    The one crappy thing is that I'm still in Italian 104 in college. However, I know a lot of dialect because I speak with my parents. So most of the phrases I've mastered are in dialect. So often times it makes me sound uneducated when speaking to strangers in Italy

    This is great advice! Limited vocabulary is probably my biggest issue right now. With certain topics, I feel really confident and can express myself great, but with others I feel like I'm a complete beginner again! So the third tip is the one I'm working on the most at the moment ^_^

    •  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Andrea Heckler Thanks, happy to hear it! I've been slowly adding some new words into my vocab. Initially it's hard, but once you get it down it's so satisfying! :)

    Tom, would New York (Little Italy) be a good place to visit to experience total immersion? I'm thinking it would be cheaper than going all the way to Italy! Is there a specific place(s) or area you would recommend?

    I know this isn't about Italian but please reply. I have my French A level exam in a couple of months but don't know how to revise for it. I'm believe I'm capable of an A and I really want to do do to the best that I can achieve. Is it just making some essay plans for the writing exam and making sure you know the grammar? I have writing, reading, listening and oral exams.

    •  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +BarcelonaCobayo1998 Hi! I think if you cover the different verb tenses and practice writing longer passages you should be in good shape! Reading will help you to learn different ways of putting words together. Whenever I had an Italian exam in school I would just spit back out phrases I always would read or heard on tv shows. I'm sure you'll do great! Good luck! :)

    • @marquez2390
      @marquez2390 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TomTxxytu thanks very much for replying. How could I go about learning vocabulary on each topic?

    •  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +BarcelonaCobayo1998 No problem! I think you could probably pick up a lot just by reading articles online about different topics. I don't know what they'll cover on your exam, but I think anything that has to do with the environment, traveling, being at the airport, taking a bus, giving directions, history about a place, anything along those lines should be good. I know all my Italian exams had something to do with those topics.
