    Goodness, I don’t recall watching any these shows and I was a young person in the 1960s! Never heard of the ‘new’ Andy Griffith show. How you find these old programs is amazing! Thanks so much for a great video.

    Wow Fred, here you are with more closing themes. I remember that most of these shows were on, but for whatever reason many of them weren't part of my viewing schedule. Some of them everyone remembers, like Barney Miller, The Waltons and Little House. I Led Three Lives was before my time, but I knew of it from my parents telling me it existed. Thanks man, can't wait for Part 2!

    Wow, this was a spectacular compilation! I remember some of the music more than I remember the shows themselves. Our family had the tv on most of the time, but, I was busy doing other things. You sure picked some fantastic compositions in their own right and there sure were some mighty fancy composers working TV back in those days.

    0:50- Aaron Spelling recalled he didn't want to produce a series featuring "Amos Burke" as a secret agent (he would have preferred to continue "BURKE'S LAW" for another season). But ABC wanted a "spy show" for the fall of 1965, and Four Star Television insisted on the change in format. Spelling reluctantly agreed, knowing what would happen. And it did: the "new" series was cancelled after 17 episodes, due to competition from "THE DANNY KAYE SHOW" and "I SPY".

    I get a kick out of reading the actors parts in the credits. Every now and then you'll read something from an old show like...
    Bartender.....Burt Reynolds
    or
    2nd Stewardess.....Loni Anderson
    or
    Cab Driver.....Tom Sellek
    I tend to forget that these big name stars didn't start out as big name stars. They had to take any part they could in their early acting days.

    Hey Mr.Fred, it's Joey. My family and me, were wondering where you were. They saw this video, a few hours ago. This is supposed to be fun. But, we had a loss in the family. My maternal grandmother's father( June 15, 1924- July 1, 2023.) He was, is one of a very small few, that remains from the WW2. He went in 1942-1945. You may remember: my whole family was in the service. My grandparents in Vietnam, my dad 🏜 Storm, me in Afghanistan ( Army Captain.) My great grandfather was always so proud of my rank. I said: great grandpa, you are the reason we have our freedom. He would just smile. I had a problem leaving him. I go everyday to see him. 😭 Everyday! We want to make sure you are well. God bless you and your family and be safe, and healthy. You are the best!!!

    • @FredFlix
      @FredFlix  ปีที่แล้ว

      Joey, I am so sorry for your loss. Wow, your great-grandfather nearly hit 100. Obviously, he meant a lot to you. And you have many cherished memories of him. I never knew my great grandfather. He died before I was born (when my father was 5). So you are lucky! By the way, I live in South Carolina and I plan to be around a long time! Thank you, and your family, for being fine people and faithful FredFlix watchers.

    • @FredFlix
      @FredFlix  ปีที่แล้ว

      Let me correct that comment. It's actually my paternal grandfather I never knew. He died when my father was only 5. And then my son never knew HIS grandfather, because my father committed suicide long before my son was born. Again, Joey, you are fortunate.
