I love Dave Mustaine as a guitarist. He's really good and I admire his skills. But I'd much rather hang out with Dave Ellefson. He just seems so much nicer and more doen to Earth.

Nice! Can you do the same with "In my darkest hour"? I was watching a 1993 concert and I could listen the bass better. I found very interesting. It's nice to see the diference from the guitar notes sometimes and how it blends well.

Stoned as I was, I hit the Russian Big Muff and started chording the guitar parts too (chords sound mmmmmassive with an 18v active bass through a Rusky Muff). Fun way to kill some Sunday time!
When I was coming up you'd NEVER see your favorite band or artist do this- they'd happily suggest that you go BUY the tab tho- even the music videos were kept away from the fretboard.

@@SDRockman have you rocked them to see which are riding high, and tap them with a plastic mallet? Also, if they aren't way whacked, you can do a home level and crown pretty easy. I have used a torpedo level and 600 grit paper, or a fine 8" sharpening stone. Sharpie each fret, and skim them with the stone or level until they all just barely get kissed. Then crown them with a small file. Then finish/polish them with 1000 to 2000 grit paper. I have gotten a number of guitars to lower than factory spec with basic stuff like that. With beautiful frets afterward too.
@@SDRockman and instead of filling the nut slots, pop the nut, and skim the back side until it gets to where you want it. 1 drop of glue and put it back on

This guy has got killer tone even at home, just like the recordings and gigs . Clear , punchy and pleasantly scooped in the midrange.
