My Grandfather never learned to read and he didn't speak flawless English, but he was one of the most intelligent people I've known. He was aware that it was his moment and he needed a catch phrase and jokes. I'm not dissing him for that. He had a right to get better conditions for himself any kind of way since he did nothing wrong and in fact had the balls to help free her when that old woman was shaking her finger at him and telling him not to help Amanda.

Charles, you the man! Just read the book and was SO HAPPY to hear you were the main hero like we all had thought. It looks like Amanda might not of been saved if it weren't for him, especially since the Spanish woman kept saying "no no" and refusing to help and telling the other men not to help. Scary to think what might of happened. I agree that people on the street must of known something was going on but no one wanted to get involved.
