Why PUTIN hates NATO | What is NATO - explained in 5 minutes | Abhi and Niyu

  • In this video, we look at the reason why Russia is suspicious of NATO. We also look at NATO's history throughout the years, their eastward expansion, and the reason why Putin is threatened by this step. We examine some hidden reasons why Russia invaded Ukraine that has nothing to do with NATO or the country's history. At the end of the day, wars are brutal for everyone involved and as a country, India needs to know that there are no friends. There are only temporary interests when it comes to geopolitics.

Our country was in shambles when we got our independence and we still continued to remain failrly neutral and self sufficient. I love India’s non alignment strategy. We also had a lot of pressure to get rid of our nuclear weapons but India never did that. The world needs to learn from us. We are self reliant, dont take sides and dont let outsiders meddle with our internal matters. The worlsd is seeing what happens when countries let that happen

    I would like to add some points. 1) when NATO was formed, Germany wasn't part of it...because it was just after the second world War where Germany was a belligerent. But USA kept pushing its own agenda of being the sole nuclear power and kind of pushed entire NATO to be against Russia. Historically, Russia was also attacked by Hitler, so even though they were not part of the allied force, they were not part of the axis either. Then how come Russia became the sole target for all Nato countries? Only because USA muscled its agenda.
    2) when NATO was formed, they had announced that they wouldn't expand in the future, but they did.
    So like many other countries in the world USA is the reason here also to push a country to war against one of USA's enemies...its beneficial for USA for engaging Russia in a long war while war is taking place far from USA...just like what they did in Afghanistan.

    • @akshay5295
      @akshay5295 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because USSR meddled with a lot of eastern European countries and was spreading socialism and installing puppet governments like in eastern Germany. NATO didn't expand for no reason.

      @@akshay5295 true 👍 I like it when someone knows history 😊 it's true Russia was trying to take advantage of the post world War broken Europe...but so was usa fighting commies in Vietnam, Korea and proxy war in Afghanistan. But my problem is then why usa is considered a hero, and Russia a villain? And usa directly betrayed Russia...they promised in writing not to expand NATO if Russia scraps Warsaw treaty (a counter NATO), which Russia did...they scrapped Warsaw treaty...now Poland is part of NATO...if this is not betrayal then what is?

    This really opened so many more perspectives and logical reasons for russia's side of the argument. Apart from reasons like Russia wants Ukranian people to become one and so on and so forth, you brought out the true economic conflict here and thank you so much for that.
    Yes, Russia is not justified in waging a war, but that really doesn't mean that NATO isn't responsible either. And as India, it's best we remain neutral as either way, we are the ones who will suffer. We cannot rely on the US which famously abandons every single country after giving false hope during tough times.

    To all of my Brothers and Sisters siding with Ukraine or Russia, Now-a-days Idealism is often irrelevant especially if your enemy provokes or threatens your security. Let me present my view on this, I fully agree that Ukraine or atleast its innocent citizens are definitely not responsible for this tragedy, as it is sovereign right of every country to decide whether or whether not to join any organisation or forum as some of you mentioned the incidents that occurred in the past that made Ukraine inclined to join Nato, Now nor it is the complete fault of Russia, they are countering the hostility that is looming over their country. Imagine the case if Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Maldives, Bhutan one after another joined in an anti-India group lead by China and India did everything to secure its interest but at-last failed and now next and final straw Nepal is also committing to join, would you think India would not do anything to secure its interest and topple the anti-India regime of Nepal. Offcourse committing war-crimes on innocent citizen can never be justified and I am sure that India would never do that, but it's not necessary that everyone else should have policies like India, simply put you don't have control over the extent that any other person could go through to safeguard his/her nation. The only side I think responsible is the Western countries, especially America. First they kept driving Russia insecure over course of decades by influencing one after other country to join Nato, second when their adversory attacked on their friend, they left it all alone. If you are so commited for security of your ally why did you left them to die at first place. They are even suppling amunitions and aid just only with a motive to weaken Russia, not that of saving Ukraine, offcourse keeping their own intrest and welfare in mind. So In geopolitics, nothing else is wrong or right, but the interest of one's country. And thats what India is doing by refusing to pick sides as this is not our war. I am especially concerned for safety of Indian citizens, And yes we should pray that this war should be over as soon as possible, because in war only fear and hatred wins and everything/everyone else looses. I HOPE, I PRESENTED MY POINT Of VIEW REALISTICALLY. Stay rational and Peaceful.
