Some unexpected character development can prove fruitful 🤣 In all seriousness... been loving the edits on this one, especially the Jade Bot pop-ups. Really, really clean and snazy. A definite step-up in quality!👌
I remember seeing the community post you mentioned and then another one later about how the video was in progress haha. I'm glad you were able to make this one work even if pets aren't for me I enjoy seeing the build diversity.
I've been playing ranger as my main for years now and tbh always wanting more from it. I'll give untamed another try this way. I've been running power builds which gives nice sustain but the damage is only a little more than half. I'm sure some of it is learn to play but still found it lacking. As always, grateful for your work and sharing it with us :)
I discovered your channel the other day and glad I did. After watching this video, I modeled my ranger after yours ( I use hammer instead of GS, I like the weapon) and am having a lot of fun with this class. Thanks for the great videos and content
What’s been a lot of fun for me is having the extra pet abilities plus the unleashed. That’s 5 extra buttons to press that all can have significant impacts to a fight. I always wished I could control when the wolfs did their knockdown for example - and now I can! I love hearing the go for their throats clip now 😂 have had some extra fun with this one in pvp also I think this elite does a great job at opening the pet tool kit back up to how it was when the game came out. I used to switch pets frequently and think about what pet I was going to use and I enjoy having that dynamic back again.
I like to see players changing their opinions on the new specs, it always takes time to fully enjoy something new. Will you make a video about Catalyst?
Absolutely. I think Catalyst is great. I am however going to wait until Tuesday. They are planning a few sigificant buffs. So I'm going to wait until that drops to make sure I am doing more craft and less theory
Thanks for this. Did you try the hammer with this? Just curious if it would work well. It certainly seems to have lots of CC and is the only weapon which is completely influenced by the untamed mechanic. But is it any good?
I did test it. I really did not enjoy it. I wanted to enjoy it. I just didnt. The weapon certainly handled CC will but it's damage was not where I needed it to be.
As usual, great video! For someone just unlocking elite specs on new 80s, would you recommend this or druid first? What about Scourge vs Harbinger? Thanks in advance!
This unless you are really planning to do high end pve like t4 fractals or raids. There Druid should have a place. Other wise this... so much this. Scourge vs Harb is a tougher call and more about which you just prefer the feel of.
Celestial seems to be the go to for untamed, but if you could try to tweak the build more towards condi and use trailblazer instead. I recommend farming Verdant Brink to get stat-selectable exotics from the merchant, or ranked pvp if you're into it. I don't recommend wasting money buying celestial from the market unless you really have the money to spend.
I burned my last 80 boost for the Cele gear for this build and I don't regret it - it's the first Untamed build I clicked with. Saying that, I think the distinction between Untamed and SB is disappointing wrt playstyle, there's just too much crossover. To me they feel the same.Like 2 sides of the same coin. So really well done for making me actually enjoy untamed but... not sure I'll be playing it a whole lot. As an aside - you and PaperRoll really complement one another. You should look at that :)
I'm going to go on record as saying I enjoy this much more than the passive style of Condi Soulbeast. I also think the condi version of this is pretty competitive. To each their own when it comes to play style for sure, but I really don't feel this is a step down, and if it is it isn't too far. It's nothing like going to play Willbender after Firebrand though. Playing this in Echovald, particularly around the Junkyard, which can be the hardest open world spot going these days is a bit better skill check than some of the old tests I used to do and I really feel this one is better there. Definitely a play style thing. Defintiely more buttons to press. And yeah Paper Roll has a new fan in me :)
Well well well ... my ranger jusy so happens to have this gear set.... time to dust him off, thanks Mind 🙌🏻 (Big Cata buff on Tuesday btw, maybe hold off on the Cata vid till then)
As a new watcher/player (fresh 80 ranger) you lost me 26 minutes in :( an entire section on dyes and armor appearance? Leaving main mechanics about the spec out of the conversation? I'm here to learn and I guess the best value I got was that Paper Roll apparently knows the class and spec. Maybe it was coming later in the video but I'd love some actual footage of you playing the spec/build, explaining how you're accomplishing what you're accomplishing, what your goals are while pressing the buttons (keep this buff up or whatever), and an explanation of why you're using great sword over the hammer as the hammer has boosted skills from the unleash ranger would also be nice. Sorry, just too long winded of a video, i also recognize that I may not be your target audience so take the critique for whatever it's worth to you.
I'm honored to be mentioned thank you 😌
And happy to see the untamed love spreading ✌😄

Thanks so much again :))
@@MindOverMeta Paper Roll has been my teacher for a long time when it comes to ranger. ^^
Awww, I united two of my favorite TH-camrs. :)

Community bailed me out on this one :)
You should try warhorn offhand with the quick draw trait in skirmishing, its... pretty nuts
The fashion breakdown is the real mvp
What? A good Unleashed spec that is fun to play? *Inconceivable!*
I look forward to trying this out, thanks!
I hope you have fun with it. I am enjoying it for sure.
Ty you both for the Untamed build ☺️

Thank you for this guide 💖
Your health bar/bubble shimmers green when you are unleashed. Not super noticeable, but is there.
Yeah someone actually pointed this out to me in the premier. And yeah.... not super noticable at all.
Will definitely give this a try. Ty
Please do! I'm a big fan already

How does the hammer compare to the greatsword? And is it possible to use sword axe?
I did not like the hammer.
You can use whatever you like :)
can this work with trailblazer if i cant get celestial?

what about a longbow in this build could it work ?
Not sure I understand this question
