Hoping this will be good. Just moved into a '60's Scottish property just before Christmas and have now found some damp & rot (looking to install some old style telephone extensions and seen the underfloor condensation....). The damp wasn't picked up by the Scottish home report survey (MRICS surveyors) in the high summer months. It looks like its root cause(s) is solum below external soil line, concrete pathways now too close (height-wise) to air bricks, and minimal formal ventilation. Investigations on going..
at 27:00 there's a humidity reading of 70%, Oh to get regular numbers that low (though it is winter..). I'll also add there is no extraction in any part of the property (other than the open fire's lum (chimney)). Gonna be interesting;-)
