Austin and Tim get the biggest spotlight and understandably so. But this Dorky guy always thought that Rob has the most versatile voice as he truly can tackle ANY genre- country, r&b, opera, pop and sound incredible.
You need to watch their older, live video of "Joy to the World Hosannah" - Rob sings lead and if soul/funk/jazz had a baby Christmas song, this would be it.
As time went on, Rob widened his repertoire of styles with Home Free. He was always a distinct voice and an important element in HF But more and more we hear things that make us say "Was that Rob???' and smile. Good video, good reaction.
When Rob sang," the little card you give me.",there was another slight vocal fry on the word "me." Rob rocks. As do the other 4 members of Home Free. 👏👏
Rob has a beautiful vocals. Infact all 5 guys do !!!!! Home Free is so underrated it is a shame. Thanks for reacting to them 😊 this was filmed at Austin’s home ❤
I know you did the Butt’s remix. He’s soulful in that. I don’t know if you did the Country Fried Pop Medley or End of The Road. Rob is great in both of those. You will love I’ll Be Home for Christmas. Rob sings so sweet in that one.
Rob in my point of view is the best but sadly underrated voice in HF. Almost everyone focus on Austin in that range but without disrespecting Austin that I love Rob voice have something that touch my heart instantly
Did you ever react to HF's "End of the Road"? Rob sings lead and he will blow your socks off. This is only a little taste of what he can do. People often refer to him as "Gospel Rob".
I've seen your reactions before and I love how enthusiastic you are! The look of surprise on your face when somebody does something special is amazing! I've seen comments in past videos that you should stop pausing to react ... on a reaction channel ... ummm lol Keep doing what you do because I've learned a lot from watching. And feel free to sing along. You have a beautiful voice.
To see Rob cut loose you must react to Home Free Hosanna concert 2013 singing the carol “Joy to the World “. Gospel Rob is is on fire, with a jazzy, funky arrangement. There’s also a beatbox breakdown. Also there’s “End of the Road “- Rob has main lead, Chance does the bass line. “Dreamer”, but do the studio version ( not the one with Texas Hill. That one is good, but the voices come through better in the studio version). “Catch Me If You Can “ is also great. Rob and Chance are my favorite leads in HF. Rob has so many shades to his vocals, and Chance is a storyteller with a warm, velvety voice.
I just recently started looking through your older videos and I found your rendition of What a Wonderful World. Beautiful! It's the lullaby my newest granddaughter responded to. Each of my grandkids has their own lullaby. I try different songs and when I hit the one they like, I know. I would love to hear your reaction to Kodi Lee! He's a blind and autistic musician and is absolutely amazing! He participated in and won his season of America's got Talent.
There's several songs, some which were mentioned in other comments, where it feels like Rob is taking you to church. That's how he's gotten the nickname Gospel Rob among some people.
I'm sorry to go on with this but with my youngest grandson, the song he responded to was I left my heart in san francisco. I went into the delivery room and he was a little cranky. Of course he was. He'd just been through a traumatic event. I started humming and he responded. I started singing different songs and when I hit that song, he settled right into my arms. I put my finger on his lower lip and moved it as I sang, as if he was singing. If he got stubborn while I was there, my daughter or my son-in-law would say, Here you go PopPop, do your thing. I hate to brag, but it was only my voice that he seemed to respond to. It got to the point that I had to send a recording of me singing it if he got really cranky. He's 9 years old now and every now and then, we'll catch him singing or humming it. It's the same with my second oldest granddaughter. Her lullaby was beauty and the beast and it's still her favorite song. With my middle grandson his song is you're never too old for a lullaby (a song from a PBS kids show called ready jet go) I love all music! I've given that gift to my kids and passed that down to my grandchildren as well. Listen to EVERYTHING. Give it all a chance, just like with food.
If you want soul/gospel Rob you need to listen to their End of the Road cover. It's sprinkled throughout until the last 30 seconds or so. Then gospel Rob is on full display!
Maggie, you need to listen to End of the Road with Rob in the lead. He kills it!! Very soulful. This is so much fun and I loved the video. They’re so goofy at baking cookies. Loved Chance feeding the pup. Good one Maggie. Love your Penguin/Owl? Merry Christmas!🥰😃
Go back to 2013 to their Hosanna Concert! (just before winning the Sing Off!! Rob has the lead on Joy to the World! A complete R&B version… Rob can sing Pop and jazz as well as opera! You need to rewatch this one for the video… They are having so much fun messing around in the kitchen lol! Merry Christmas Maggie😂🎄🤶🏻💕
