I bought one of these way back in 1985. It was a great skinning knife. I, personally, had a difficult time keeping an edge on it. But that was before Lansky and all the awesome sharpening tools we have now. I think I paid like $30 or $35 for it in 85. It's considerably more expensive now....
I have the pro series of the skinner and 119. I use the skinner for what it's made for and that's skinning. Piercing i do with the 119. Great knifes and great combination on your belt for hunting. Knifes for life when used where they are made for. Thanks for sharing👍 Cheers!
Am I the only guy who likes buck knives in the 400 series depending on what year it is but you get the point.... I like the 400 series because you can sharpen it.
I've long been tempted by the 103 but have yet to pull the trigger. My scoutmaster had one and swore by it. At some point I'll have to add one to the collection. I'm leaning toward the Heritage Series.
My buck 103 has worked hard for me for many years. It came in a twin set with a 102 . I cant even count the animals I have skinned and butchered with this set .You wouldn’t want a sharp point on this knife .I start the hole in the hide when I do the gutting .

Big fan of Buck knives, collecting them can easily become an addiction lol
You are correct on that. Thanks
Tell me about it! lol
Well, hello 103, welcome to my collection!
The knife is a beauty. Glad to be a proud owner. :)
Beauty. I have the same. I just bought a horizontal sheath from Waddells. Thanks bub
Thank you
Love the 103. My only problem with it is it gets slippery when you get blood on it. I bet the g10 version fixes that.
Yes i agree
