It's amazing to discover these performances 50 years later. My older brother had their records back in the day, but I wasn't that familiar with their stuff.
Sería maravilloso haberlos visto en directo con esta formación (robin, mike, lic & rose) sobre esta época del 67-72. Fueron unas de mis bandas mas especiales. Te echo de menos mi Lic.
Were they scientologists by this time? I'm wondering why they are all dressed in white. The girls look and sound wonderful, well they all do. Too weird for Woodstock!
Not sure about the Scientology thing. But do agree with your point about them being Too Weird for Woodstock. During the era with McKechnie and Simpson especially, they presented something visually and audibly different. Uncomplicated and easy going. I recall them being so typical of the era. Addition. Just had a re-read through their Wikipedia entry. At Woodstock they were wedged between two electric rock bands on day 2. They would probably have been better received with other acts in a similar vein to theirs on day 1. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Incredible_String_Band en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woodstock
@@spacial2 I'm pretty sure the reason they were performing on day 2 instead of day 1 is because they refused to play due to the rain and bad weather. So assuming they would have been better received if they had just played on day 1. They still did amazing and even if this isn't all their songs on record, it's still awesome to even have a record of them playing at all. Thank you for putting them all together, it's easier for me to locate if they're all in one.
