It's a shame that 1.0 is the version that has suffered the most from hackers and exploits. It is a version that had a lot of potential to have continued and I have followed it from the 2020 prototypes until now.

Personally, I jave always felt like 1.1 Sonic should have been a third character in 1.2. He would fit right in between Little Sonic and Kolossos.

Kolossos would just be a direct upgrade since it has basically most of 1.1 and 1.0 Sonic.EXE’s moveset. You’d be getting rid of indicator, charge, and block in exchange for invisibility and a slightly different attack.
Also, you’re forgetting about reworked Eggman, Amy, Cream, Sally, Shadow, and Rouge.
