Love your videos! SO informative and well narrated🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! @@danielsantiagourtado3430
What's the name of the music????
My favorite battle was the battle of Evesham, it truly showed what edward was made of! Can you please cover the battles of the conquest of wales?👑👑👑👑
I've been watching your work, and you make amazing improvements with each video you produce. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your knowledge.
this was an excellent presentation of this series of events. realy hit that perfect balance of enough info to understand, but not so much to become over confusing.
Great work as always HoH!
Great video guys! I recommend doing a video on the battle of Aljubarrota someday! Or maybe just a series in the reconquista in general. Tho, that would be a very long series in the same vein as the prussian series.
Excellent content thank you
This is the content I've been lookking for
On the subject I strongly recommend Schwerpunkt's videos on Henry III, Edward III and Late Medieval British warfare in general
Well done! Have you ever covered the Norman's in Sicily?
Hope you have a fantastic Holiday!
Thanks
Have you come across any info on Sir Robert Logan and Sir Walter Logan who fought and died at the battle of Teba with Sir James Douglas?
It was an informative and wonderful historical coverage episode about Baronet War 1266-1267 in England 🇬🇧. Thank you for an excellent ( house of history) channel for sharing this magnificent explaining and introducing...happy Christmas
That’s the flag of Britain not England
How many battles couldve been won if those cavalry wings wouldnt break formation the very second they see a baggage train...
10:51 look! An army on a hill. Still in formation. Attack! What can possibly go wrong...
How is there not a tv series or movie about Simon DeMonfort? It's a shame.
Very good although there are some weird pauses in narration in parts.
It happens during the post-recording audio editing. I am still figuring out how to optimise audio, work in pauses and cut breaths etc. It's a very steep learning curve still. Thanks for pointing it out!
Can you please cover the battles of the first barons war, the battles of the Anglo French war 1294-1303, the Normandy campaigns 1202-1204 and the Anglo French War 1213-1214 and the first of these to happen in chronological order is the Normandy campaigns 1202-1204 which was a french victory and it saw the English lose control of Normandy, the county of Anjou and the French province of Maine. Following the Normandy campaigns was the Anglo French War 1213-1214 which saw the collapse of the Angevin empire. After the Anglo French War came the first Barons war which took place as a result of king John’s refusal to accept and abide by the Magna Carta and the events in the 2010 Robin Hood movie were a part of the first barons wars. After the first barons war came the Anglo French war of 1294-1303 and it would be fought before and at the same time as the first Scottish war of independence and it would end before the first war of Scottish independence ended.
I don’t think there were any pitched battles in the Anglo French war of 1294-1303. Most medieval wars didn’t have pitched battles as a matter of fact. It was mostly sieges and skirmishes.
Also you’re missing the Anglo French wars occurring in 1224, 1225-1227, 1230 and 1242.
@@VOTE_REFORM_UK oh okay but the Franco Flemish war was part of the war and that war had pitched battles like golden spurs.
Will you do the First Baron's War eventually?
He did in this video

Not in depth
For some reason I read this as the second Boer war...I heard 1200...and was like wtf 😂😂
Henry III is my 24th great uncle. Simon de Montfort, 6th Earl of Leicester is my 23rd great uncle.
Queen Elizabeth is my father
Oh almost forgot: Alexander the great is my niece
I might also mention that Sargon is my sisters 24th husband
Ramses III was my sisters husband also at one point, but sadly they broke up because my brother had an affair with Genghis Khan.
obvious, once we think about it. @@kleinenfuchse5365
How many battles were lost by greedy cavalry?? Ffs, it's one after another....
You should cover the wars of Joshua from the Bible, that would be really interesting
This is a history channel not a fantasy channel.

Whether you like it or not, much of the Old Testament has basis in history whether or not you believe in the more divine aspects of the stories. The Bible talked about civilizations that weren’t even known by historians at first, but then later confirmed to be true. I believe the Hittites are an example of this, though I would need to double check.
literal forever war. to this day.
What if uprising against King, John and the fallen of the allied powers
Huh
even with all the turmoil we have in 2023 it dosent even compare to the medieval nor Roman Era of violence
Edward was a real hothead. Perhaps Henry's fault for not curbing his son's bloodlust and aggression.
What would have happened if Simon had executed Henry and Edward?
I assume there would be a different king.
I guess we would have had an unsteady Council of Barons and Clergy headed up by de Montfort.
@@markgrehan3726 Or...hear me out: You could replace the King with somebody who would 'protect' the whole country! Somebody that would keep Parliament in line! Not a king, but somebody with a lord's authority! A....Lord Protector, if you will!
I'm sure that would be popular!
@@MM22966 That would never work, imagine being the Dick that loses it. :)
Chaos. It's unlikely that executing Henry and Edward ever crossed de Montfort's mind. Had he done so, it's possible he would have lost a good deal of his supporters, as people were deeply religious and firmly believed that the king was crowned by divine appointment (de Montfort included).
Rebelling against the king is one thing; murdering him in cold blood is something else entirely.
So the rich spend the lives of multitudes, then conclude peace between themselves ignoring the masses who died.
Same as it ever was.
Yeah but at least the rich actually fought personally in their own wars back then. The video literally talked about how Edward was wounded in the battle. And there’s many more examples of this.
Heard the game Simon says traces its roots to Montfort 😂
Growing up with a lot of military types around (my fam was only adjacent though, worked for defense contractors) hearing about such haphazard, disorganized, undisciplined warmaking is unbearably cringe. Perhaps prioritize your dad's army, and then go back for the money later? You are already wealthy..... Today's militaries have branching plans and protocols, like "dont chase farther than this, if you do find yourself to far prioritize this" etc
A Real King dose not need to borough money, it creates his own like the Romans.
Maratha empire vs mughal empire war battle history please make video

Guys, guys: No plate armor at this period. Please be more accurate. Thank you.
They would’ve had a little bit of a plate armor I think, like on the shoulders for example. But yeah, for the most part no plate armor yet.
Back when England actually had the balls to resist foreigners coming over.
Why are you saying English, both sides were English??
Strictly speaking the English army was that of Henry III as he was the King of England.
DeMontfort although was English by birth he was in rebellion against the English crown.
Likewise in the English Civil Wars whole both primary forces were English despite the King's loyalists including Scottish and Irish troops and Parliament allying itself with the Scottish Covenanter forces.
Civil wars are always interesting.

"shiv-all-rick" code? Are you yet another person in desperate need to go back to school and learn how to read, or is this some AI program that hasn't had all the bugs worked out of it yet?
You sound like you got a shovel up your skribidibab sideways 😢
Man spends his time putting all this together, making the graphics and the maps, writing the script and doing the research, and that's your gripe? A dictionary check?
It Seems like every one of these the narrator doesn't seem to know how to read. Or at least renunciate the English language properly. I was thinking that some new AI bot was being employed that hasn't had all the bugs worked out yet.
