Karan I've been sailing since 2006 and have done numerous contracts at sea. From a young boy to a man now. It never gets easier. Leaving your life behind, putting everything that is close to you in the back seat is never easy. People just see the dollars we earn but never the cost of earning it. It's so nice that you show this side to all the young guys who aspire to become officers that this profession is not for the faint-hearted. It takes immense courage to say goodbye each time when you leave for the ship. I pray you keep making this kind of content to educate the young guys and keep showing them the reality of life at sea. If you are on Maersk Cape Town, I looked on Marine Traffic app and it is fascinating to see your ship in real time docked at Walvis Bay on 21st July UTC 0950. Looks like u r taking a voyage to Singapore. Sometimes I like watching planes and ships on flight radar and marine traffic. I should have joined the merchant navy when I had the chance to pick streams🙂

Nothing comes easy in life. There is a time to earn and sacrifice, time to enjoy holidays and time to retire. I remember working on diving vessels and barges for 4 to 5 months at one stretch. Need to leave everything at home when signing on any vessel.

An amazing Dutch lady traveling the world by motorcycle (ItchyBoots) visited Walvis Bay a couple years ago and her video "Rescuing Seals stuck in fishing line in Namibia [S5 - Eps.50]" out on the sandy peninsula that creates the harbor was VERY interesting to watch...What a great visit you provided, very educational and easy to follow you around town on google maps...Cheers

You very sure that you will achieve this goal? I am not sure, in universe no phenomenon is 100 percent certain. So there is a fair chance that you will end up in some shit hole in India, and never set foot abroad.
