Speaking on your comment about Ryan Grubb. When I coached a little league team. The head coach ran a wishbone. Then switch to a pro set. Then when we got to the playoffs he switched to a run and shoot. Then finally to an I formation. We got killed in the championship game, not because of the talent on the field but the kids were confused by all the different formations. It was the worst season for me as a coach because I felt for those kids because he would flip and change stuff so much. Meanwhile we kept the halftime game kids (the kids who didn't see the field in the game for the most part) running the same offense the whole season and we went undefeated in those games. Me and the other coach ran the same offense and defense and the kids performed because of it.

Happy to have a OC that has been a NFL OC before, experience is very important!

Grubb was an OC too, or do you mean an OC at the NFL level?
I’m reserving judgement because despite the NFL experience, his resume doesn’t really pop out or have a season with which he could put a feather in his cap.
He seems like the kind of guy that will listen to what Coach Mike wants to do and let him have the final say on the play call. If that’s the case we are really going to see what kind of head coach we have because he was able to turn the defense around in one season. Can he do the same with an offense too I wonder?

I think the parting of ways is already showing positives for Pete. He looks and sounds reinvigorated. Very happy for him. Hoping Kubiak and his staff bring a similar energy.

Lucas actually has really good feet. That along with his strength makes him as good as he is.

It was refreshing and did the soul good to hear Pete again, the league is a better place with him in it. I can’t wait to see the Carrol/Harbaugh rivalry again and I look forward to seeing him running down the sideline, chomping away at his gum, with just as much energy as the rookies out there 😅
