Such a pleasing sound. Hard to describe it. Almost like a pluck, a riffle, then a "thwaack." But you have to imagine it all at once.

This video is really awesome mainly because of the different shooting styles you show in the middle of the video. It would be great if you could do a stand alone video on the different techniques for holding, drawing, and shooting while holding the arrows in the bow hand. Thanks!

when you shoot a bow for five-hundred dollars, you expect it to be great. but when you then have a cheap bow like this and it performs great - that amazes me

This was my second bow based on your review... and now this is all I shoot with. I have a larger bow, but found it too tall to shoot in my basement (I'd have to squat down and get inbetween the beams!) and with this I can comfortably shoot year round down there. Also of benefit of the size is that I have a small car and this bow fits perfectly in the back (and out of sight) of my car. I'm very much still a beginner, but enjoying this very much; as well as recommending it to a friend. Thanks so much!

Some 'bow snobs' deride fibre glass bows. I've purchased several and have made one also; currently making a second, so I can attest to the robustness of these bows. Great for the first time archer probing the delights of horse archery. I'll check out the link later and see what they have to offer. Thanks for the review, Armin. Concise and informative as ever.

In my experience fiberglass can get the same results as laminated bows.
It might not be as pretty, and it might make a little more noise, but it sends arrows to the target all the same, and is more resistant to poor storage conditions.

I live in Canada so the weather can range from +30°C to -40 so laminated bows have a harder time. My fibreglass bow I dont think will have me as worried about shooting in -20 weather

I own one of these 50#, great little bow. shots like a dream and you can t beat it for the price. I really love the way the laminate version looks, but the one I have shoots so well, I can t justify getting another one. I do shoot it thumb release with just my hunting gloves on (thin spring weight), can shoot all day without hurting my thumb.

I just received one of the Nomad Warrior Fiberglas Horsebows. Reasonable, rugged, accurate, shootable off both sides, extremely compact, leather-wrapped and nice looking. What's not to like?! I would like to get one of the laminated fiberglas ones sometime in the future. Armin, I have noticed something in my "beginner" thumb release shooting. If I don't anchor my draw-hand flush up against my cheek, I notice I have better accuracy and less deviation of the arrows to the right. I notice now in your video that you also do not anchor your right hand flush up against your cheek when shooting off the right side of the bow with thumb-release. Thx!

So grateful for this channel it's been an endless source of information for me as I've been getting into thumb release archery. I pose a question to anyone reading this though: I'm looking to get a bow specifically for thumb release and I have two potential roadblocks. (Firstly) I have a draw length of 32" while shooting Mediterranean style - and it looks like I'd need a bow that can do significantly more than that if I want to fully explore thumb release archery. Second potential roadblock is that I'm in the US and not even sure where best to look into ordering such a bow. Anyone have suggestions for circumnavigating these problems?

Thank you for the wonderful video! What are your thoughts on Alibows fiberglass Turkish bow vs their fiberglass Tatar bow? I've been practicing thumb release and other Saracen style shooting techniques on my cheap fiberglass recurve for a while and have gotten pretty good, but i want to buy a shorter recurve and have been considering either Alibows Turkish or Tatar bow. I asked for the Turkish bow for Christmas, but I don't know if I made the right choice. So I was wondering what you like about each bow and why the Tatar is your favorite over the Turkish bow.
