to dream about those things, but reality should stop you from getting upset/making something happen. A fan is a fan. not a friend, not a lover, not a parent...
This is late comment since I only see this vid passing by now. But my admiration to Izuru jumped up more because of this rant.
Also, kinda embarrassing to see those random english chats being mostly ignorant of what he were saying & busy by themselves.
the bgm even makes it exciting
I don't know this person, but I like him already. At first, I was taken aback by how blunt he is since that's rare with Japanese streamers/VTubers/singers/etc. However, damn, he's speaking facts! And I respect that so much. Snap off, sir!
Thank you for the translation! One more VTuber to my subscription list lol.
If you're new to him, that's... one hell of a clip to start with lmao Welcome to Holostars!
Yes it's not that common with Japanese personalities, one reason I love him so much, but the reality check was needed and heard loud and clear!
To familiarize yourself with him and the other members, you could check out the translated compilations of Among Us (the ones they all played together and the one Izuru played with overseas viewers in English)!
@@cassiopee9264 Thank you!
It is a strong first impression! That's why I was taken aback lolol.
I'll be checking the Among Us video then. Thank you for the suggestion!
@@kanta2521 I would also like to recommend his Eight Note playthrough singing lemon! It features a lot of izuru noises, it's 13 min long (short?) and as an extra you can hear his heavenly singing! Welcome to holostars 🎶🎶
@@chocolatevancandy9929 I will. Thank you for the recommendation and welcoming! ( *´꒳`*)♡
14 minutes of Izuru spitting facts? Sign me the hell up!
Like how would they feel if a random stranger sent them a gift and then expected them to be emotionally attached to said item and grovel at their feet thanking them for it. It’s so gross lol. I’m so glad he called this out !
the music really completes this experience
I got a headache and I am only half way through XD Sasuga mama Izuru
He really had to get it off his chest lmao
Parasocial relationships from the streamers' POV lmao
I love this kid
🤝
"Wakaru" is offically his new catchphrase lol
Lmao i can't help but think he's so mature yet so adorable
Thank you for translating!
Really mature for his age but still nerfs himself by saying he's just a child when it's convenient, peak duality 😭
You're welcome!
this kind of straightforward personality is actually so endearing omg, this was hilarious
Gotta love how he sets his boundaries, I think everyone is more likely to enjoy if the liver and chat are comfortable instead of someone being uncomfortable in one side (let's be honest, more often than not it's the livers who are in uncomfortable situations)
this easily became my favorite izuru clip LMAOOO GO OFF IZURU
i mean, it is annoying to be told all of this, as if izuru's listeners are only them. i agree with izuru tho, when someone wants to be recognized for giving what you wear is kinda weird, maybe that's why they're called kimo-ota (kimoi/gross otaku) lol
It's indeed a bit weird to expect that kind of individual recognition from someone several dozens of people have sent presents to, as well 😩
The two guys fighting in chat lmao
So much truth in what he says. I'm many months late to this translation but I'm glad I found it.
I understand the feeling of the viewer in a way: we all wish we could be that special chat person that our favourite vtuber remembers but it wouldn't be right for a vtuber to favour one viewer over another. I also want to say "wow..." He gots some real cool stuff for his birthday. Food processor?! Hahaha. That's really sweet of his fans.
us in the chat just got lectured and escaped to the free chat lol XD
My respect and love for him just went through the roof. I see him in a whole new light now
LMAO he's so cuteee, I feel like an ultimate masochist or something for adoring his roasts, kekeke, thanks of the Translation!
His roasts are the best I feel you 😭 you're welcome!
8:37 oh how I hate that one english chat
Thank you for clipping and translating this! I watched this stream live and had no idea what he talked about because he was kinda rapping lol. Tho I managed to understand a lil bit of it and I know he was mad at the moment, but I dont really know what else he talked about, so I'm very grateful of this clip! Its always very refreshing to see his straight-forwardness and honesty. Literally best boy
More people deserved to get the gist of what he said at least, I'm happy to help more people understand them! It's reeeally refreshing to hear all that, my mans doesn't play 😭 BEST BOY BADGE

He really gets the weird and immature ones so I'm really glad he tells them off

Glad to share the experience, it was transcending 😌
PLS HE LITERALLY JUST EXPOSED HIMSELF FOR BUYING PORN-
Not that I'm gonna blame him tho we all accidentally expose ourselves on sumt when we're angry 💀
i only understood half of what he's saying cuz he was kinda speaking in circles and it was a bit confusing but he's right, he works hard to stream and this is how we viewers treat him? of course it's not fair for him. also, i'm very disappointed at the english speaking viewers who were arguing (and mentioning) in the comments while izuru was talking about something serious. also, i'm very happy that izuru is not afraid of telling off his viewers instead of just enduring it and suffering
Amazing omg i love his bluntness and his rant to this delusional viewer and putting them in their place was so satisfying-
A little off topic but seeing that English comment “can you speak English” really pissed me off
One of the few reasons why I haven’t been watching Holostars lately is because of the saturated English comments in their chats. Yes. I know I’m an English speaker but we’re the foreigners here so we shouldn’t disrupt their time with Japanese speakers (too much) and expect them to speak English in their own Japanese speaking country. Makes me super fucking disappointed in English speakers, after seeing those comments.
Ikr!
I don't really like people demanding they speak in English when it's clearly not the objective of the stream, I feel you
Ohh I see, yes I see more and more people asking that we behave a little and leave some space for the JP Bros, I agree that we're overwhelming sometimes and it can be hard to watch (I'm quite embarrassed sometimes) but please continue to watch them
@@cassiopee9264 I’ll try!!!! I do miss them

(In the comment section of this one stream, the only comment he liked was an English one calling out these people, if I remember correctly)
I think this could be one of the reasons why he moved the translations to his Free Chat. But people can comment in English (he reads and replies to English comments!) as long as they don't chat among themselves and stray off topic. No worries, you can comment in your preferred language!
he said it was because it made it hard to read the comments.
Ok, thanks for the info
I think so he’s pretty strict about his chat rules
Ahh , i see. Thanks for the explanation and now i know why he really strict with this chat rules. For this couple day(or week maybe?) he actived slow mode maybe because chat become more mixed coment with random new people that don't know about this rule.
Resume of the vídeo "Wakaru ne? Wakaru ne? " xD
He can rest assured, we perfectly understood 😭

For hololive, the address should read:
Present for: (talent's name)
COVER Corporation
Net Depot Shin-Itabashi
1-6-1 Kaga
Itabashi-ku, Tokyo
Japan
Postal/ZIP Code: 173-0003

Thanks for the holostar clips! I really appreciate them as when I watcg them live I really only understand the basic japanese sentences so when I see people translate it in chat or clips, I feel really grate ful for them. Nice editing!

YO HE DID NIT JUST SAY HE'D SHOW HIS FANZA OUT LOUD LIKE THAT IZURU WTF
Who the fuck was that fan though, that was immensely rude of them to not only voice themselves like that, but to have the balls to give extra backstory to themselves. And for the love of Asgore, don't get me STARTED on how passive aggressive that entire thing was.
