Happy New Year sweetie. Morissette, did of these Musical Threatre numbers( search , QuaranTHEMES ), and each one....she captures you , pulls you in with voice , facial gestures, eyes and hands . From what I have heard from vocal coach reactors is.....very few can belt into the upper octave m but Mori , does seem to make it look easy.

You're absolutely right Defying Gravity is concidered among the top 10 hardest songs on Broadway! As with everything she sings it always looks like a walk in the park. It comes so easy and natural for her. The biz is cruel and certainly not fair cause someone with that much talent and vocal abilities as Mori should be one major superstar and tour the world! Or at least like you mentioned be a star on Broadway and if she'd been in for example America chanses she'd be a superstar would be much higher.

I have seen Idina Mansel sing this song just live on stage, for a TV show and it did nothing for me, don't get me wrong, she is a great singer but, there was a part where she lost control, as though she had not rehearsed and you could hear that, this from our Mori is way superior, I know it's a bit more modern, but they should modify Broadway Musicals a bit to bring them in line with today, here you see how it should be sung today, Mori's love of singing shines through, the next 5 are just as good, HOME was the first song, with DEFYING GRAVITY being the last, enjoy your journey, and thanks for your reaction, happy new year 😊

a few things, first of all it is voice with a little reverb, in a room at her home, a mic over head and the tracks backing her, and at her belts you can hear the mic cracking because it is having problems process her. .Her talent is for far beyond most anyone on this planet the music needs to follow her. The Phoenix, Queen Mori. She has earned this respect ❤❤😊😊👍👍
