I've lived in New Orleans all my life not far from the French Quarter and this isn't the house. I Walked those streets and visited many places, Over the 75 years especially the cemeteries where many of my family and ancestors are buried. Never once was afraid, seen or felt a spirit. Never once did I ever think of being scared to walk alone at night growing up. But I can say this, the house I grew up in had 14 rooms and over the years many strange thing's did happen there. We saw a lady several times at the top of the stairs leading to the bedrooms. We Heard voices, sometimes they would call our name. We felt the present of someone in the house all the time. After a while you just get used to it, yes we were scared but out of all the times we saw this lady she didn't try to harm us. I hated getting home from school and being alone until one of my family members got home. I would always try to stay in the kitchen and avoid the living room where the stairs were. I wouldn't trade living or growing up anywhere else. Who knows maybe one day after I cross over I may get to meet the women who shared her house with us.
La Laurie was a devil on earth, and she faced no punishment for the torture on innocent souls. I found many news article's where La Laurie came back to Orleans many times (Family get together, to protest a will of a family member, and a party with friend's), but every show/book put her as never to be seen again. The thought of all the soul's still trapped, all due to her "Is one of the saddest thing's to think about". Cage never lived in the house, and eventually was actioned off. But I am sure La Lauri is suffering more than those she tortured, and wealth will not get her out of it. I know it will never happen, but I pray one day a buyer will have a goal to help those still stuck on their earthly prison "To move on to the piece they deserve".
@@jamiedavis8085 They are innocent and not stuck there at all! Pray then if you don't believe me. Souls trapped in the house? The murder victims? I can just about guarantee the innocent victims are not stuck there. She is probably stuck there. Stuck were she committed her evil acts and I am also sure there are demons there with her. She escaped nothing.
One horrible thing I read, was that after she fled the screams that were heard from the abandoned home were really slaves buried under the floors alive
The "American Horror Story" season called "The Coven" incorporated the story and character of Mme. LaLaurie. All of its tales were based on real events, which makes them even scarier.
But You are wrong . He lived there and owned house next door to skip in and out more unnoticed . Saw him there all the time and talked with him. Good Friends with his decorator . Tours like to say he was too afraid but that was BS
He did live there for awhile not long though but I suppose it was short lived due to the occurrences that went on there which are hearing about in this video but I must say this video doesn't even scratch the surface or should I say go into real depth of the things that woman perpetrated on those poor souls in that house
That could have made her snap, but I feel that she was twisted long before that. Perhaps her mother shared her habits and taught them to her? After all, our kids do as we do, not as we say.
@@LadyMavenabsolutely she had to of had some latent violent mental/emotional tendencies to have gone so extreme. I try to think of people I know or know of who’ve endured similar traumatic events & how they handled it. Obviously no one is going to be affected identically but to see the varying reactions & handling of very traumatic events from person to person can be very telling of the motherboard of a human before said traumatic event(s) took place. My daughter owned the LSU home in Mississippi. It is a mansion. They never went into part of the home. She believes the previous owners that built the home were into New Orleans voodoo. In fact the owner told them they probably wouldn't live their for long.
No it's not the real one looks beautiful on the outside and inside much of it restored and decorated other than that it's just a beautiful evil haunted property who's owner was just one of the seeds of Satan
@konstantynecrowley Cage hasn't lived there for a long time. An oil tycoon bought it from him and it just sold November 1st to someone else. It is on a busy tourist spot. Plus the ghost tour goes right by the front door.
It doesn’t matter if you have slept in a mansion or house or not. Spirits can travel from one place to another. It’s wiser to research a property before you purchase it. Not all realators tell you the truth about a place cause their trying to sell the property fast. Mr cage can always re sell the place removing himself from association from it.
I love hearing stories or history of New Orleans and this one is truly scary. I was just wondering if there ever was like a VooDoo person (not sure the correct terms for what this person would be called) ever went in to help free these poor souls?
Enough people from all walks of life have either visited there worked there worked on it etc and they all had their experiences and all claim the same thing I don't believe any more testimonials are needed for validation, that mansion has a history and that reputation for some time and generations
I do not recall the talk show Cage did when he was asked about the LaLaurie, but Cage himself said that he never heard, seen or felt anything while living there. Where was this information gathered from? Don't get me wrong this was entertaining, but till I see and hear Cage say it himself, this story is a lie.
This story was famous and a true crime story in New Orleans, what part don't you believe? It's history he knew all about before hand. Nothing new but I saw him avoid questions regarding the house during an interview.
The whole ghost hunt w doctor is a fake but “some”of historic facts are real. There are ghosts . Cage was aware and very into it but just shy in public .
It's always had a history...why would anyone buy it...knowing it's history, Unless it is WANTED BECAUSE OF THE SPIRITUAL BACKROUND...and even then I would question the individuals, and what they were into?
ATTENTION PLEASE, the thumbnail does not look like the mansion as it is today, perhaps that is how it originally looked before the fire and all the reconstruction afterwards, you can google to see the mansion as it is today, also Nicolas Cage did buy the property and lived there briefly before moving out or was chased out by paranormal activity, the stores about the original owner and the evil that she perpetrated on slaves is also true and documented in history however this video doesnt go into depth of all the atrocities and evil that woman perpetrated on those people, to learn that you need to research more about that demon, and lastly the mansion has a bad reputation and claims of hauntings and paranormal activity by many many many many people over the years and generations, Now, can we move on now without anymore distractions and explore the mind of satans seed and the evil she perpetrated behind closed doors all the while giving the outwardly illusion of being decent and highly sophisticated
Why didn't you use the real house for the photo? It's not like you can't just walk up on it. It's right in the Frenh Quarter on Royal Street. You can walk in front of it.
Obviously not the real La Laurie Mansion. Besides that, NC has public stated, repeatedly, that he never slept or spent a night in the house. Do some research! Lame!
no only afew sensationalized tours said that, . read my book! He slept in there the time. waved to me form balcinyand secretly went back and forth form the 2 adjoining houses wit a secret entrance. he was extremely upset about loosingi his favorire house

The thing that they don't mention is La Laurie s mother was killed in an uprising on a plantation shortly before this
AND MUCH
MORE ...

Probably justified considering their reputation during that period

I LIKED This story alot. THANK YOU.
I am glad that you like the story, I advise you to watch our other videos )
So intressting, thanks for share,so mutch haunting place over there, exaiting👻😱
The paranormal team should've (spiritually) cleansed themselves after leaving the LaLaurie Mansion.
It always surprises me when they don't
I DID AN EXCORCSIM ON SEVERAL OF THEM
That's not La Laurie house
DEF NOT THE HOUSE
Hahahaha really? God dam
True that it totally not
No it's not the real one looks beautiful on the outside and inside much of it restored and decorated other than that it's just a beautiful evil haunted property who's owner was just one of the seeds of Satan
You know I thought that doesn't look like the La Laurie mansion. I just thought my memory was a bit off! But no it is not!
Y’know, pictures of the actual house exist and are easy to come by - why not use one??
Probably doing it this way out of respect for cages privacy

He knew what he was buying
HE LOVED THE HOUSE, HE WAS SAD TO LOOSE IT
😮
Never heard about this interesting story
He no longer own it. The person who owns it now just keeps it for taxes. No one lives there and is the most haunted building in the quarter.

HE DIDN'T READ ABOUT IT BEFORE HE BOUGHT IT??? OH, HE DID😮😮😮
😮
I have been its in the quaters
Thats not the mansion
Everyone knows that I believe or they could research and look it up it's still evil and the owner regardless of what it looks like
If i could go there I would know if it was haunted or not.
I would too
Same here, plus so much more
Me too 👻
Don't

Prayers for NOLA 😢 HNY
Cage purchased the house, as he intended to use it, in an effort to write a novel.
And he has he has best sellier book and movie and nightmares
? What’s the name of his book?📕

Foreclosure? Nicholas Cage is wealthy.
He is broke and he had to come out of retirement
@terrymurphy7790 That's why he did the "Long Legs" movie?
He's still worth about 40 million though
Not the real house
The stories told in this video are based on urban legends and rumors.
Right
How do you know?
Sure Isn't !!! CAN'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING THAT'S ON THE INTERNET.
The photo is not the house.
That is not the house and Nicolas Cage does not own it anymore.
that image of the house if not the LaLorrie masion , Ive seen in the french quater!?????
That mansion has been haunted since 1787. Cage brought it "as is". He realized it truly is EVIL.
Nick, bro, where is your DAMN COMMON SENSE 🥺
This video would have been so much better if an actual person had narrated it
I recent real estate add lists it for over 14 million
