A country's development is determined on the basis of rise in living standards and gdp PER CAPITA of an average citizen, NOT Ac local trains or new metro line. Deep rooted Corruption, misgovernance, poor Social order and poor justice system will NEVER allow both India and pakistan to develop. PERIOD! Even North Korea's Pyong Yang subway trains look more better than this, that doesn't mean NK is becoming developed.

The one who feels this way after hearing facts is to be blamed, not me. As I said the deep rooted corruption in every sphere of life of an average Indian, poor Social order, poor justice system, poor governance structure would NEVER allow progress. Now it's up to you if you decide to own up and contribute to Changing the SYSTEM or else bury your head under the sand and pretend to be an ostrich who's oblivious of what's happening around him. India's ranking in HDI index FELL in 2017 by 2 position. Gdp PER CAPITA growth is one of lowest in Asia. If you think the world is appreciating India's 'SO CALLED' rapid growth (as told by the media) then you are living in a world of Fantasy.

Railways can modify the coaches to suit only for Mumbai Sub urban trains. simply remove all seats and allow only standing passengers. the coach can carry more passengers. if require only longitudinal seating of 30cm may be provided.
Nice concept. Good seating capacity as compared to Delhi metro and use of LED lights and display boards, large windows. I hope if Delhi metro will get the same seating plans that it will be more convenient for people who travel long distances. These kinds of trains should be deployed between the stations from which huge populations commute like trains from Delhi to UP/West Bengal/Bihar should have their general coaches like this so that it can effectively manage crowds at least with proper seats.
Delhi Metro is widely used by rich and poor alike. In fact when the metro services are affected, it shows in the attendance in the Offices in Central Sectt area. But In smaller cities like kochi the metro ride comes at a premium.
Does the train halt at kandivali and parla? If yes then what is the price for a 3 months pass. I m now paying around 750 bucks for 1st class as i have student concession

The ticket price for a single journey starts at Rs60 from Churchgate to Mumbai Central, with a steady increase (Rs85 till Bandra, Rs125 till Andheri, Rs165 till Borivali and Rs205 till Virar).Unlike regular local trains, the AC service will have a special weekly and fortnightly season ticket. A special weekly pass will cost anything between Rs285 till Mahalaxmi, to Rs945 till Andheri going all the way up to Rs1,070 till Virar. The fortnightly season ticket starts at Rs430 going up to Rs1,555 till Virar. Remember: the trains will not operate on weekends.The monthly pass on the AC local train will cost between Rs570 to Rs820 (till Bandra) to Rs1,240 (till Andheri) to Rs1,640 (till Borivali), capping at Rs2,040 till Virar.
No use of this AC train.. Not a single person board this train due to high fares.. I think this shoot was on First Day of this Train when the First Journey was Free.
Too little too late for financial capital...Western railway has always been neglected especially Maharashtra by railways...Have seen strongest rail network in East especially West bengal bihar...Cant expect much frm Maharashtras lousy political leadership
Another good step by the Modi govt. But it looks like old cars renovated, with bare minimum facility ( Ex: there is no open button on the exit doors, no comfortable seats etc). prices are very high and Railways fear that the doors may not open and train may fail mid way. Looks like bureucrats in the Railway Bhavan wants to fail this important advancement of the local travel in Mumbai.

My limited argument is that in Dilli metro is used by all. I already stated that in other cities its not yet popular due to higher fares
