    Hi Tom, I am German and have recently started learning Italian and was searching for good youtube videos as one channel to get familiar. There are quite a few promising offers but yours I like by far the best. Well structured, smoothly and professionally presented and spreading a positive and motivating atmosphere. And as a side benefit I brush up my English. THANKS for your brillant videos and keep on producing them. Acting as a teacher sounds like your calling to me!

    thanks for the various ways to say these things. Sometimes, it may depend the region one is in..as to which is said more, so it is good to know the other ways

      Oppure semplicemnete "Come va?", "Come vai?"
      Italian is more relaxed when comes to greetings.
      Gli italiani generalmente sono molto rilassati.. Quindi non ti preoccupare.. Ti capirano, aprezzerano il tuo italiano e senno, fregati, sono troppi italiani carini che due o tre ti renda triste. Gli italiani sono i piu carini possibili e li amo.

      You can use both "ciao" and "ciao ciao" when you want to say "bye".
      Maybe "ciao ciao" is a little bit more used... But they are the same...

    • @xPrestigiousMusic
      @xPrestigiousMusic 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you. That's what I noticed when I talked to the people over there, when saying hi, it was typically just "ciao" and when saying goodbye it was "ciao ciao". Can't wait to go back

      Quello lo so, ma dettagli piccoli come dire ciao o ciao ciao per me sono importanti. E sono dettagli quando sono andato in vacanza che io ho notato. Forse non sono dettagli molto importanti per altre persone, ma a me mi piace studiare cose cosi, per utilizzare la prossima volta che ho una conversazione.

    I thought if you were trying to get past someone, in a doorway for instance, you would say 'permesso'. Is that correct?

    • @firstcapt75
      @firstcapt75 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah that’s correct!
      Permesso can be used when you’re trying to get past someone
      It is also used to ask permission before entering someone’s home

    "Scusate" è coretto, però sono un cretino e mi piace usare "Mi scusino" solo perché voglio vedere le reazioni quando qualcuno usa un tonno di cortesia molto alto quale non usano così tanto
