Excellent advice on a topic that we as small business owners never hear about until we are victimized. Then we hear from all of our colleagues the various ways they’ve been victimized by trusted employees. We need to put this out there in front using prevention.
I have worked in the finance field for many years and find that there is always that one person that has sticky fingers (thief). Sad but true that you do have to place safeguards in place to protect yourself. This is excellent info. Thanks for another great video!
You're welcome. I get so upset everytime I hear yet another embezzling crime. Too many small business owners and nonprofit organizations are being victimized by people with sticky fingers. Thank you for your comments.
I'll share with you what I learned from some loss prevention videos: keep the till keys hidden and do not leave the till drawer open. Keep cameras on and operating. Make sure that there are proper money controls in place like having credentialized people---the educated--- as your employees. Make sure that you are using counterfeit detecting pens on the money bills. Never make verbal accusations, unless you have convicting evidence/proof.
Mam how to prevent cashier( of a restaurant) from stealing cash ( or serving extra meals for their friends without tokens)? Ofcourse cctv is there but how many footages can we observe though if there are like 10 outlets
