Agreeing with the first panelist - solar panels connected with your home would collect much more energy, and offer more utility. If this E is 'off the grid', it looses the potential to sell power or open the new business models he implies. Locking it somewhere exposed to sun also leaves it exposed when you can easily lock anywhere indoors/covered already. I wanted to like this E, but afraid the presentation convinced me it's just a gimmick that doesn't solve any real problems. I doubt it even gets built.

Hi Andrew, our marketing headline meant everyone slightly missed the point on E - the product focus was locking and access control, the solar is a nice feature and primarily to emphasise the power efficiency. We built a single prototype with the aim to test our kickstand locking / charging concept, and it's now sat in a development queue while we ramp the Bo M production.
