- Well everyone here it is a $20 DIY mod for the Ram truck Ram Boxes, In this video I show how to make your own dividers by using some simple plastic from Amazon and a table saw. With this mod you will be able to better organize your Ram Boxes without spending the $130 the dealer wants for a similar product. So here is how I did it enjoy.....

My 2020 Rebel (White like yours) also has the ramboxes. I agree it is a must have. Mine also came with the multi-function tailgate and I have to tell you that it is the cats-ass!! So much easier putting things in and out of the bed. Wasn't really looking for the multi-function tailgate but now I wouldn't have a truck without it!

Great idea and video. I was thinking birch plywood at first before you showed the plastic sheet.
On the loose one use a strip of the soft velcro to take up the slack. It will also quiet it down.

@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA too many years of custom installs. That stuff saves projects. Lol. Not to mention it will make it much easier to take in and out.
I did I similar thing with mine except used vinyl plank flooring had laying around. They wiggle a little bit but don’t hear it in the cab. Then for the rear pockets on both sides made a cover out of 3/4 plywood so it’s just level across. Didn’t like the idea of my heavy hitch just sitting in a deep plastic tub. Was worried how sturdy the plastic got at -35c if hit a bump didn’t want the hitch breaking through
I used some .5 inch plywood and beveled the ends and spray painted.
Great dividers and lots of dollars saved. :)
Love the idea, might be easier to use a router with a rabbit bit.
But....but.....You didn't make the covers for the front and rear wells? There are templates on many of the RAM forums. I plan to make mine out of 1/4" poplar and paint them black. Then again, maybe 1/4" cherry and stain them to look like my kitchen cabinets.....Hmmmmmmmm.
Very nice my kinda solving,sadly i did opt out on the rambox ✅ i kinda wonder if i shouldnt have but was so used to regular box with f150 figured meh and without doing homework i was convinced id loose a ton of box space,but i realize for what i use it for i would have been fine...ah well

Do they change the rambox locks? Yours come with a button and a key hole. What I saw last Saturday only come with a key hole, don't know it remote control or not, on a Limited 2500.
Yeah mine has a key hike and a button that works when the truck is unlocked

@@dmtycn interesting. I have a 2020 2500 Power Wagon and it only has the cylinder keyhole. What did it cost you to get the locks like HammerDown has on his Rebel?

@Pro 2A I'm in Michigan, the laws suck here I used to have to pay 330 a month for a brand new dodge ram 1500 pickup truck. That's insurance only, with a clean driving record.

Surprised to see you NOT use the rack and pinion adjustment on your Dewalt table saw. Never seen anyone adjust a table saw like that.

There was a company called naviks that was making an interface I’d check their website I haven’t checked in some time
Or you can use plywood and plane the taper edges and paint it black
that could work too but I plan to put ice in there it might separate

@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA Yeah I ended up with them on my Laramie and so far they're great. I can keep all my wet kayak gear in them, fishing gear, muddy boots clothes etc. Don't have to track anything into my cab and they're easy to clean out. I'd also assume they'd be great for contractors since they're basically easier access toolboxes.
So you couldn't afford the option Eric it's ok. Im probably more of a man than you will ever be and I'm looking into getting them except the reduced bed size and payload. Real men don't care about what others think and don't have to act like a real man. 🤡
