Lauren as you told your birth story I could see it all happening! I am a mom of 2 and Mimi (grandma) to 4 also a former L&D nurse as well as NICU nurse. As you were saying the words I could feel the old feelings of the hurry up - rush that I would feel as the L& D nurse, then the words of the pale lifeless baby took me to the NICU days and my heart simply aches for you as a mom! That feeling you had to tell the Dr at the end of your visit is could motherly instinct and you will have that the rest of your life. I could go on with mama instincts that I had since being a mom but this is already long enough lol! So happy for you and Joe and absolutely love the name Weston! Congratulations!

Similar situation happened with my first baby. I'm so glad you listened to your gut. She was in the NICU for almost 2 months. Didn't get to hold her for a few weeks. Leaving her at the hospital was so hard. My miracle baby is now 10. She's smaller than others her age but she's an All-Star cheerleader, honor roll student, and an amazing big sister. Sending all the love and prayers to you and your beautiful family.
Aww that's terrible but I'm glad you had a happy ending! I was there for 5 days, he was 6..and the one day leaving him at the hospital was heartbreaking, I can't imagine 2 months :(

I just had a baby girl 3 months ago and this story made me more emotional than I expected. I cannot imagine and I am so so sorry you didn’t get to hold your baby right away, but you have your baby boy and that is what is most important. I thought I would have to have an emergency c-section 18 hrs into labor and had all these worries about what could be going wrong and why it wasn’t the same as my birth of my son… but I finally got her out and ripped like crazy and she got stuck! Ahh I went into labor thinking it would be easy because she was my second but she was so much harder than my first… but after everything, seeing your healthy baby is literally all it takes to wipe away any trauma gone through in the process of bringing them to the world ❤ I know you probably look at him and just cry sometimes out of gratitude. He is beautiful and you are so strong and blessed. 🙏🏻

My first son had to be born at 34 weeks via emergent c-section. He spent 25 days in the NICU. I totally understand and can emphasize with your experience. My baby is now a strong 15 year old! Omg Lauren… I cried during your birth story. I had an emergency c/s with my daughter because her heart rate dropped during labor and it wasn’t coming up so the doctor said “red” and I was rushed to the OR. I wasn’t numb enough from my epidural yet so I felt them starting the surgery so I was screaming and they made the decision to put me under general anesthesia so I never heard her first cry and I wasn’t the first to hold her and I don’t even remember the first time I held her. When I heard you start to cry in this video I felt your pain. Not knowing if your baby is going to make it is the scariest feeling in the world. Birth can be so traumatic and scary. Thank you for sharing your story. I’m so glad everything worked out and your little one is ok 😊
Girl!!!! Kudos take as much time as you need, it’s a real adjustment 😊 my sis has finally embraced motherhood. He’s almost crawling now and he’s a tank haha OMG i just heard your story 😢. I can’t believe your experience but so elated that everything is okay now. My sis thought there was something wrong every week. She was at the doc frequently. My sis had gone through an ordeal not close to what you went through but afterwards when baby was home. Basically he wasn’t getting any breast milk 😅.l for 3-4 days and finally my other sis realized and put him on formula and breast milk right away. He was so lethargic and pale and to see how big he is now tho 😅. What a sweet name story. Omg my 3 year old niece is Brooklyn and we call her Brooks / Brooke and Brooky 😊

Congratulations! I’ve been enjoying your channel for about 2 years now, but I don’t think I’ve commented. My oldest is 13 and he went straight to the nicu unexpectedly after an easy pregnancy too. It was absolutely traumatizing to miss that first day and I felt like I hardly saw him that week. It took me a few years to not cry when I talked about it. I’ll always be a little sad that i wasn’t even there for his first feeding or diaper change. If you experience this too, remember that this is normal and totally okay to have some feelings about it! It is so hard not to get that post birth baby time. All of my kids went to the Nicu right after birth. I grieved not getting that skin to skin experience with them. Ultimately they were all okay. Bless your sweet boy, and you for saying something when you felt like something was wrong.
So happy I know how emergency c cections I couldn't meet my daughter she's now 13 right away I had to wait an hour after they dealt with her on the warming drawer and they were caring for me and hubby was in my post part am room with skin on skin before I even got to hold her it was hard and I was so emotional when I did get to see her smell, her touch her little fingers it was heaven just holding her into my arms my second child I got to kiss as my OB took her to be checked after ilthe bilixal cord was cut by my hubby. Congrats on Weston he is the most adorable baby boy! I've been thinking if you and thinking you must be enjoying him to make a video good mama! So happy for you and Joe how does Mason like a new baby around? 💙
We're expecting our 3rd baby (double rainbow) in October seeing your baby has me so excited for those moments again. It goes by soooooo fast. Our other two are 9 and 6½ we've been trying for 3 years so we're soooooo excited. I'm in hyper nesting mode 😂.

Hello, your son is beautiful. I wish you all the best. I am a mom of twins, they came very surprised too early. I also didn't see them until days later. One of the twins had respiratory arrest after a week. That was bad. But now the 2 are five years old. They are just like all other children of their age. It hurts when you think about it. And it will hurt for a long time. But it's getting better. I'm thinking of you and your son.

I thought I would have to have an emergency c-section 18 hrs into labor and had all these worries about what could be going wrong and why it wasn’t the same as my birth of my son… but I finally got her out and ripped like crazy and she got stuck! Ahh I went into labor thinking it would be easy because she was my second but she was so much harder than my first… but after everything, seeing your healthy baby is literally all it takes to wipe away any trauma gone through in the process of bringing them to the world ❤ I know you probably look at him and just cry sometimes out of gratitude.
He is beautiful and you are so strong and blessed. 🙏🏻

Lauren, congratulations on your beautiful baby boy! Your story had me in tears but you are an amazingly strong momma and you trusted your gut! My first son had to be born at 34 weeks via emergent c-section. He spent 25 days in the NICU. I totally understand and can emphasize with your experience. My baby is now a strong 15 year old! Omg Lauren… I cried during your birth story. I had an emergency c/s with my daughter because her heart rate dropped during labor and it wasn’t coming up so the doctor said “red” and I was rushed to the OR. I wasn’t numb enough from my epidural yet so I felt them starting the surgery so I was screaming and they made the decision to put me under general anesthesia so I never heard her first cry and I wasn’t the first to hold her and I don’t even remember the first time I held her. When I heard you start to cry in this video I felt your pain. Not knowing if your baby is going to make it is the scariest feeling in the world. Birth can be so traumatic and scary. Thank you for sharing your story. I’m so glad everything worked out and your little one is ok 😊

OMG i just heard your story 😢. I can’t believe your experience but so elated that everything is okay now. My sis thought there was something wrong every week. She was at the doc frequently. My sis had gone through an ordeal not close to what you went through but afterwards when baby was home. Basically he wasn’t getting any breast milk 😅.l for 3-4 days and finally my other sis realized and put him on formula and breast milk right away. He was so lethargic and pale and to see how big he is now tho 😅.

Congratulations! I’ve been enjoying your channel for about 2 years now, but I don’t think I’ve commented. My oldest is 13 and he went straight to the nicu unexpectedly after an easy pregnancy too. It was absolutely traumatizing to miss that first day and I felt like I hardly saw him that week. It took me a few years to not cry when I talked about it. I’ll always be a little sad that i wasn’t even there for his first feeding or diaper change. If you experience this too, remember that this is normal and totally okay to have some feelings about it! Big hugs to you ❤ I wish your family the very best and can’t wait to see how you tackle motherhood and homemaking!

It is so hard not to get that post birth baby time. All of my kids went to the Nicu right after birth. I grieved not getting that skin to skin experience with them. Ultimately they were all okay. Bless your sweet boy, and you for saying something when you felt like something was wrong.

So happy I know how emergency c cections I couldn't meet my daughter she's now 13 right away I had to wait an hour after they dealt with her on the warming drawer and they were caring for me and hubby was in my post part am room with skin on skin before I even got to hold her it was hard and I was so emotional when I did get to see her smell, her touch her little fingers it was heaven just holding her into my arms my second child I got to kiss as my OB took her to be checked after ilthe bilixal cord was cut by my hubby. Congrats on Weston he is the most adorable baby boy! I've been thinking if you and thinking you must be enjoying him to make a video good mama! So happy for you and Joe how does Mason like a new baby around? 💙

Hello, your son is beautiful. I wish you all the best. I am a mom of twins, they came very surprised too early. I also didn't see them until days later. One of the twins had respiratory arrest after a week. That was bad. But now the 2 are five years old. They are just like all other children of their age. It hurts when you think about it. And it will hurt for a long time. But it's getting better. I'm thinking of you and your son.
