The little engine that could.....Some perks on these engines from Athearn, they had Tsunami 2 because of the shortage of what is usually in them during the pandemic.
BACK IN THE DAY WE MADE THE SOUNDS OURSELVES. 😂 🚂 📯
Look like fantastic little engines. Thanks for sharing.
Fascinating crazy little switchers, look and sound good, what a work out you gave them! (Dave).
the older kato locomotives weight as much as a brick... years ago i had two of their C44_9Ws... them things were *HEAVY*
hello shawn's trains & it's is randy and i like yours video is cool thanks shawn's trains friends randy
32 cars is impressive , should have had the highcubes at the front of the train , helps stop drag on curves
Skewer uncoupling should be done from the top, not from the side. Ignore the brake hoses and cut those trip pins.
Did these locomotives have any other lighting features other than the head lights? I thought they came with track light too?
They do! Although it was hard to see and I didn't notice it until later.
Are these new mechanisms reverse compatible with prior shells?
That's a good question. Considering how much weight I'd here, I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't.
@@ShawnsTrains265 I got it straight from Athearn. Yep, they are reverse compatible.
What is the weight? I have some older RTR that are 9oz.
I don't have a scale, but im sure it'll be close or heavier
If not a Genesis motor. then what kind of motor do they have????
An upgraded version of the original per their website
We are calling it a Genesis motor- the smaller cousin to the typical motor in the larger Genesis locos. It's a 5 pole skew-wound can motor.
$250 for a little RTR engine is just too much IMHO.
It does have an updated drive and tsunami 2 sound, that's probably half of the price tag right there.
