Climate-Ready Nation Initiative and IRA Industry Proving Grounds

Amanda McCarty, Director of NOAA’s Climate Ready Nation, outlined the strategic goals of this initiative and discussed why NOAA is working with ASCE on updating building codes to increase resilience of infrastructure to climate impacts. Allison Crimmins, the executive director of Industry Proving Grounds (IPG), provided examples of how IPG connects industry to informational products to make more informed decisions in relation to climate resilience.
