That play where he guarded 4 different guys in one possession!!! If he can do that consistently, we got something major. Thats something sims even Mitchell cant do. I saw Ihart do it last year. If hukporti can do that consistently then we have the isiah replacement we need and should start winning alot of games. He sees the court so much better than sims.
60 minutes 8 blocks ! Wait until he has his good games , i watched as many full games as i could find overseas and was saying this since we drafted him
@ I thought Sims was OK for a few minutes as a 3rd center. Not good enough for primary backup at all… no offense, defense was passable and solid rebounding. Basically I liked his vertical-but I kept expecting him to improve offensively and he just didn’t. And now he’s 26. No upside.
I've been screaming for weeks that Hukpurti needed to take over Sims minutes. My husband kept saying that Sims needed a chance, until Friday's game. He finally agreed with me.
He resembles Randle in many ways, I’ve said this as recent as the other day in a comment on someone’s IG page. It’s like looking up and still seeing Randle on this team whenever he makes a play!. Insane in a good way. Lol
Huk isn’t all that bad and with playing time he will get better , I just don’t understand why not move Huk to the 5 and Towns to the ! Huk is more offensive minded than Robinson and the defense will get so much better with playing time !
@@makkos2870 that is my biggest knock against Mitch! If we are trying to win a chip while the core is in their prime we can’t do it with low IQ basketball players. He can’t even set a proper screen 🤦🏾♂️ and he’s not a kid anymore. We’ve seen his ceiling
CoorRect! I scouted him for the past two and a half years .. and the Knicks are on a twenty and five start. The Jericho and Robinson are good ... But, Today's coaching staff just aren't into developing players
Many teams are playing and winning with rookies now. The new generation of ballers can bring a new dynamic and lots of energy and creativity to a team, even one trying to win a chip.
🟧🟦🟧🟦🟧🟦🟧🟦That’s why I called him “The Incredible Huk”when we drafted him. Yes, we all raved about Tyler the Creator, and about Pacôme who’s your Dadiet, and rightly so, but I was in Huk Hive from day 1. By the way, yes, some of his body movement do remind me of Julius a lil bit, particularly when he dunks: and it’s more than just bc he’s a big Knick lefty of African descent. Anyways, I’m glad he’s finally getting the time. The blocks are gonna mount and he’ll be declining shots like overdrawn accounts!!! Let go!!! 🟧🟦🟧🟦🟧🟦🟧🟦
I like Huk like everyone else- and I definitely think he should be ahead of Sims. However, he really has to work on his rebounding if he wants to get on the court more- he simply gets boxed out too much and does not pull down enough rebounds for the minutes he gets and I’m sure this is what Thibodeau wants to see for him to get out on the court
Play Hukporti over Sims. It’s not a charity. I understand Thibs has loyalty to his players but Sim’s has constantly been outplayed. It’s time to make the change because he’s galvanizing the team with his energy and tenacity.
Straight up a lie. You can literally see the score was even in the replay earlier in the first quarter , and later on we got a 20 point lead with him on the court.

How the heck does a 22 year old high energy 7 footer that doesn't need to put any weight falls to 58..? that dude looks like a monster
he would have ranked higher, but he had some injuries and fell out of sight
@@makkos2870 He needs more minutes to develop because for what I've seen the potential is there
It had to be his injury history.
@@goozmaahn6420 most definitely, that would make teams hesitant to draft him
@@santimig127 Manu Ginobili was a 57th pick.
Put him at the 5, and carl at the 4, Og at 3, the NBA is cooked

Knicks are fortunate to have Hukporti, he looks like he is way more than an unpolished rookie. It's the right time to test him with minutes.
Point is this kids ceiling is much higher than Sims and offensively better than mitch.
Yes.
Sims did great last year, when Mitch decide to take vacations at final

His has the craziest upside I have seen
He's more aggressive more active and aware of the game and has more confidence and more energy then Sims.
D. All of the above!
Including the look of a gritty new Yorker. No cut or shape up . Just ready for whatever 🫡
Tibs needs to start him over sims tonight & future wise
Huck should start alongside Kat asap......my opinion.
Yes agree him at the 5 Towns to the 4
Nah not yet I would like him to put on at least 15 LBS of muscle first but he definitely looks good so far
I've been screaming for weeks that Hukpurti needed to take over Sims minutes.
My husband kept saying that Sims needed a chance, until Friday's game. He finally agreed with me.
There were many, Dadiet, Kolek, and Hukamania
I love the Julius Randle and Hukporti look alike take, they're literally twins on the court with the way they move haha!!!
That’s funny I was thinking the same lol 😂
Hukporti deserves more minutes I agree that he should be the main C off the bench not Sims

I WAS JUST THINKING THE SAME THING JR CRAZY
Tom has to give him more minutes to develop more and become a dependable knicks.
Now I know ppl might consider me a Mitch hater... but from my eye test, he's already better. 🤷🏾♂️ I said what I said
he is way smarter for sure
factssss

Way deeper offensive bag, better hands, and hella more athletic, but Mitchell Robinson is 200x better at rebounding.
Mitch has a bigger impact on the Knicks when healthy because of his rebounding and his experience.
unfortunately, Thibs is too stubborn to use Hukporti.

Huckperdy becomes very Essential. Simms needs to take the back seat. We have new sheriff in Town. It's not a Fluke
It's not who starts...It's who finished. Thibs correctly rewards those who have been there working hard.
rook all need more mins ..def huk should b bk c till he can start n put kat at the 4
The Hukster 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 definitely a steal in the draft this kid got game
Play him hukoporti

I just said on Friday that Hukporti looks like Jules, even when he dunks the ball
PRETTY SOON SOME BODY IS. GONNA NOTICE HIM LIKE DANNY ANGIE AND ASK THE KNICKS FOR YOU KNOW WHO FOR HIS 7 FOOT 2 YOU KNOW WHO 😉
He is better than Walker Kessler straight up.
Yup, I noticed he looked like Randle too lol.

He's definitely an upgrade over Sims.
Told you Huckperdy by the way his nick name Huckmania is way better than Simms.
Huckperdy is here to grab the Bulls by the Horns. This is going to be a wake ⏰️ call for Thib who don't like to play Rookies.
What difference does it make if Thibs doesn’t play him?
We have no rim protection
Thibs is way too stubborn!!!! Doesn’t get 1 minute to show case his skills!!!!!
Highlight reel?
Kinda looking a little Emiid-ish 😂
Greek freak Jr.
He doesn't really have a 3 ball... But he's KAT's teammate, so.
He has a good game ...then Thibs sits him...?
Pump the brakes Richie he was on the court when the nets were making a comeback. Lots of potential I still want Jericho.

@dorkasaurus_rex 4th Quarter Nets 40 Knicks 24..Hukporti - 4 Simms+6. He has Potential but we need Robinson back so fuk off and read the game.
