    The best comparison we've seen! We've been researching for two weeks to add a camera phone to our production set up for a second camera, behind the scenes, and moving camera. We want something that will be a close match for our 4k Lumix camera. Also, great to see an Alabama company and guy so successful on TH-cam! Congrats!

    Hello, I just discovered your channel and I'm very impressed with the quality of this comparison. I am definitely sticking around! Great job! Here's an idea: the same way you transition audio comparison from 1 device to the other, could you manually sync some photos (and maybe a few video shots, as much as possible given the difficult task) as such that half the screen is one and a half is the other, giving the same continuity as the audio comparison and offering a unique and clear way of seeing color/sharpness/HDR differences without having to move our eyes from one side of the screen to the other.
    An easy way of doing this, but not very pleasant for long videos, would be to mirror the images so that the same objects recorded by the 2 devices "meet" in the middle, revealing dramatically more of the differences.
    Even if it's not feasible, thanks for reading this! Cheers

    I've got the Note 10 Plus and a standard iPhone 11. On the standard lens I usually do prefer the images out of the iPhone, especially the night mode ones. I haven't been too impressed with the ultrawide on the iPhone though. I'm getting a lot lens distortion on the iPhone and overall I feel the quality of the Samsung ultrawide is just all around better. The super steady video on the Samsung is also an amazing feature to have especially when chasing a toddler around trying to get a good shot. Both look phenomenal in most optimal lighting situations.... really can't go wrong with either.

    Can you lock exposure and prevent the video flicker on the iPhone? Or does the smart HDR always does this weird effect?

  • @tdbone35
    @tdbone35 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Ok I got to say this. The Selfie shot of the blown out background happens to both phones. Not just Samsung, I noticed the angle is the phones will allow certain shots to be worse than others when focusing on a selfie. Now the live focus of the Samsung can be adjusted and the hdr doesn't handle whites due to this fact. It actually helps the blur effect in the background. As far as 4k video white highlights, there was a camera software update that addressed this issue as well. But I'm in agreement the 4k looks sharper as of now for the 11pro

  • @InvisiMan2006
    @InvisiMan2006 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    For better HDR videos on the Note 10+, you have to enable HDR10+, which is something the iPhone doesn't offer - it will improve video quality and HDR quite a bit.
    On a side note, why do skin tones on the iphone always look like the person either has jaundice, a sunburn, or a ton of makeup on?

  • @kenroman777

    excellent video.I was a bit taken back at some of the reviews of others showing washed out clouds on the Samsung so I did tests with my note10+ and honestly I could not fault how it handles the sky in all video and still modes I tried. One of the best and unbiased reviews I've seen. Well done. You've got a new subscriber. Really is a draw overall in my opinion. Both have strengths and weaknesses. The worrying thing for Apple I would think though, is that this is them catching up, but not clearly surpassing. As the S11 (really the phone to compare the iPhone 11 with) with a mega 108MP sensor and 5x optical zoom is around the corner, it doesn't look good for them as I see the S11 absolutely crushing the competition.

    One thing I would like to see, that you might consider showing next time, which makes a difference to my fiance and I, is how well the photo can have filters added or the just edited. My Pixel2 has lower light pictures initially but always is the better photo to edit over her iPhoneX. It collects more data so to speak and therefore has a wider range of scalability. She always has me take photos, despite constantly ragging on me for having inferior phone haha.

    • @AuthenTech
      @AuthenTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate that. The difficult part with "editing possibilities" is quite relative, as each app is different, each user likes to edit differently, etc. Shooting in "Auto" mode is a great baseline to start at. I might be wrong, but I think Note10+ allows RAW photo capture which would be much better for post-processing.

    That stabilization on the Note tho! The Note sacrifices the exposure in the background to keep the subject well focused a much better exposed. Hopefully Apple and Samsung release a software update to fix their issues. Apple needs to fix the front facing video flickering and Samsung needs to fix the rear video jittering. Other than that, both phones have great cameras.

    There are certain shots where you don't consider it to angle more the Note 10+ can give better results And we can't forget that the Note has better manual options than the one who uses or has used them will realize that it would leave the iPhone and Pixel well behind.

Not like iJustine who makes the comparisons, at least in the iPhone 11-Note 10 comparison, completely unfair, or ZONE of TECH, who has a slight edge support for Samsung. I say it again: you and MrWhoseTheBoss are my favourite tech youtubers. By the way, I am a Samsung fan, owning a Galaxy S10 Plus.

      Avand in vedere ca de joculetele care consuma multa putere nu ma ating, nu cred ca voi avea nevoie de medium power saving or adaptive. Camera,bateria, designul si s-penul m-au atras la inceput.

    Thanks a lot from the awesome comparison, especially in vlogging mode with the selfie camera. I'm a lifelong iPhone user, but I'm gonna switch over to Note 10+ on Black Friday. Two main reasons for the switch is expandable memory, and I prefer the color science on Samsung cameras. I've always hated how iPhone makes everyone look red like they have sunburn.

    • @worldshaking0502
      @worldshaking0502 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True, the selfie videos looks like he had a nasty sunburn on the iPhone. Besides, the focus of the viewer is on the foreground subject and not the background. I don’t mind if the sky is blown out on the Samsung if my face turned out to be clearer and brighter.

      @@worldshaking0502 Like I said in another post, HDR is overrated, and only tech purists are fixated on it. The rest of the consumer population don't want dynamic range, because all it does is bring out the blemishes and wrinkles in your selfies. When we watch vlogs, we look at the face of the vlogger, not the clouds in the background. Note 10's color science flatters the person's face with superior lighting and exposure. iPhone brings out the details in the clouds. Big whoop. Unless you have a fetish for cloud formations, I think Note 10's the way to go.
