Don’t sleep on automatic my friend, I get your lame comment with pun intended. There are very good reasons to own an automatic, your dig at automatic just indicates your lack of knowledge. You probably own a manual and and think it’s the only way to enjoy a car, both trans are great. and the engineers of corvettes know a hellava lot more than you about what owners need and enjoy. The only thing rare is you knocking automatics in corvettes, or any. Appreciate what you have, but don’t knock others for their choice. You may end up with no friends!
If you’re in D mode, it’ll just revert back to automatic if you don’t mess w the paddle shifter for a bit.. you can shift em In D mode and it’ll just back out like that..
I am thinking of getting a 2010 1LT Grand Sport and it has the 6 spd automatic and have read that the 2010 auto is slower than the 2012 version but I can't find anything to back that up. Did you have the opportunity to drive a 2012 to compare?
you have to special order the Manual (MZ6) in the Grandsport. otherwise it naturally comes with a really strong and quick 6L80E 6-Speed automatic w/paddle shifter! its no slouch. people forget the grand sport is the luxury Touring Corvette not the Z06 track corvette. both completely different than the base coupe that comes with nothing but the LS3 starving with a small 2 1/4 exhaust, little brakes, narrow wheels.. Grandsports are the best Corvette for the money. Z06 will cost you a lot more per year, in maintenance but its the badasss! ZR1s are too pristine to do anything with, unless you have deep pockets.

A heartfelt review, but you completely forgot about the C4 Grand Sports with the LT-4 . Great car.
Take care

And that being said, what is your fucking point man!
The automatic shifts faster than anyone can do with a manual.
is the Chassis Aluminum or Steel ?
The C6 Grand Sport has a 502 lb. steel frame, the Z06 and ZR1 have a 392 lb. aluminum frame.
@@thomasjent1431 what year did gm go all aluminum chassis with the better, thanks for replying
@@jonienglish3231 C6 Z06's came out in 2006, the C6 ZR1's in 2009 but all the corvettes from 2014 to present are aluminum frames.
@@thomasjent1431 thanks for info

ls2 vs ls3 it's a driver's race from a dig.

Good review
i seen your 745li review from like 2011 and now you big lol you looked like a nerd in 2011
Thanks for the compliment/insult lol
I dont mean any offense to you, but WHY should we listen to you regarding the grand sport?
there's no Shelby cobra lol I said that once and got crucified
Who told you that? Shelby cobras do exist lol
Grand Sport Corvette's should not have a auto option, it's a driver's car.
Autos outsold the manual in the GS about 80% to 20%.
