I don’t think his father was the time devil, 2 major points as to why I think it’s someone else: 1. Ryu mentions to Asta that a man of “Ashen Hair” (astas hair color) was able to split the skies with his Zetten. Right after this, Asta meets and trains with the Ryuzen 7 and there is an entire page or two dedicated to one of the female Ryuzen asking Asta about his hair color and if it’s natural. Asta also mentions how people of clover kingdom have all sorts of hair colors and she’s very surprised! I feel like it was skipped over by a lot of TH-camrs on reviews but Sister Lily Specifically mentions she DID NOT intend to send asta to the land of the sun. So who did ? I think if the man with the “Ashen Hair” was in or from the land of the sun, it would be pretty coincidental for Asta to end up there as well right ?
Also a little tid bit, Licita upon meeting Liebe was surprised to see a devil. I don’t think someone who slept with a devil/devil host, would be surprised seeing a devil? There’s almost no doubt that his dad is either going to end up being Julius, or Astaroth more likely. It just fits way to well, & there are so many aspects already (& have been for a while now!..) pointing to that being the case. I’d bet on it being the outcome.

If you read the manga, his father is pretty obvious. While it was never officially confirmed, there was a guy who looked like asta, and had an almost identical ambition. 🤷🏻♂️ his mom sucks ppls magic so ofc they wouldn’t be together.
Actually, I dont really think Julius knew of Lucius's plans, as when Lucifero wws defeated, Julius noticed something wasn't right within him and when Damnatio connected the dots and figured out Julius may be devil-possessed, he was quite shocked to know that it was actually himself.
Asta's father happens to be a very powerful mage. He has a strong immunity to the curse magic power of Asta's mother Lichita. Lichita may have thought that she may have kill Asta's father by mistake. Oddly Asta had lost his magic power when he was in the womb. Oddly Asta had inherited his father's strength. and immunity to his mother's curse power. So Julius is still a leading candidate to be Asta's father. Yet I will leave it up to Tabata to disclose the powerful mage who is Asta's biological father.
