- April's addiction to her puppets has gotten so strong she can't go anywhere without them, practicing up to 12 hours a day. Meanwhile, Debbie is severely allergic to cats, but has over twenty of them, leaving her in isolation from the outside world.

I have 16 cats and my cats are very well taken care of and my house doesn't smell either.
Yeah the cats are getting enough to eat and appear to be in good health. I really don't see the problem here.

Yes!!. Also take some allergy msds. Just over the counter. It's obviously not that severe an allergy. A lot of people just take meds and still have cats. That was just to make or sound worse than it was. It really isn't that bad. Not ideal, but not horrible.😂

Why is it such a big deal that these women go on dates? Why can't women be single and happy? They focus so much on love, but I know plenty of people who are single in their 50's and happy. Women do not need a man to be happy.
We as humans crave relationships. You might think that single 50 year old is happy. But are they really? I have seen lots of people who said fuck relationships and then became desperate when they get older. Being in a relationship has its good and bad. It’s something to love and fight for. I love my man, he is so wonderful and adds to my life.

I'd be friends with the puppy lady, I like weird. But her literally talking through the puppets in every conversation would definitely get old. If she could maybe separate herself from the puppet I think she'd be totally fine.
I agree, I like her quirkiness. These shows always seem to cast people in bad lights but she seems like a cool, funny chick. That’s the difference between a compulsive addiction and hyper interest or obsession though.

What’s horrible is what leads these people to become addicted to these things, I feel like every time this happens it’s bc of either childhood “trauma” or the loss of a loved one, and this is their coping mechanism 😕

It was pretty good advice that the therapist gave her though. She's using the puppets to express herself and her emotions. Instead of just expressing her emotions herself. She can't hold down a job because of the puppets. Granted she is a nice woman. And if she doesn't do the ventriloquism so much she could probably have a more normal life. May be get more friends and have a relationship.

I actually really like the puppet gal, she seems really fun. And I think they need friends not love interests. Many times when people get into a sexual relationship they neglect their friends, and since she seems slightly anti social, I think she needs to slowly rebuild her friend group. I volunteer for a non profit animal rescue and I work with cats. They're wonderful and they truly bring me so much happiness but...if you can't even COUNT the cats you own...you may need to take a step back and ask yourself, "am I really doing more good than harm?"
The cat lady is actually taking wonderful care of those cats. Who knows where they would be if she wasn’t taking care of them. I think it’s wonderful that she cares for them. I know it makes her sick and she probably shouldn’t have so many but all that aside she’s doing a great thing and providing for them very well.
