Another great place to find info on the deep dives is the DRG subreddit. They make a table every week showing the details of the missions and even descriptions of the terrain and how easy/difficult certain parts are. Great for when starting out deep dives for the first time, although now I like to do them blind!
This been here for some time without a comment now... im definetly not the target audience for this but, i apreciate the work you put in for the greenbearded community.Might as well support you with a couple of seconds, with a rating and a comment. Rock and Stone !
The DRG subreddit also posts the weekly deep dives. Lists their missions, modifiers, and people often comment on what they find during the mission as well. (How much nitra, finding a BET-C, etc)
I feel like most people are posing the question to you because they want an all-around loadout that works for everything. Some people (like me) enjoy going into dives blind and want a generalized loadout. Rock and Stone! ⛏️
I remember doing this deep dive a few days ago. Did it with a team of 3 engi. 1 stage went fine, second stage was just hellish. Last stage went fine as well.
Two friends and I picked this weeks elite deep dive as our first time (no Haz 5 experience whatsoever). The first stage was a first try and on the second stage we managed to get the dreadnought, but our scout got surprised by the ghost as he got the first egg in the lower chamber and subsequently died. My other buddy (Engineer) and I (Driller) then had to deal with the swarm alone. Worked out well at first, but then he was downed as well. I decided to get some seperation by going for the scout in the lower chamber and then work my way back up immediately only for the scout to die shortly after the res while I was making my way back up to the Engineer. I was unable to get the res from then on it was a wash. My Engineer friend and tried it yesterday one more time in a duo. We again managed the first stage just fine, but this time around we were unable to appropirately handle both the ghost and the hiveguard with two people. So yeah - a sad state of affairs. I believe with three people we would have had the second stage, but the third stage would probably have taken us down with the low oxygen.
Great guide Ron! I failed a few before I got the knack. I recommend PRACTICE, especially with kiting bugs and planning your movement through the cave, timing egg pulls, etc. I found the basic mining missions the best for easing me into it 👍
Though most greybeards are happy to babysit greenbeards during their first deep dives, do not expect to be carried the entire mission. Though it's not fair to expect everyone to do so, it's much more fun to play with dwarves willing to die together. Rock n Stone boys
I must disagree on the extra health over extra shields argument. That extra health is only useful when at max health, revives only leave you at 25 health. The extra 5 shield, depleted and recharged in combat, will net you more overall health throughout the mission. Only take extra health when drinking Red Rock.
That can be true in long drawn out missions, but I find that you usually have enough red sugar to heal yourself up and the extra health is useful when getting swarmed.
This weeks Elite Deep Dive was hell. had a Bulk show up when going down that long drop with the leech then the 2nd fight with the Ghost & Hiveguard. 3rd mission? a friggin Dreadnaught showed up there too and its also a Hiveguard. Thenx for the vod!~
I'm 100 hours into the game, main gunner, and I've tried 2 dd and edd, had some problems with the first two and blazed through this week's one solo without any beer. I run ressuplier, born ready, deep pockets, iron will and hover boots that I might change to dash; shoot things with primary, change to secondary for born ready, repeat until no ammo, shield, resupply. These passive perks save you a lot of time, you basically never have to reload ever again, and you get all the health you need from the resupply.
For me, a guy who has over 680 hours in this game, I recommend that you build your weapons with one being for crowds/AOE friendly and the other being built for single target damage. Additionally, I highly discourage class duplication for various reasons. This hastens the jobs that need to be done by filling every gap in what roles the classes cover.
Sweetness. I figured someone would be listing what missions are on the EDDs Helpful since my default gunner build is weak against robots. Too much reliance on stuns, fears and neurotoxin rather than straight up direct damage
If you get an overclock for gunners leadstorm it lights the bullets on fire as you start to overheat the gun if your an experienced tanker like me you quickly understand how long you pull trigger when to let go who to delicate suppressing fire stuff like that I take being a tank role very serious so I have about every trick and tip when it comes to being a tank in any game “ different tune same song” I believe the saying is

Haha I love doing the dives blind. I find that more fun cuz then you can be like "aww shit" if you get a really nasty one 😆

16:28 huh, never seen a drop pod landing near a pipeline, that made the pipeline get cut or something, quite interesting honestly

Least random elite deep dive generation
Amazing guide! All of the tips and tricks really helped.
The haunted cave really made me hate the Hiveguard.
The reg deep dives this week were actually really ez and seem good for those new to deep dives.
Yah they were so quick under 45 even for very uncoordinated teammates
@Mr_Reaps i did mine early in the morning and i thought i was trippin. Even the modifiers were pretty tame
@@Thec0nv1ct777 yah there was also no scout for the quick ore gain, though I did get my group morkite beer.

Glad you liked it!
Great guide!
My only problem would be the rng of the cave system it straight can make or break the run tho
I've done and failed this week's elite deep dive 8 times. And this mf just does one solo.
Hope that this can help you out a bit.
@@ReapeeRon Yea, it did. I just ran solo without any teammates and I got it instantly. It was others holding me back.

Really I thought this week was way easier than the past 2
@@XxXNOSCOPEURASSXxX I feel like the 1st and 3rd were easy but that 2nd stage was just so cramped trying to deal with both a dread and haunted.
Been wanting to get into deepdives for quite a bit now but at the same time im kinda scared of them, being new to deep rock and all.
They're embarassingly easy just very long compared to regular missions. Iirc they're haz 3 to 3.5 difficulty

Sound like a lawyer
Thanks?
But you don’t need to have a class promoted to play it in a deep dive right? Only one has to be.
Only the promoted class can play deep dive if it not promoted then you cant use the class
