I picked up my 2011 C6 GS 3lt (with Magnuson supercharger) on May 29th and still has that excitement as I walk up to it. Just installed the Borla ATAK axle back exhaust and WOW what a difference! I love driving this thing! Oh and I never ridden in a Corvette before I test drove this beast....and then fell in love! Only has 40k on it...

@@diagtsss I almost got the S-type but said "Fuck it" ATAK is what i bought and love it. Still running factory mani's tho. If I decide to get some long tube headers it may piss my neighbors off a bit 🤣
I think im goimg to sell all my old troublesome jdm cars for a Vette... Im tired of dealing with "peformance shops" all the damn money I spent trying to build cheap cars and make them fast I could have had a damn Vette by now. I just want power and reliability out of the box!! If anything I just do a Cam lol, I cant believe how cheap parts are for a Vette.. Im done with JDM forever.
Do it! I was converted away from BMW ownership for similar reasons. Got a C6 last year and will not be going back. Driving a fast, bullet proof vehicle while not having to constantly monitor my CEL is a thing of beauty.

I own a 2013 gs with only 14,600 mi. on it. It’s a fire engine red convertible with tan interior and top. I had a c5 before this one and liked it a lot but the c6 is far and away a better car. I have the automatic paddle shifters and the hud. I absolutely love this car.
My wife had a Saturn Aura with the same steering wheel but reguardless, the c6 vette was the last body style that didnt forget what it was.......... a Vette. Its all business.
I am also a long time Mustang guy who just bought his first Corvette, a 2010 Grand Sport with the manual transmission. I can testify as to how great these cars really are, especially considering the performance you can get for your money. I do wish it had a proper trunk though. With the top stowed in the back, the only place to really put your junk is in the passenger seat.
I actually love the hatchback trunk! I can still have soft luggage like a backpack or duffel bag in the back with my top stowed. And talk about space... I've never struggled with a big grocery run.

David MotorGuy yeah the trans was smooth I’ll give it that, but the newer ones are much nicer for sure, and the vette was actually a little scarier than the hellcat, the cat was faster for sure but the vette was just a lot lighter and not as predictable as the challenger!
Grand sports only come in a AUTOMATIC. its a touring corvette meant for TOURING rally and still stay ultimately comfortable in the city, with memory power everything heated seats nav heads-up display removable top and a extremely powerful 6L-80 TRANSMISSION: with first gear at: 4.02 and 6th: .67 it has a very short ratio. a bandless clutch makes things even quicker! if you order the LT3 it comes with a paddle shifter that makes the car even more fun to drift... I mean drive. with a programmer you can get every gear to slam and tire chirp up to 5th gear. to get a Grandsport with a manual use the MZ6 code before ordering cuts $1500 off the $68599 sticker. ZO6 are a compleatley different corvette all together. built with different materials than the other C6s. don't think its just a brake and motor thing... as the supercharged ZR1 is a way different corvette than the grandsport and ZO6. all three corvettes serve different purposes. base coupe owner: too cheap to own a Grandsport/ ZO6. Grand sport owner: loves to track/tour and drive it to work. ZO6 owner: strictly weekend worrier track supreme no frills straight racer. ZR1 owner: Best of all worlds, supercar status. had most all the older hot rods of the day and loves corvettes. and eats ENZOs for lunch. GRAND SPORTS ARE MEANT TO COME WITH A 6-SP AUTOMATIC. ZO6 are manual
Grandsports come in a manual as well. In fact, they're meant for the manual as only the 6 speed coupe version gets the dry sump oil system the grandsport is known for.

I can testify as to how great these cars really are, especially considering the performance you can get for your money. I do wish it had a proper trunk though. With the top stowed in the back, the only place to really put your junk is in the passenger seat.
I actually love the hatchback trunk! I can still have soft luggage like a backpack or duffel bag in the back with my top stowed. And talk about space... I've never struggled with a big grocery run.

400. 505 was the Z06. And those figures are at the crank. A car making 500+ at the wheels on a dyno is probably making close to 600 at the crank.
