She makes context that sometimes doesn't exist or is not quiet right. Because she does not care about those artists. Fair. You don't have to care about everyone. But here she e.g. names Ateez as someone who does not give credit in one example. I'm not even a fan and I know that one member is very much a fan of Jimin. So much so that fans have gifted him quiet a bit of merch of Jimin. Do you know who Shinhwa are? They are pretty much the oldest Idol group that still exists as a full group. I think either this year or last year they had a comeback (they had to exclude a member on short notice as he was involved in a DUI accident i think - but that was after that statement). So Ateez members were asking to be together for a long time and not for fame and success when they mentioned them in that particular interview. It's not surprising that people that are fans of them are not happy about those things. Which is one of the reason I would point also at bby gang mag for more video essays as he comes from a different angle and makes people less angry. Which doesnt mean that boracity's video essays are not needed. They are! 💜
A lot of people love submissive tones in women.. The don't like the fact that she speak facts 💯 and most of all have receipts. Also she has not make her channel about herself by being visible. I love how also by the time you are finish with viewing her videos you learn so much.
Boracity amazes me coz I recently found out that she's a hardcore metal fan. And her insight about Bts and Metal really opened my eyes on how to view music. I was genuinely amazed when I found out a lot of metal fans are huge fans of bts.
Lmao same, from high school til 28, I was a A7X and Mudvayne fan, now Im 35 and been Army since I was 28, never thought Id genuinely be a fan of any boygroup or band like I am with Bts, where I purchase merch and albums, even Army membership. I work, support my daughter, pay bills, Im a pothead and I am part of Bts Army, just recently I wanted to feel nostalgic so I put on some A7X and SOTD, but I couldnt take it, instead I feel nostalgic when I listen to the first Bts song I heard.
@@JesusOurLordandSavior Eyh! There u go! This makes me so happy. I've only been a fan of bts for like 4 1/2 years. It's a good thing that I listen to a lot of genres and that the meanings, performances and the artists' passion was something I look at coz like Boracity, that's what also caught my eye from bts. I honestly regret not giving the a chance earlier on. This is also the first time I became a genuine fan of a boyband. I'm usually just a casual listener of any artist. Never have I thought I would buy albums and merch (I only started last year). Ever since I became an Army, I never thought I would be more excited about something than I do with videogames. I work at home as a freelancer, support my whole family that way and haven't seen sunlight in like 6 years. (JK I go out like twice a month to run errands lol). I don't have a kid of my own yet but I support my siblings education. Also, I realized that bts has a song for everything. I listen to their music for like, a whole day, (Other than for votings).
i didn't know that about Boracity, if there is a video on it I'm curious to see what they have to say but oh yes we are. I think us metal fans also are more open to a lot of stuff than mainstream pop- and hip hop fans generally are. Like we are no strangers to artists doing their own thing and not looking mainstream or following normes. There are theatrical performances, make up and dressing in ways that can be seen provocative and not masculine like mixing in female clothes and costumes in metal and rock. And the Metal God is gay so yeah we are mostly open minded sweet people willing to give artists a chance and see them for their talent not just surface and not wanting our artists to be like everyone else or following stereotypes or normes.
I really don't understand why some fans from other groups don't accept the truth, when even their favs agree that bts paved the way 🤷🤷... recognizing that bangtan paved the way does not mean that the achievements of other groups are not valid.
I've seen some Stays arguing about that. It's funny to me tbh. Bang Chan said multiple times that Bangtan paved the way and a lot of Stays still can't accept it. Make it make sense 🤷
Another reason to love BTS and what sets them apart, the actual love for the music, they are true artists, true musicians. They appreciate culture and talents and give credit to those that influenced them. They don’t take it as if it’s their own and they invented it. Chicken Noodle Soup remake for example, J Hope paid for those rights out of his own pocket AND THEN released it for FREE. They do it for the love. And they don’t profit off another artist’s creation. He did this out of appreciation, because Chicken Noodle Soup had influenced him early on in his dance. He bought the rights, did his thing, and then released for free!! Who does that in the west?? Who does that in a greedy industry?? Why we love these guys!! So humble. 💜
18:05 ARMYs have their biases, but in our fandom if you are a fan of only one of BTS members, you are not an ARMY, you are solo stan. I'd fight to death for Suga, but I'd do the same for every one of them. I can't imagine putting him higher - as an artist or as a person - than six other BTS members. Solo stans are not welcomed in our community. Sure, one particular member can be your entry point in BTS, but as you pass this entry point, you are BTS fan, not Suga's, Jimin's or JK's fan. If you can't love and appreciate all of them - we'd have some serious talk with you.
I am not a Kpop fan! I most definitely am an army. Just a BTS fan. I am 62. They are my favorite group of my life time! I have no problem with any fans liking multiple Kpop group at all. I just found BTS in a critical time in my life. They bring comfort and laughter me. I am sure other groups fan fell the same as well! I love all 7 no bias.
Someone who gets it. I have a bias, but it doesn't mean I love him or put him on a higher pedestal than the other six just because of it. I'm OT7, they are a team, without one of them there's no BTS. Everyone is important. It's ok to have a bias, to connect more with one or more members than others but it is unacceptable to push other members aside just because you have a favorite. That is why I'm hoping that while they are in the army, all the solo stans, fake, toxic fans can be out of the fandom. ARMY are realest ones out there.
I liked how an Army described it on Twitter, she said "BIAS = person you relate the most on a personal level. It isn't a preference over other members.... You can have a bias who you think you share a similar personality with, but your love for all the other members is going to be the same as well. No member comes before the others."
Very well said! I understand their point because when my daughter started stanning them I couldn't understand how she could love all seven of them. I assumed there had to be a talented one or ones, and the rest were just there. There are so many things I learned from them, it feels like I had to unlearn all I knew just from my western perspective. I didn't know I also had the capacity to love all seven equally. Biased but constantly wrecked by all of them!
After being an ARMY for 5 years and hearing this conversation the entire time, I've come to a different opinion on the "paved the way" idea. Many fans of the previous generations and of BTS' 3rd gen peers don't like the proclamation because they feel it ignores the work done by their predecessors - understandable. They'd like for BTS to be seen as simply the next in the natural progression of the kpop industry's growth. But what I've realized is that BTS' success is NOT simply the next in the natural progression; they are an exception, an anomaly. ARMY has been and is still what holds BTS up. The gp is not what got BTS in this position, the industry isn't either. For all of the international & US artists they have as friends, BTS still gets paid dust from US AND non-US radio. Every time they are invited on award shows, even in SK, it us done begrudgingly because they want the rantings. ARMY shows up irl & virtually without fail. However, those institutions would rather have a group that plays the payola game, a group with a fandom willing to put their energy behind other artists too. Imagine if certain western artists had to play by the same rules as BTS? No radio, minimal playlisting, their music constantly missing from certain award categories? Would they be able to achieve BTS' numbers with only their fandom behind them? ARMY is BTS' true industry and we're here because we love them. We may like more kpop because of them, we may have developed an interest in Korean culture because of them, we may enjoy supporting a non-English speaking group and promoting diversity. But none of those things are actually our motivation, only BTS is. That's what the kpop industry, kpop fans, and the western industries truly dislike; ARMY ONLY cares about BTS in the end. They are the core reason we ride so hard. So even if every ARMY agreed that BTS didn't pave the way, nothing will change. This avenue to greater international visibility for kpop in general was just a byproduct of ARMY being so devoted and active, and of BTS always giving us reason to be.
100% agree with this!! And this is why both k industry and western industry keep trying to create the "next BTS" and keep failing every single time. You can't replicate ARMY
Agree with this and this is very very true "ARMY being so devoted and active and of BTS always giving us reason to be". Yes, we love BTS they love ARMY 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜
As Korean music critic Kim Youngdae said in yesterday's article. (Paraphrasing) "BTS did not grow because of K-POP. NOPE. It's because of BTS themselves, their own team AND the most crucial, ARMY. A GLOBAL fandom." Thus, BTS is not 100% kpop. The k-pop industry had NOTHING to do with their success. But k-pop is USING BTS' fame to push itself by making themselves portray as bigger than BTS
There aren’t even words for how I feel watching that red carpet moment… 😢 And you are totally right that they were seeing them as nobody…and people wonder why we are protective of them? There are these unbelievably talented and hardworking guys with the most beautiful bond and fun personalities, so humble…and we see stuff like that. Ugh. BTS forever.
I, too, was disturbed, actually disgusted by the press responses to BTS on the red carpet. These young men were treated poorly, stereotyped (ex. the Japanese greeting) and disrespected. Success through living one's purpose with integrity and love is the best revenge for all who treated them as less than and not being treated with dignity and respect ALL people deserve. Sorry for the rant. That part of video really hurt to watch. Thank you to the producer of this video. I have learned alot and feel prepared to speak truth to those misinformed.
ive been an army for almost 8 years now and i can say things changed drastically on the kpop scene once bts got popular overseas. kpop stans love undermining bts' success and journey but facts are facts, they paved the way, its as simple as that. so many things kpop can do now weren't even imagined back then and are now only possible because bts showed it can be done, trying to deny it is pointless and basically just fooling yourself into believing something that just isnt true
1. When you become a part of ARMY, you get to learn SO many things. More than just music. 2. BTS has ALWAYS recognised and respected Black Music. 3. Individual or group, it's all about how it with the public. 4. Want to be BTS? Then get someone like those 7 precious men AND a fandom like ARMY. But still it won't be possible. 5. Namjoon recently said in an interview, he wants to create a timeless art. Not 1 time hit wonder. It's possible ONLY if there is originality. It's 10 years now. But 2cool4skool still applies to today's world. Who else has that kind of discography? There is so much more than just romance, money and objectifying women.
I would also add that a lot of music is objectifying men as well, in my opinion. Also, there are a lot of music where women objectify themselves too...
I feel sorry for the people who says BTS's time has over can you imagine they dropped a song as gift for us ARMYs on festa and broke so many records that even other groups couldn't do it with their real comeback !!!!!! I mean they're not even close
Bcoz they are all in denial🤭they cant accept the fact that no matter what they do or say, our boys will always on the top of the game. They already achieved so much, no need for them to proved anything else bcoz they are already a legend. As long as army reunites nobody can down our boys💪💜
A few people got mad that Jimin said F*ck all your opps in Set Me Free Pt 2, but that red carpet experience is a minor example of their oppositions. These men are so strong to go through this and keep showing up. They knew what was being said, RM understood. Their team knew.
I was shocked that sweet Jimin said that, but mad, no. How could I be? He has put up with so much BS and took a moment to release his anger out in one hell of a good song! They aren't kids, they are grown men that are sick of being used and treated poorly by media. So proud of them for finally starting to lash out a bit yet still do things like "Take Two" for those that have their backs 100%.
@@ldyerin4934 I don’t think Army was mad, it was a few people in the black community who were offended and I am not saying who can and can’t be offended, I agree that artists should not appropriate black culture but I think if they knew how respectful they are about the rappers that inspired them, and also if they knew how much hate these members get that they might be a bit less offended that he used the word Opps. I wasn’t worried about the F word lol, some of us live for it 💜
@@bluehourtarot Besides who gives entitled people the right to say who can or can't use a word or an abrevation of a word. As long as they're not using racists insults.
The collab bt Wale & RM “Change” was released right after the corrupt president at the time at end of 2017 was impeached, and a president who even supported BTS even giving them the Cultural Merit of Honor Medal, never before ever awarded to anyone so young, let alone a Kpop group. But meanwhile in the America trump was just nominated as president. This was before blm movement but so many shootings were always going on that Wale touched on as well as so much more that was so timely then as well as equally relevant now! He flew to Korea to do this amazingly phenomenal collab with RM! It all came about when army knowing how much RM lived & respected his songs, mentioned it to Wale, who then got in contact with RM! This songs MV is an absolute must to watch for so many reasons! 🙏👍🔥❤🔥😍
I like how you mentioned the phrase "Lonely at the top" when Jin was saying he has like 10 celebrity friends in his contact list. I know as viewers and as fans, I, we only know a little about the artists we follow since we only see what they want us to see. But watching bts all these years, from clips, youtube videos, behind the scenes, concerts, variety shows, etc, I noticed they're extremely genuine and thus making them seem approachable and relatable in so many aspects. And from an introvert's perspective, I can tell when someone is feeling awkward or uncomfortable by being the center of attention. Tho bts have been in the spotlight for over a decade, they still feel the pressure of being the topic of conversations. It's like being nervous from being a speaker in a conference despite having years of experience. These guys have a hard time moving in the spotlight when one member is missing. And from that, you can tell the bond and how much they rely on each other. And yes, they have their teams behind the scenes that they are close with and are comfortable to be with. But it's different for the bts members themselves coz these guys are basically family that lived together in one roof for most of their career. Both bts members and their teams are coworkers. Their colleagues. But the teams (Staff, directors, producers, and choreographers etc), may be close to them. But it's like, they're someone you're really close with, while the other is someone who knows so much about you like what color your toothbrush is. One is family at work(the team), the other is family you grew up with(Bts members).
BTS success is really unprecedented. That even their own label is trying to replicate it but failing with their groups. I really think BTS and armys deserves a lot of praise for bringing them this far
24:31 i love that with bts, if someone asks for song recs i can be like "well what kinda music do u usually listen to?" and i can usually recommend something that bts did that's similar
The way I see it, the people who acknowledge what BTS did to Kpop industry, are not insecure at all. They are confident that they are also talented. And they are also real because whenever BTS have a chance encounter with these people, it's always good to watch. I have seen BTS members interact with other idol group members and it's nice to see that on stage too. The admiration and respect... It's nice to hear that even BTS's seniors acknowledge what BTS has done to Kpop Industry, like Rain and Psy, Shinwha and Epik High (whom BTS look up to and BTS respect them so much). It just goes to show that BTS (and ARMY) really worked hard to get to where they are right now.
PSY didn’t pave the way ,but he did open the door. BTS always thanked him when they saw him. Thanks for another great reaction! Your one of my favorite reactors! 💜💜💜
Crazy Jennie said that bc when Black Pink dropped, they were only big in South Korea at the time. It wasn’t until BTS broke music barriers in the western industry that they blew up. Straight up
I don't follow their music because it personally not for me and their dressing to me is not appropriate also as a young woman. Now they claim they are bigger than BTS but when you combine all groups together and BTS 😂😂😂😂 still BTS is bigger than all of them combine. The same way you combine all the agencies together still HYBE is bigger than them 😂😂😂😂😂 I call this POWER
Yes they paved they way on their own and haters can't accept the fact that the people they always looked down on are now the people they can't live without but LOVE TO THEM BORAHAE 🫰🏾🫰🏾
Their hilarious lovable personalities is what made me love them. They make me smile and laugh. Because of that I listened to their music and learned more about their talents.
27:49 for example jhope's "chicken noodle soup" song. Bianca Bonnie (the original creator of the song) received $2.7 million USD for him to remake the song. she even thanked him publicly on an insta post. BTS always credits other artists. they pay the dues
Every group that attempted the west had mentioned BTS did it, not us, even the west is deniying BTS approach, without BTS Kpop would not have the impact, and that is a fact, all group's after BTS had followed them, BlackPink, NCT, the lot, they never would have been their if BTS didn't do it first
Ya know, my father told me as I was growing up to be good to the people you meet on the way up that ladder, because they are the same people you will meet on the way back down. Good advice. 😊
❣️Another reason that sets BTS apart as well as made such diehard fans in army was the ever so meaningful, inspirational lyrics that helped so many in so many ways. The suicide rate in Korea was quite huge especially for adolescence who had so much pressure to do what society & parents dictate putting so much pressure on them. BTS were one of the first to speak up and say to follow your own dreams, not to live for others dreams, to never give up, believe in yourself. Even BTS first song “No More dreams” kept asking “what is your dream” over & over! At the time the corrupt president was still in power, blacklisting many artists who spoke up against societal & government dictates. But BTS still took the chance! So many army of all ages, have sworn just how much not only BTS has helped them in so many ways specking up for the disenfranchised, who had no voice of their own, but in countless cases literally saved many army’s lives! So BTS as amazingly talented as they are, also are so much more that I’m not sure just any “Kpop” group, nor many of any ppl around the world could achieve what they’ve done. The hope & support they’ve offered! And so much more!
Great reaction. FYI on a few things. 1- Psy was and is HUGE in Korea. Gangnam Style blew up unexpectedly and there was no roadmap. It’s more that a song broke through vs an artist opening the big door for others 2- the part at 15:10 about when they were facing hardships in 2017 with the things said right in front of them- the thing about their age, saying “oh are they 16/17” when they were all adults, mostly 22-25 with the youngest being 20, then the “Konochiwa” was Japanese when they are Korean. It was all bordering on racist in assumptions based on their race, assuming they are so young because they aren’t western looking and then assuming they are Japanese just for being Asian. This is the first of your videos I’ve seen, I’ll definitely check out more! And I agree they have reached legend status. Once you reach that, it sort of doesn’t matter anymore. If any other kpop acts also reach that level, it doesn’t diminish BTS being legends (just like you said, Lebron being a legend doesn’t mean Michael Jordan isn’t still a legend) Also- I don’t think every artist has to try to be better than anyone else. Artists just need to be the best they can be and not compare themselves. It’s not sports. PS J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS
I’m so glad you reacted to her. I really like her. I personally feel that she should be required listening for everyone. She takes the curtains off a lot of facts and shows the reality. She exposes what really happened to BTS. React to all her stuff please. She doesn’t white wash the facts. Excellent review. So many people hate BTS for no reason other than jealousy because their favs are not able to accomplish what BTS has done. 💜💜
BTS are each other's cheerleaders, which speaks volume. Not to mention the love & support from ARMYs and vice versa. The energy, bond and connection are simply amazing. Stan Artists who stan you! 💜
Almost all the popular groups nowadays comes from the big 3 companies ( YG/ JYP/ SM ) BTS is the only group that made their company ( HYBE ) one of the top companies in the south korean industry. Big difference !
@@Letters634 yes these too had something special but till this day mamamoo are not as recognised as the ggs from big 3 (and I think they are better tbh ) despite their talent Before hype svt was so popular too but I didn't hear much about them till they joined hype they are rising currently that's for sure
@@BtsyearJK2025Exactly. Mamamoo, IU and BTS are the only true artists in idol music for me. And because of the medium 3 .media play they are not recognized..Oh what I wouldn't give for them to be in HYBE some way.
Trust me…ARMY are legit bookkeepers. If it doesn’t have a receipt we won’t bother with it.💜I love your pragmatic approach, and I love your honesty and your insight. Good or bad if it’s the truth, it’s beautiful.💜💜
I really love your reactions, insights and discussion. Being an ARMY would make you really strong to support and love the boys for all the things they have achieved and went through. The last clip of them dancing is the Run BTS dance practice
This is going to be a AMAZING reaction fave 🫰 & yes our bangtan boys paved the way its only hard for the haters to admit or understand lol like I told you when I sent you this many in kpop admit it even ones on other labels..it's only the haters or one's afraid to pass off their labels who won't admit it ❗️ this is all facts & logic 💜 Also trending on Twitter currently & always another reason I shot it to you 🫰
People wonder why ARMY is so die-hard for our men, look at the BS they STILL have to face, even after 10 years in the game. They have never had it easy, and still wake up every day with the hunger to keep pushing forward and do better. They keep making songs for ARMY because they love us as much as we love them, and they know we will have their backs for as long as they draw breath. I swore I would never get a meaningless tattoo on my body and guess what. On my wrist, clear as day, I have a BTS tattoo. A reminder of what I learned when falling for these guys.... to love my self. (I have the love yourself heart with purple clouds and stars) I can not ever thank them enough for making me a better person! Borahae to BTS and ARMY.
if you guys haven’t already, i think as rappers you guys would really enjoy namjoon and hobis sound cloud releases - specifically ‘joke’ (which has a music video but it does not have english subtitles, there’s a video on youtube with both subtitles and the mv if you search for it) and hobis “1 verse” !!
BTS is a dangerous entity in an industry that created a status quo where everyone must bow to their power. So they decided that if they can't get a fair shot by working within the status quo, they have to create a new way to get to the same goal. That was never allowed and it showed other tiny companies/groups that it's possible to make it despite everything they were taught. No other group had ever done that before and the powers within the kpop industry did everything they could to stifle that. The problem is that they can only control the fans of the groups from their own companies, they have no influence over ARMY.
Exactly and that what I called power. No idol can help a bankrupt company rise and built everything from scratch. Watching HYBE and big hig Entertainment how when their building looks like and how now they look like and they have money than the big 3 but 10 years ago they have nothing even they wanted to buy hybe. This what we call power and I love them so much the thing is even if bys grow old they are would part of HYBE cos they own shares also that shows now far they have come and how hard the company itself and these lovely boys have gone through. So let leave those who still don't understand and let's support them for as long as we are alive. Our 7 men will continue to shine
53:00 they sure have now more connection and power with tv, but what she meant is that big three literally tied with tv channels with familial ties, shares etc since 90th all kinds of shady business is involved as well
You can bet your ass BTS made it easier for KPop Idols to breakthrough AND have a platform in the U.S.(and the West in general). The thing is though, BTS has something extremely unique and beautiful and I don’t see any other group EVER being able to make the same impact as them! And just because you’re a KPop group it doesn’t mean it’s a given that they will do anywhere near as well or accepted! They have to have ‘that formula’! Those who disagree are jealous haters and those haters won’t ever admit it because they WANT to continue hating! They can keep flapping their beaks against it but that doesn’t change the facts!!!!!
Totally agree with you she gave out the correct definition of the phrase 'pathed the way'. She has to do that as many people don't know what that term means.
Alot of Kpop idols say BTS paved the way for other artists, STRAY KIDS [ Love BTS, Chan the leader of Stray Kids hangs around JK the youngest member of BTS ] also ATEEZ have said the same that BTS paved the way.
I appreciate your comment about getting into BTS and wanting to listen to other kpop groups to compare. I think it’s very natural progression of discovery and exploration and it shows how much of a gateway BTS has created for kpop when ppl want to listen to other groups. But I agree with you after listening to other groups I’ve only really been drawn in consistently to BTS.
15:46 the guy said “put your hands it’s freaking America” because usually when idols go to events like that in Korea, they usually use hand gestures when taking pictures (not all the time but you see it more than you see that in America).
Power vs. money in this world is SO SAD bc the ones getting hurt… are the artists. The ones who worked soooo hard for this dream. A lot of talent get dismissed
I would say that, or they have to become someone they are not or create music that isn't fully them because they have to fit a narrative or something..
when you said that you only knew about kpop until bts, that's exactly a reason why we say bts paved the way. so many youtube reactors react to bts and then end up reacting to other groups and liking them which is totally fine btw, but it's also another reason bts paved the way. if you were to ask random people if they knew kpop, they would mention bts because when a lot of people think of kpop, they think of bts. people didn't even know psy was korean or didn't know he did k-pop. when bts made it big in the west, people found out what k-pop was. they opened doors for other kpop groups and made it easier for them while bts had to go through struggles, hardship, racism, homophobic, etc. other kpop fandoms don't want to admit that bts paved the way because it wasn't their faves who opened the doors and made it big in the west first.
That's why I love you guys. You get authentic reactions. You tell your mind BTS started from the bottom, they did their own.usic and made their own variety show because no one would give them a chance to appear on shows. Love you guys💜💜
Yes, everyone prior has helped even in a little bit BUT reality is the world was asleep to Kpop before BTS. It just was. Kpop has been around, but it was only big in Asia. They tried and tried to break through the western market and just couldn’t. At last, BTS did it. A group that was being held back by their own Kpop industry, treated like the step child nobody wanted, they did it by their own will, not with the backing of big labels and big teams and big budgets. Yes all kpop idols come from being trainees but BTS had to rise without all the other tools the other groups had. They made it without special connections. They literally from the ground up type success story. On top of that, being the first here BTS was met with a lot of criticism, racism, xenophobia because they are totally different from what America typically sees, different style, different culture, etc. so there was a lot of shit talking. New groups now coming to America won’t have that same experience because America now knows just how different the Kpop culture is, how different Korean culture is. Like being friendly and affectionate doesn’t make a guy weak or gay, the culture is like that. And not being hairy and buff doesn’t make them girls, that’s the different standard of beauty of Korea.
bts paved the way haters can’t agree because they can never be like them Bts is far from other group they are the best bts is not over they are the one that is over
Some people think that "paved the way" means someone doing something first. To an extent it's true, but that's NOT THE ONLY THING TO IT. To pave the way you must also make it easier for others to go through. Walking down that road first doesnt mean you've succeeded at getting to your destination; it doesnt mean the conditions of that route have been improved in any way shape or form. In fact, some people make it worse. BTS paved the way, because they also had impact. Long-lasting impact. The level of recognition that the "kpop" sphere is receiving is largely influenced by BTS. No hate to the other groups, especially the earlier generations and other OG groups, but being the OG doesn't mean they brought to the table the same contributions and accolades that BTS did.
Nice reaction Tre and Lamar! To be honest, I was not going to watch this reaction because I've seen it many times. However, I did and I really liked the conversation you were having about your experiences and your understanding of this video. I love to seeing your growth in understanding BTS and their position in the kpop industry. I look forward to seeing more of your reactions. 💜
Y’all should do her video about “the next bts” and yeah they really don’t have the connections they should have in Korea. They didn’t become successful through the Korean industries therefore they try to shun them. As if they aren’t the ones that caused bts to go a different route bc they were from a small company😂 she explains it way better in her videos so I really suggest y’all react to them
14:16 it's so disrespectful and disgusting. the age thing saying they are teens, "Konnichiwa" which is Japanese not Korean, "put your hands down, this is America" etc. And this is just a drop in the ocean of the disrespectful things said straight to them and just dust in the universe if you count all the disrespect said in media and by other artists etc but not directly to them and then all the sh*t said on twt it is just grotesque how people can act towards people only spreading good in this world and uniting people helping making the world a kinder thing. Like why the disrespect and hateful tone toward them on the red carpet for holding their hands up? that's fµcking racism.
When you were talking about being inspired by their beginnings. Did you notice that's a garage door in the background? They were making music out of a garage.
Excellent reaction and I love how even after knowing eachother a long time this started a conversation that provided an opportunity for discussion and learn something new about eachother. This is the true spirit of reaction. Excellent point to remain fair and not jumping to this as the conclusion. To be fair to artists that also work hard.
I would watch "the mistreatment of bts" by affectaed and "why is bts treated unfair in Korea" by Korean Crush to get an idea of what BTS was up against right from the beginning. These creators named names and showed receipts as well.
In that clip Blackpink didn't say they wanted to be the best. They said they wanted to be the ones to open the doors for other kpop groups, completely ignoring that BTS has already done that and in fact, did that for THEM. It would be like if you said "I'm going to make rap popular in the US." Like you go be a great artist fine but rap is already popular in the US and if fans of Drake and Jay-Z and Kendrick and J. Cole raise their eyebrows at you for being either ignorant or a hater, that's totally fair. That was the issue. It's totally fair for other artists to want to be the best. They should want to be the best. But saying they want to bring kpop to the mainstream and give other kpop groups visibility when they're benefitting that exact way because of BTS...that's just being a hater. Blackpink are haters. They've even accepted congrats for records BTS achieved. "We're really happy to be the first kpop group to _____" even when BTS did that same thing THREE YEARS PRIOR. Haters.
I believe that BTS are so big Bec of ARMY, and ARMY is here because BTS have always been genuine. They were from the start given levels of autonomy and artistic freedom not offered to other groups at the time. It's changing now but they still have less freedom of decisions. In some ways these groups are so overworked and controlled they will struggle to find their own message. I hope these groups are given space to grow into themselves.
At the beginning of the video she spoke about the Japanese training system, as you stated artist development. The Japanese training system was derived from the blueprint of Motown. It was called the Motown Charm School. Motown created a artist development system that honed their artists in the 1950's, 60's and 70's. Berry Gordy, founded the Motown Records Corporation in 1959 in Detroit, pioneered the idea an artists success could be charted if they treated their career the way workers treated products at on Detroit's assembly lines. Motown taught their artists how to sell their natural talent. Berry Gordy once said "create a place where a kid off the street, an unknown, could walk in one door, , go through a process, and come out another door, a star." What resulted from this idea was the Motown Quality Control system: producers submitted products for a vote, and in survival-of-the-fittest style, the best ones would make the cut to be sung by artistes, including the Miracles, Temptations, Four Tops, the Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Jackson 5, all selected through an equally rigorous and ruthless process. Gordy had essentially developed a hit-making factory. Motown artists had vocal training, public speaking, posture, walking, stage presence, etiquette, dance, personal grooming among other training. All of this information and exhibits can be found at the Motown Museum in Detroit. Motown was called Hitsville USA for a reason. This model was imported by a Japanese talent agency in the 60's and in 1995 Lee Soo-man (former CEO of SM) took Motown's blueprint and the Japanese model and created SM Entertainment. BTS has not become #1 because they were "made" or "trained" to be an idol group. The members of BTS were taught how to harness and improve their natural talent at Big Hit just like the older artists from Motown. They EARNED their #1 status and have definitely paved the way.
I really enjoyed this reaction, it was not biased, you tried to look at it from other's perspectives, but still came to the same conclusion she did. Keep up the good work!
Look it's simple very very simple bts is the best of the best they paved the way yes they did but no one can beat them no matter what they do because these 7 kings are born to be legends forever and nothing is ganna change that they're better than any kpop group or any foreign celebrities people should understand and put it inside that little jalousy mind of them cause where ever they go you'll see the different the uniqueness the karizma that they have no one has it before porahee army💜bts forever 💜 and no one else
If there is any other group i LOVE from the Korean music industry, it's KARD. They took the advantage of what was given to them and ran their course. And they are doing so amazing. Especially in the Latam. There is no media play for that group using BTS for clout. Many other groups use BTS in media for more clout.
The message is... Find your own way, don't try to copy others (bts for example) The beauty of this world lies in diversity, it translates into every aspect of our lives. Especially food and ... music. If you want to be successful, you have to show to people something different, something that they have never seen before. Be You,Do You
While BTS army have a bias ppl who ONLY like one member are called solos and pls be careful interacting with them they can be misleading and disingenuous. They usually try to paint their favored member as a victim of the group when that is simply not true. All army's love all members even if they have a memeber they like more usually ppls biases change. Solos are not good armys
Amazing video, learned alot as well. Thank you for reacting to this. Where can I find the link to the creator of the video you showed? Would love to reach out and thank the producer. Thank you Lamar and Tre...you're are the best. I appreciate you both!
Bora keeps it real, and kpop stans hate her for it. But you will never catch her slipping. She never says anything without receipts. Never leaves a room for counter arguments.. such an icon i must say
They were so disrespectful to BTS in the beginning😭 and they still get hate today. They are the most successful and even that gets dismissed 😢 Love BTS!💜
A lot of ppl don’t like her tone and feel like she’s coming for other groups but never is she dragging people. She just keeps it real
They are!
💜
We love bora for her honesty🤌🏻
A lot of people love submissive tones in women.. The don't like the fact that she speak facts 💯 and most of all have receipts. Also she has not make her channel about herself by being visible. I love how also by the time you are finish with viewing her videos you learn so much.
She is so smart and straight forward that other people can’t argue well so they just get mad.
@@ruthfischer7615 I like other groups including ateez and have never felt she was coming for them🤷🏾♀️
Boracity amazes me coz I recently found out that she's a hardcore metal fan.
That video was really good. I identified with it a lot.
@@bluehourtarot Lmao, Im sorry, but I just have a new perspective for the word identify or identified....I never thought that word could be dangerous.
Because they are in denial 😂😂😂😂😂😂 let them be in denial 💜💜💜
Exactly the numbers speak. BTS & army don't do the empty talk we only talk with evidences and that's what she did. Perfect job.

Very well said. That’s right! 💜
Very true. And at the end of the day what matters most is BTS💜ARMY..AFOBANGFO💜💜💜

Agree with this and this is very very true "ARMY being so devoted and active and of BTS always giving us reason to be".

But k-pop is USING BTS' fame to push itself by making themselves portray as bigger than BTS
interesting. Did Kim Youngdae say that last line about BTS not being kpop? just wondering...
@@AJP.OT7 no. Only till "global fandom" thing. Below that is all my personal talks.
Maybe i should "..." his part right? Else he'll be mistaken 🫣
Was totally uncalled for!!!💯
I, too, was disturbed, actually disgusted by the press responses to BTS on the red carpet.

It’s more that a song broke through vs an artist opening the big door for others
2- the part at 15:10 about when they were facing hardships in 2017 with the things said right in front of them- the thing about their age, saying “oh are they 16/17” when they were all adults, mostly 22-25 with the youngest being 20, then the “Konochiwa” was Japanese when they are Korean.
If any other kpop acts also reach that level, it doesn’t diminish BTS being legends (just like you said, Lebron being a legend doesn’t mean Michael Jordan isn’t still a legend)
Also- I don’t think every artist has to try to be better than anyone else. Artists just need to be the best they can be and not compare themselves. It’s not sports.
PS J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS
Well said I agree with everything u said!!!💯

This is going to be a AMAZING reaction fave 🫰 & yes our bangtan boys paved the way its only hard for the haters to admit or understand lol like I told you when I sent you this many in kpop admit it even ones on other labels..it's only the haters or one's afraid to pass off their labels who won't admit it ❗️ this is all facts & logic 💜
Also trending on Twitter currently & always another reason I shot it to you 🫰
People wonder why ARMY is so die-hard for our men, look at the BS they STILL have to face, even after 10 years in the game.
Hi guys. Thank you (again) for insightful commentary. I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work. ❤💜❤️💜
if you guys haven’t already, i think as rappers you guys would really enjoy namjoon and hobis sound cloud releases - specifically ‘joke’ (which has a music video but it does not have english subtitles, there’s a video on youtube with both subtitles and the mv if you search for it) and hobis “1 verse” !!
Bts paved the way for all.
53:00 they sure have now more connection and power with tv, but what she meant is that big three literally tied with tv channels with familial ties, shares etc since 90th all kinds of shady business is involved as well
BTS has original Japanese songs such as crystal snow, your eyes tell(written by JK) let it go and others. Yall should react to some of them.
She explains it very well and she presents it with facts! Wow!
Thank u and I agree with u
I always say that BTS will always be one of a kind group.
I sure do like you guys and your reactions.🙂
Thanks for being so thoughtful.💜
Our pleasure!
The thing about her videos is it's only facts even when she is stating her opinion it's provided with evidence
when you said that you only knew about kpop until bts, that's exactly a reason why we say bts paved the way. so many youtube reactors react to bts and then end up reacting to other groups and liking them which is totally fine btw, but it's also another reason bts paved the way. if you were to ask random people if they knew kpop, they would mention bts because when a lot of people think of kpop, they think of bts. people didn't even know psy was korean or didn't know he did k-pop. when bts made it big in the west, people found out what k-pop was. they opened doors for other kpop groups and made it easier for them while bts had to go through struggles, hardship, racism, homophobic, etc. other kpop fandoms don't want to admit that bts paved the way because it wasn't their faves who opened the doors and made it big in the west first.
That's why I love you guys. You get authentic reactions. You tell your mind BTS started from the bottom, they did their own.usic and made their own variety show because no one would give them a chance to appear on shows. Love you guys💜💜
Yes! That was Walé who performed with RM in a song called “Change” that has a MV that I highly urged you guys to react to! 👍🔥❤️🔥🙌😍
Me encantó ver como apreciaron y entendieron el punto de vista de la ARMY
And not being hairy and buff doesn’t make them girls, that’s the different standard of beauty of Korea.
bts paved the way haters can’t agree because they can never be like them Bts is far from other group they are the best bts is not over they are the one that is over
Gracias chicos por la reacción a ésta info!!! BTS!!! 💜
They don't read and they are in denial😂😂😂😂
Nice reaction Tre and Lamar! To be honest, I was not going to watch this reaction because I've seen it many times. However, I did and I really liked the conversation you were having about your experiences and your understanding of this video. I love to seeing your growth in understanding BTS and their position in the kpop industry. I look forward to seeing more of your reactions. 💜
Thank u 💜
BTS paved the way 🙌🏽
Y’all should do her video about “the next bts” and yeah they really don’t have the connections they should have in Korea.
Have subscribed, enjoy your understanding of the documentary, your comments and fresh take of Kpop
When you were talking about being inspired by their beginnings. Did you notice that's a garage door in the background? They were making music out of a garage.
Yes I noticed thank u
Amazing reaction you guys. Loved it.
😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🫰🏻
Thank you!! 😁
Thank you and love the crystal necklaces.
thank u
Excellent reaction and I love how even after knowing eachother a long time this started a conversation that provided an opportunity for discussion and learn something new about eachother.
This is the true spirit of reaction. Excellent point to remain fair and not jumping to this as the conclusion. To be fair to artists that also work hard.
I would watch "the mistreatment of bts" by affectaed and "why is bts treated unfair in Korea" by Korean Crush to get an idea of what BTS was up against right from the beginning. These creators named names and showed receipts as well.
Can I get the link to watch?

10:10 such a great point that you made there! i completely agree.
Huge respect to you guys... Borahae
Lamar is too cool for me in these glasses 😂😂 another great reaction 💜💜💜💜
Спасибо за реакцию!Смотрю вас с удовольствием!
I agree with her for all facts and reasons she gave for what the title is. I also like when you post and give some thought of it. Thanks 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I was always scared to watch that content bt m glad wen I saw u my favorite reactors react to it den I got some courage to watch it tugeda wz u😊🥺
thank u
The message is...
Find your own way, don't try to copy others (bts for example)
The beauty of this world lies in diversity, it translates into every aspect of our lives.
Solos are not good armys
solo's aren't ARMY period
Yes💜💜💜💜I love all the BTS members equally and support each of their solo as 7 members not just 1 member ❤❤❤
Me im watching your reaction because of bts
Who is the next bts, why always failed finding.. Who is next bts pls reaction also
Real shit
