Thanks for providing all these videos! The G3X is so much more intuitive and easier to use than the G1000. I just started flying and learning the Xcub today and was amazed by the G3X. Picked up some additional info. watching your video. Tail draggers are quite the animal when landing, ended up on my nose coming in to hot on one of landings, lol.

If you could make a video talking about ILS and how to use it, that would be so helpful. I don't know where you're meant to get these frequencies, and I don't understand what the different approaches mean, or what the transitions are (HFD). Is it something you need to study beforehand, or do the transition abbreviations mean something intuitively.

Ive been OBSESSED with your videos PG, I really appreciate how thorough you are being as well as how calming your voice is. Are you by chance going to do a tutorial on using the approach autopilot? I am getting more comfortable with NAV, HDG, FLC, etc, but when it comes to transitioning to landing, all I see is just a direct line to the airport. What do we need to do to ensure we hit the "entry" points and then use APR?

Can you only enter an approach procedure after entering a direct GPS destination? On the G1000 I can freely choose for which airport I want to prepare the procedure for a stopover without screwing up my FPL, and delete the approach again before I take off for the next leg to de-clutter the map. Is there no way to do it on the G3X?

Thanks for this video. I have an issue with myXCub, and I see that you have the same issue - the map is not orientated to North correctly. When you are flying a 90° course, the aircraft icon in the centre of the map should be heading due East, 90°, yet on mine and yours it's showing the aircraft flying roughly at about a 70° angle! Is there any way to re-align the map to North? Hope you or someone can answer this as it's driving me nuts! The map seems to be permanently c15° out. Also, has anyone else noticed that in the Bush Trips, the POI markers are missing from the VFR map in the Cubs?

Does G3X work for anybody for ILS approaches? I cannot do KPDK-GA27-AABEE-CHAMB-KPDK (ILS 21L). AP just gets me into weird attitudes so I have to disengage and recover and then I cannot seem to delete AABEE and go to CHAMB and AP puts me into weird attitude again. Am I having a user errot or G3X just doesn't work for ILS approaches?

I like the pace of your vids. Keep up the great work. The thing is that if you are going to stuff that much automation into a high performance cub, why not go the distance and make a fully functional legs page that allows you to build your own RNAV approaches? There are many real world missions that require the abilty to get into and out of some very remote locations with mountainous terrain in IMC. conditions.

      1) From the full-screen PFD and/or split-screen PFD Page, press the MENU
      Key.
      2) Move the FMS Joystick to highlight the Wind Vector field.
      3) Turn the FMS Joystick to highlight ‘Speed/Dir’ or ‘Head/X-wind’.

Then you will be able to adjust the baro by turning the inner knob on the lower right of the main display. As for CDI adjustment? I found where the adjust CDI function was in the mapping settings for my throttle quadrant and mapped those commands to an available switch on the quadrant. I move the switch left and the CDI rotates counter clockwise. Move to the right...CDI rotates clockwise. Easy peasy. Works great.

in the game, they’re on the flight plan page - go to ‘filters’ at the bottom then scroll down and turn the last three items ‘on’ - you’ll see ILS icons appear on airports. Click on one and you should get a pop up window showing the ILS frequency for that runway

Or google the airport code and ils while in flight, it breaks immersion OR increases is depending on how you feel

You didn't tell us how to change the altimeter, just to do it. How do you change that? There's the setting on the left smaller screen but I don't see it on the PFD.

@@kevinpinkney1258 Yes !, that will work, but the Garmin itself has a method for changing the course (and a gazillion of options) that they are not simulated (yet), i hope that asobo, add more functions missinf to all the planes (NO DME at all on the steam gauges planes, for example... (yes , you can use the garmin 530 as a fake DME on the C172 for example... but , on the C152??... )

you can change the course for VOR by the right knob, but you have to be in full screen first.

PLEASE speak slower and don't move your mouse that fast and often!!! You are offering excellent content with real indepth Info, what many users really will love to get. But it's extremely hard to follow you due to too high speed of speech and mouse. People need to think to understand your tutorials, but you are overpacing too much to be able to really follow you.
Don't get me wrong, but i think you deserve much more followers, so help people to follow you...
