Anyone wants a boss rush mode? A real boss rush? Fight the bear, Thor, Nidhogg, Vanadis(Freya), Garm, Hrist and Mist, Odin, Heimdall, even Gryla? And some optional bosses like the Berserkers, Gna, the dragons and drakes, etc.? I really want to have a game mode that just lets me fight these bosses again when I want. They’re super fun.
Sekiro has this and it’s amazing. You can just sit down, scroll through a list, and fight your favorite boss. Or you can go through a gauntlet where you have to beat multiple bosses in a row to get a reward. It’s a genius idea because in most games, you can love fighting a certain boss, but then have to play the whole game to fight it again.
The story of Ragnarok hits closer to home alot more for older gamers. I'm 36 and I played the first God of War a year after it came out. I've followed this man's journey since I was a child. To see Kratos evolve into a stern but loving father (when Kratos had no father to lead by example) is powerful
Personally, one of the few aspects I loved about GOW2018 was seeing Kratos get closer and closer to Atreus, even as a 20 year old. You could kinda tell the whole time that Kratos did love the kid, but he wasn’t able to show that properly and struggled with showing his emotions in a proper way. I think that’s a struggle for every man at a certain point in his life, whether in his teen years or older. So I liked seeing him overcome that and also seeing Atreus mature enough to realize his father did care for him all along. It also felt like a personal stab in the heart when Atreus said he wished Kratos died instead of his mom. My main problems with GOW2018 were unrelated to Atreus tbh, but I do love watching both positive and negative reviews of it. For one, I wasn’t a fan of the core gameplay loop. Very little exploration, the path was super linear and gave little creativity to the player, the puzzles were self-explanatory and boring, and even the combat wasn’t my thing. Felt too spongey and spammy, with little strategic dodging and timing. The world building was cool, but I never felt inclined to explore it because the levels never gave me the sense that I was exploring. I never was finding my own path; the game was holding my hand the entire time. And then obviously the enemy/boss variety was lacking which everyone can agree on.
Freya as a companion was far more enjoyable. On my second playthrough I chose to do all the side missions with Freya. She just had more chemistry with Kratos I feel
i just realized something, if everyone knows the ghost of Sparta then they probably knew that kratos killed his own wife and child, why didn't odin use that so atruse will get on his side????? i think it would be dope
I was hoping Atreus would learn of Lysandra and his sister Colliope. I can understand why Kratos may not want to talk about that with his son, but I guess one can argue that everyone knows of Kratos’ past but not all the finer details of it. Maybe they’re only aware of the mad man that destroyed an entire country due to being wronged.
why would they know that? ghost of sparta killed an entire world, that's probably what he's known for. and not for something he did before he even became that strong.
In Vanaheim there was this one section where you had to lure some cats in to a cage-elevator and then rise them up as bait to feed a bigger beast so you can attack it. And that was great even if it was just one moment.
I gottah be honest after playing regular god of war 2018 or whatever after the 20th playthrough I still had no issues with the intro. In fact i enjoy that intro a lot
Hey Kuba I just now saw this cause I didn't know about it. It was a fun reaction video. I hope we get to do something together soon. Real quick, my comment about the spear, about "not liking it so much as a normal weapon but liking the runic attacks" has nothing to do with how cool and useful the spear is. It Is an awesome weapon. I just have an attachment to the blades and prefer how the game plays with them.
Compared to ign 7/10 Almost every main stream journalist reviewers is a joke now Compared to them no independent youtuber get as much hate as those ign type guys IGN should be commended on one thing They shit 80% on the game And in the end say it was enjoyable 9 out of 10 @@Yourfat247
I personally don't have a problem with games in a series depowering you at the start of, say, a sequel because, for me, the just-add-on-more-skills has a limit. The new moves you can perform are going to be limited by the buttons and button combinations. Too complex button inputs, and people will not experiment much and reuse simpler moves. That's why I love the Death From Above Attacks. Those are attacks which make use of the world as it was (of course the world is now designed to offer more of that opportunity, but still)
@@explainDis it is not about story being good , it was *underwelhming* . I liked the story but the way the whole ragnarok battle was done was good but underwelhming . We didnt even see many gods in the game like for example odin brothers . We just got the base gods and it was nothing like gow3 . Also the odin fight was heavily uninspired ,lets compare it to the baldur's final battle and not zeus (which was too good) the arena changes with cutscenes mixed up ,with the game making you switch weapons as baldur turns ice or fire That really made it a good final fight . The game was a missed oppurtunity tbh and i honestly get bored playing it now . Lets see what the newgameplus brings
Metroidvanias do it all the time like where’s the fun of just already having these abilities with nothing to unlock, the previous GoW games did it too. GoWR just took some abilities away to make the gameplay easy to understand at the start while already having certain moves unlocked from the start like running attacks.
I know this is an old comment but I just wanted to say a lot of action games are about experimenting with a large variety of options including God of war so why would depth be a negative if some or even most people don't expirement with said depth
21:04 apparently everyone is forgetting about the quick turn mechanic, probably cus it takes TWO buttons to do now except that isn’t even the problem THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE QUICK TURN IN RAGNAROK IS BROKEN. IT LITERALLY SPINS THE CAMERA BUT THEN GOES NEVERMIND AND JERKS YOU BACK IN THE SAME DIRECTION YOU WERE FACING BEFORE
I realise I'm very late to the discussion here (PC player here so I avoided the game till its PC release) but at 6:33, Mayo is referencing the song "Electric Head PT.1" by White Zombie if you didn't already know. ;)
I have a question. I’ve completed the old God of War trilogy more than 20 times-maybe even more than that. These new games just aren’t my type. So, will you be playing these new gow games at least three times? I often play games from the PS2 and PS3 era, like God Hand, Resident Evil 4,red dead redemption Tekken, and the old Need for Speed games and some new games from ps4 era like bloodborne yakuza batman arkham series furi hades blasphemous and so on From your perspective as someone who has bought the game, do you think people will still be playing it 4-5 years later?
Tbh Kuba, I wish that every time you said something about GOW ragnarok, you don’t always say afterwards that” Your not complaining” because it seems that you fear backlash from fans. Say how you feel Kuba and don’t sugar coat anything bro. You have the right to be critical about something you don’t like or have a problem with. I honestly after playing ragnarok, kinda fear where the series is heading. GOW just don’t feel like GOW to me anymore
Chronos cutscene that shows Kratos climbing up to the temple was only used because originally David Jaffe had plans for a playable section where we had to climb up & do some strict platforming while avoiding a massive sandstorm. Beta footage of the level exist which I believe was featured in GoW1's treasure room.
You should take a poll of how many people enjoyed Atreus or the Atreus sections vs the people who hated it. I think that would be very telling and would give a good unbiased result
the worst part is we can only visit asgard as atreus and it's really dumb we got no open world portion for it and jotenhiem and hellheim really weren't that large
Maybe they could have made an enemy-swing-move, where you reposition yourself from one side of the battle to the other by grappling with an enemy. That would have given the player a better view and control over the fight. Also, they could have added a quick-turn insta-attack, where Kratos, as he turns, does some wide swing bashing closeby enemies back.
I encourage everyone that doesn't play with the weapon toggle accessibility option turned on to go and do it. You oress the directional button again to draw and sheath each weapon, not down on the d-pad to sheath/ draw your spear then sheath it. I get they did that to hide the eventual obtaining of the spear - it should have auto changed back to gow 2018 style where its a double d-pad input to draw and sheath respectively
13:37 hey Kap, there’s actually a skill that lets you instantly Frost Awaken the axe after any attack. I believe it works if you pause for a moment. That is what really opens up combat. Jus a quick tip. Ps. Also the Darkdale Pommel lets you re-Frost Awaken the axe if you kill an enemy with a frost awaken attack.
The problem with that is it's locked behind completely unlocking all of the Axe tree. It's a neat final thing, but by that point you have already built up a bevy of gameplay habits. It should have been something unlockable earlier.
The last couple lines of his review I honestly agree with. This game had SO much wasted potential in its story, their decision for 2 games in the norse saga damned them. So much of the pacing could've been fixed and more things would've had more of an impact. Imagine freya aligning herself with us at the end of the 2nd game? Brok dying towards the end of a second game? Kratos fully accepting his role as a general in the last part of a 3rd game? Ironwood could have been split up into more parts to keep the pacing quicker. Ragnarok itself could've been more expanded upon before Kratos actually broke fate and called off the slaughter of the midgardians instead of it being a minor explosion and seeing like 5 people die and then changing his mind. It could have been Kratos and everyone in the middle of battle, being almost manic, and seeing Atreus off to the side about to kill someone with Atreus saying "close your heart to it" and before he deals a killing blow Kratos stops him. They could have made that moment WAY more impactful, again so much wasted potential. That's how I felt the entire game, besides the actual good parts because there were some, like they were on the cusp of greatness throughout the entire game but fell miserably short. It was so disappointing but I am glad they did make the combat as fun as it is because I am still playing it for the combat.
Bro you had some real good ideas there. I'm also sad that they chose to end it with two games. This could have been one of the greatest trilogies in all of entertainment
@@KaptainKuba My thoughts exactly, the potential was there and everyone sees it. I think that's why people are defending this game so hard even with it's very obvious flaws because they see the potential in the story.
Completely agree, Ragnarok was far from bad but this saga could've been so much better if they didn't condense the entire thing into 2 games. The writing in Ragnarok at best is phenomenal but some of the best ideas are hamstrung by the need to wrap it all up in one go. Ragnarok's portrayal of Thor is utterly fantastic but it's so clear that his side of the story suffered from this choice, so much so that it left a bad taste in my mouth despite loving every second of screentime he gets. Thor and Thrud deserved more, they had the writing chops to make it that good in that short span, I can only dream of the arc they could've had in the third game if Ragnarok didn't need to end it this time. Everything to do with Atreus in Asgard needed more time to breathe. This game really is his story, with Kratos feeling shoehorned in at points because so much needed to happen in one game.
@@idoitbox986 what ? there being a 3rd game would give them greater budget and overall profit what are you talking about ? they are not some random indie dev.
tbh, the only thing i hated that they removed, was the fist combat, i loved 2018's fist combat and the skills you can buy. and Ragnarok completely removes that..
Yea, I used to watch Mayo a lot when Doom Eternal came out because I absolutely love that game, but when he started reviewing other games and acting like, because they weren’t specifically tailored to his tastes, they were bad, I unsubscribed and stopped watching. He’s a terrible reviewer and has a really bad attitude towards anyone that disagrees
You unsubscribe because he feels different towards your feelings about something? I don’t think his takes are bad about Gow at all. GOW doesn’t feel like GOW at all anymore tbh. I understand what you mean about Mayo but ppl are just crucifying him because how strongly he feels about something which is wrong
@@LoneWolfe_XX EXACTLY. Everyone hates mayo. Ask ur selves why kuba and ford refuse to offer the slightest criticism on ragnarok? They wouldnt dare. 😆 shills
@@LoneWolfe_XX Are you sure that he specifically said that he unsubbed because he was a terrible reviewer which he kinda is in all honestly but it’s alright to have an opinion about Mayo being a good reviewer that’s your opinon.
I really don't understand why Mayo keep complain about magic resource. Ragnarok and 2018 are open-world game, forcing players to find a chest every time you use Runic attack is absurd, his two brain cells doesn't have enough capacity to understand that
He doesn’t care about it that much in Ragnarok because it isn’t game breaking which was a big issue for him. He even states that you actually do have to fight now instead of runic spam everything
@@thatoneguy1232 I don't understand why Mayo complaining about you can Runic spam anything. Just don't do it, they give us option does not mean they force us to do it every time. Some of his complain is understandable but there are so many things that make me feel mad because how dumb of a game reviewer he can be
@@voquochuy7086 the issue is that you can. And that there is little to no incentive to play good. I love 2018 but there is no reason to play like GBG. There is no reward for that. There isn’t even a reason to switch weapons because the game breaks its own rules by allowing the axe to be used in Hel and against hel-walkers. There was 0 uses for the blades which destroyed the wonderful and emotional scene of Kratos retrieving them and undermining the reason behind doing so in the first place. In Ragnarok the game offers incentives to play well. Keep you your offense going and get good at blocking, dodging, and parrying. Not only is it that you can’t runic spam, but there’s a reason not to as well. And almost every move has its uses. You can still fight ice enemies with the axe which is a shame but the elemental shields grants immunity to certain weapons encouraging weapon switching. Not only that, but burning enemies are weak to the axe and frozen enemies are weak to the blades. More incentive to switch. The spear is great for building stun and one of my favorite weapons to use against bosses. Active l1+triangle any one of your weapons for more damage and other perks. In Ragnarok everything has a use, none of it feels meaningless, you’re encouraged to use your full kit, and rewarded for doing so. I know for certain when I go back to 2018 it’s gonna be tough because Ragnarok is so much better on the gameplay side of things
1:13:50 absolutely zero chance. Agree with you Kap. I think people expect too much in the new game +. To be honest I will be surprised if we even get the cloak as an armor.
@johnkimble523 Why would they make thor playable he is dead it is pointless, and plus, where did you predict playable thor? You are asking far too much from a ng+
When I scrolled past (rudely😅😂) your reaction to under the mayo 2018 review I though, he is just going to bitch about his opinions. Don’t get me wrong I love !!!! GOW 2018, but Under the Mayo has good points ( specially on Ragnarok ) but I got to say It warms my heart to see your positive take on his opinions, it says lots about the person you are. You are a genuine person and that’s why people like you
Whaaat!?! I wouldn't call him a hater. I think he's honest and you should value everyone's opinion. If we all loved the same things, it would be a very boring world. The whatever part is hilarious. I remember lmao when first seeing it. To be clear, I agree with things from both of you and that's how it should be. We need to tell the devs what we want and what better way than channels dedicated to a specific series
“It’s Atreus story” bro kratos has nothing left to live for until he had Atreus and met faye. What kind of story would kratos have with out meeting them ?? Kratos didn’t care about anybody problems ..he damn near didn’t care about himself 😂😂 him having a kid is the only way to progress kratos story
I actually don't know wtf he wants with a game, its still a game, I think if GOW just adds combo meter and rewards for combos he would be more satisfied
I still have absolutely no issue with the god of war camera maybe its because I didnt play the old games but the color indicators I always thought was just fine
Mayo is right, the too long cutscenes and Atreus moment dragged to game experience for me. I want the gameplay as focused as the Story and not less. Make it actually fun to play and challenging

Mayo: "waaaaaah waaaaah, I hate playing by the game's rules, waaaaaaaah". Imagine if he plays Sekiro lmaooo all his problems with GOW are skill issues.
I mean… Originally God of war is an open franchise with their mechanics, so it’s understandable, BUUUUUUT Sekiro is a Miyazaki game and they’re almost 2 different genres of videogames

@@tby3502 But Sekiro didn’t have 20 years of legacy to live up to. it didn’t have 5 mainline entry in the series. It was a new IP. There are expectations when it comes to a game like God of War, if Ragnarok was a brand new IP , it would be a masterpiece, but it’s a GOW game
Personally, i would prefer that the camera stays immersive, until you get into an enemy encounter where it will pan out the entire arena and lock away the exits of the arena like old God of War games, and let you fight with more ease
mayo's video about ragnarok was better than his first video about 2018. He came off as more whiny in that video ngl. Ragnarok definitely has flaws but overall I had an amazing time with the game
Trace not f****** years old is 10 years old in the first game in this game he's fifteen years old he's fifteen years old in this 15 Trace is 15 years old because actor who plays Tris is Sonny is about 17 years old
The point at 12:15 ish.. video game characters can get ridiculously powerful. For Kratos we’ve always had to rely on statements and very limited feats of strength. I wish we could get a game where Kratos can move around like Alex Mercer. You feel the speed and power when you’re playing prototype. And you only get stronger as you play the game. The boss arenas in prototype are also very generous in size. The final boss takes place on an entire air craft carrier. I do like how god of war plays and feels. But I think Kratos needs a significant buff in terms of on screen strength. Like when he’s slamming enemies into the ground there should be loud echoes, the ground should crack and the screen shakes and everything.. when Kratos and Thor were fighting I think there should have been more concussive damage to their surroundings too. Two of the most physically imposing gods should have no problem wiping entire mountain ranges off the face of the earth. I understand the hardware is pretty limited but cmon 😥😂
One thing I can say I agree with is I miss the magic meter too instead of cool-downs, the game was rushed, well the story was, so much missing out and things that didn’t make sense but I get it that Santa Monica didn’t want to do another Norse god of war for another 5 years to just add finishing touches, brody? Dragonball? What? I’m offended poor broly 😂😂
The only thing I had a problem with in ragnarok was that after freya promised kratos every violation imaginable she just stopped and they were best friends

Everything else doesn’t really matter in the long run. Going on like 3-4 slow yak rides. Fighting the worms in the dark. Picking fruit. The section would have been better if they did 2 yak rides and take away the cave section entirely. 1. Meet Angrboda 2. race her to the treehouse 3. She shows you the prophecy 4. Go on ONE yak ride to cool off 5. Go on another to head up to the marbles 6. Find out about Gryla 7. Make Jormungandr and fight Gryla 8. Race again and go home.
Personally I just dont like YT Channels who have dug themselves to do a certain kind of content. Like he HAS to shit on GOW bcs thats just what he does as content I assume. But I do sense some biasness against the newer style of GOW since he keeps mentioning the GOW 1 even tho they are 2 complete different games.
12:10 I 100% agree with this. Though it's a burden for the developer side balancing and making ideas, but as someone that loves, LOVES, variety of skills in game. Knowing I can have hundreds of different attacks or skills is a big W for me.
Being able to control the camera is such a weird complaint. Not being able to see what's behind you, your punches not hurting someone who's behind you...can you imagine? Turn up the camera speed. They even give you indicators, which is like some kind of precognition. It's a little intrusive, but whatever, it works. Fixed cameras are atrocious. I played RE1 remake and it was fun... But it was done that way due to technical limitations of the time. No one designs games that way these days for good reason. It's bad. If you want to talk about overrated games...recently played Shadow of the Colossus... The way they give you semi-fixed camera angles, and let you control it a little bit, but fight you all the way...drove me up a wall.
I disagree with the Faye criticism. The mystery is still there, we’re not entirely sure of her motives, we don’t entirely know her fighting ability. They showed us just enough to reaffirm what we mostly knew to be true, and they grew her mystery by telling us she fought Thor
i think the mystery was really dissolved. You never see Faye in the first game but her presence haunts every step of the path. the flashbacks here felt way too fan servicey. like faye does exactly what we think she would have done. I they really wanted to sell it , they should have had only the final flashback. This game really really suffers from excess. there is too much of everything. and its so croweded
So I've played every mainline God of War game and I can honestly say that the Norse series doesn't measure up to the original trilogy. I didn't like Atreus in 2018 and this game only made that feeling worse. If they do make an Atreus spinoff I'm definitely skipping it. Hopefully the next big title is Kratos centered with very little to no RPG elements. That camera does need to go if that means we can skip the slog.
Lol Mayo’s stuff does sometimes come off a little bit self-absorbed, and I get why people hate the 2018 review. However I did agree with him on a fair amount of points honestly, and he’s entitled to his own opinion. There were definitely logical fallacies in the review though.
I'm pretty sure Atreus hurt mayo at some point for him to hate the boy as much as he does who's asking why is kratos talking so much in ragnarok the dude's in silent for least a couple of years if not almost a century you try going that long without talking and see how it goes he probably just wants to get his past off his chest and freya talking about her son gave him an opportunity he doesn't get with Atreus brok or sindri or even Mimir
Give us a jump. It would add so much more to combat. Still have the evading attacks and the running attacks but include running jump heavies and lights. It would make the game way better. Also, the ability to choose an open camera with middle higher perspective and if they want make it an option to include this normal camera. I think that’s the only things I’d want added to future games.
1:10:06 i don't exagurate the problem with the camera... Prooceds to roll and back up against a wall or holding the block button because something is hitting him. And he can dodge/roll to get out, and his rage was even on lmao. And then tricking everyone who hasn't played the game into thinking that, that's is the actual gameplay of the game.
@@Nexuswalnut33how do you know his gear is lower level? The health bars are green and it’s not like there’s another tell to my knowledge because all the gear in the game is viable hence why they all can go up to level 9
The first clip is an enemy directly behind and attacking him. The second clip he dodges away from the enemy but it kinda looks like it snaps to his direction which also happened to be where a wall was. The one with the Wulver I usually hold block as well. It’s my understanding that dodging does not grant invulnerability and some attacks once you’re in you can’t get out until an opening presents itself. But maybe you can get out of that specific attack from the wulver idk. The final clip is 100% a skill issue I’ll give you that. Could have rolled or parried that attack and didn’t.
@@thatoneguy1232 yeah but i never once have rolled into a wall like that, and again dodge and then use special attack. But then dodged into another wall 2 times and into the enemy in the in the clip during Ragnarök. And they deal much damage and being more aggressive when they are in an higher. Well sure maybe the first one was unfair. But again their Health bars was yellow, and he didn't bother at the on-screen indicators wich he never bothers to do, because "ThEy ArE aNnOyInG". Oh and the second is easy avoid he can a use special aka rage.
i agree with a lot of what under the mayo says and i do hope sms listen to this and try to do even better for the next game/s. and a lot of what he is saying in my opinion has to do with Chekhov's gun. a lot of things just didn't make sense to be where they were. like the climbing parts, or ironwood, and walking threw asgard, these are things that sound good on paper but don't really work in the gaming section and the pacing also. also the ability to skip scenes for people that are not that invested in the small talks needs to be addressed more. and of course a lot of the climbing and general movement in large areas. there's a lot to improve and im very glad Ragnarök did so well.
Why not just say "How GOW Ragnarok was ruined *FOR ME"* Why not just say that you want to ruin it for everyone else? Oh because that sounds stupid. Whatever, Mayo. 🤢
Tbh he may just be talking about the mechanics. Early game is very boring and there’s little you can do. Just hacking. Neat spectacle tho. The Thor fight in comparison has more on the player’s side and on his.
Ik it just an opinion but I feel like mayo just sucks he locks on enemy the whole time plus I feel like us real fans get adjusted to the new game the old game I use the quick turn all day this one I never use it personally I think these games been the best games I’ve played beside the old old ones plus faye was only cool to say cause she Karen from daredevil lol I honestly but I agree I wish they showed her after he told the story it would hit just like the moment it hit a little when he saw the light
23:44 "I'm mashing all these buttons to break the game" **breaks the game** "THIS IS INFURIATING!" Mf have you played a game that has zero glitches if you forced the game to break?? I'm convinced he's trolling, cause there's no way someone has this little amount of braincells.
I do really feel that if you've a save from the last game you should be able to transfer that gear over if you want to obviously you'd get a choice idk how that would work and it would kinda defeat the purpose of getting upgrades or anything for most the game haven't a clue honestly just sounds cool😂
Many games have some "memory card read" mechanic where it gives you something if you played the previous game. But instead of gear I feel like it would be cool if it gives you some XP multiplier for a lil period just to make you able to unlock stuff faster than a first timer
I wouldn't have minded the camera at all if it at least would allow us to face enemies half as big as what the previous camera allowed us back in the day Ragnarok is my second favorite game of all times and my favorite GoW but it's definitely not benefiting from the no cut being so close at all times it would be better if it could also go further back
I would just prefer if the camera was like Returnals camera, up close and personal when you had to stop and absorb information etc, and back out and give room for perception during combat or exploration/platforming.
Yeah the puzzles are bad, good puzzles for me are the ones that once you know the answer the execution is quick, but in gow the execution of the puzzle take too damm long.
It's not a yak is a Scottish Highlander Charles from Scotland the same place that are mirrors from so if if amir saw angry Bird is Cal he would have recognized it from Scotland to cool moment in the franchise if they had a nose angry Bird is cow and that's what is one of your family members from Scotland
The issue is that some people, including me, hate products geared towards “young adults.” It’s a tease - almost adult, but totally neutered. Atreus turns GOW into a blander, young adult focused game. And it suffers for it.
Commom, comedy isn't bad, jokes are fine, can be even great at moments, you just have to dose it, and gow ragnarok dose it masterfully, marvel became bad because just doesn't how to dose it anymore, gow ragnarok knows it, it could be bad in the future, but right now for me at least is good.
For me, the blades are the best weapon in any game. The spear is cool though. I also agree with some of the things he says. For a franchise sooo huge, I want quality. GoW is my favorite game of all time and there are many things they could fix. I love the games, but there are absolutely some things that just suck and I'm not gonna pretend they don't. I want the next games to be better. So, if things only suck a little, I'm not gonna act like it was great. The Atreus parts in this game were horrible for me. And there was so much, do this thing, do this thing, story, do this for some reason, and then this, story. There was a lot of padding. I just don't understand. I see how this can happen if you jam two games in one, but still. GoW is the PlayStation franchise and quality of life when playing need to be taken into account

And then obviously the enemy/boss variety was lacking which everyone can agree on.

i think it would be dope
I was hoping Atreus would learn of Lysandra and his sister Colliope. I can understand why Kratos may not want to talk about that with his son, but I guess one can argue that everyone knows of Kratos’ past but not all the finer details of it. Maybe they’re only aware of the mad man that destroyed an entire country due to being wronged.

Metroidvanias do it all the time like where’s the fun of just already having these abilities with nothing to unlock, the previous GoW games did it too. I have a question. I’ve completed the old God of War trilogy more than 20 times-maybe even more than that.
These new games just aren’t my type.
So, will you be playing these new gow games at least three times? I often play games from the PS2 and PS3 era, like God Hand, Resident Evil 4,red dead redemption Tekken, and the old Need for Speed games and some new games from ps4 era like bloodborne yakuza batman arkham series furi hades blasphemous and so on
From your perspective as someone who has bought the game, do you think people will still be playing it 4-5 years later?
Tbh Kuba, I wish that every time you said something about GOW ragnarok, you don’t always say afterwards that” Your not complaining” because it seems that you fear backlash from fans. Atreus is the true villain of god of war.
It's still better, like He says it has consequences
You should take a poll of how many people enjoyed Atreus or the Atreus sections vs the people who hated it. I think that would be very telling and would give a good unbiased result

Atreus eavesdropping on private moments between thor and his wife was super cringe
No one can change my mind on that
Maybe they could have made an enemy-swing-move, where you reposition yourself from one side of the battle to the other by grappling with an enemy.

@@dannymerfeld7711 I agree. NG+ is coming though.
@@dannymerfeld7711it isn't hard to adjust to especially if you use the whirlwind sweep moves frequently
This game really is his story, with Kratos feeling shoehorned in at points because so much needed to happen in one game.
you also have to rember that money is a big deal they probably could t make a 3rd game

And he can dodge/roll to get out, and his rage was even on lmao. And then tricking everyone who hasn't played the game into thinking that, that's is the actual gameplay of the game.
And his gear is atleast the same lower level as the enemies. So upgrade them Under the mayo.
2:06:00 I believe changing your name would remove the checkmark, so don't do that
If the game allows you to lock on and you use the lock on feature, then it’s not your fault, it’s the game’s fault
i agree with a lot of what under the mayo says and i do hope sms listen to this and try to do even better for the next game/s.
and a lot of what he is saying in my opinion has to do with Chekhov's gun. a lot of things just didn't make sense to be where they were.
like the climbing parts, or ironwood, and walking threw asgard, these are things that sound good on paper but don't really work in the gaming section and the pacing also.
also the ability to skip scenes for people that are not that invested in the small talks needs to be addressed more.
and of course a lot of the climbing and general movement in large areas.
there's a lot to improve and im very glad Ragnarök did so well.
Why not just say "How GOW Ragnarok was ruined *FOR ME"* Why not just say that you want to ruin it for everyone else? Oh because that sounds stupid. Whatever, Mayo. 🤢
I grew up with dc and I'm 21 I also prefer dc over marvel I liked god of war ragnarok
ill say it spear is better than blades
So brave
I like that you actually listen to his points and watches the whole video unlike @zeroneedscoffee
I agree. That kind of TH-camr sucks.
It's his nature to say so
Never used quick turn in 2018 ? Didnt you fought the Valkyries with that blackout attack ? You would turn around using the right stick ???
Imfamous climing mecinic is more prefribul than auto climing
Look at Devil may cry 5 you arent depowered in the beginning and they let you open up with Dante later on with even morr mechanics and features
Saying Baldur's first encounter is a bad bossfight 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ its the best in the game ! (Excluding Valkyries)
“Real fans”
Seriously?
Mayo actually sounds like the biggest hater but still has phenomenal reasons in his defence, but still he very much nitpicks shir
23:44 "I'm mashing all these buttons to break the game" **breaks the game** "THIS IS INFURIATING!"
Mf have you played a game that has zero glitches if you forced the game to break??
I'm convinced he's trolling, cause there's no way someone has this little amount of braincells.
To me it sound like a skill issue cuz I never got a input error
I do really feel that if you've a save from the last game you should be able to transfer that gear over if you want to obviously you'd get a choice idk how that would work and it would kinda defeat the purpose of getting upgrades or anything for most the game haven't a clue honestly just sounds cool😂
Many games have some "memory card read" mechanic where it gives you something if you played the previous game. But instead of gear I feel like it would be cool if it gives you some XP multiplier for a lil period just to make you able to unlock stuff faster than a first timer
@SalemCooper great idea would love if they implement that into most game sequels
Could just add all the old gear into the transmog system.
The camera is tedious.
Its the only reason that I've only played it once and didn't bother with side quests.
I wouldn't have minded the camera at all if it at least would allow us to face enemies half as big as what the previous camera allowed us back in the day
Ragnarok is my second favorite game of all times and my favorite GoW but it's definitely not benefiting from the no cut being so close at all times it would be better if it could also go further back
@@noname_noname_ the only reason i haven't replayed is because my only playthrough was in GmGoW and there is no NG+ yet 😅
@@explainDis Hraezlyr (the dragon) was bigger than Garm and Nidhogg and he was in 2018 (I liked Garm and Nidhogg much better than Hraezlyr tho)
I going to be honest I really think you guys a really nitpicking this game.
Mmmm it feels like Mayo is mad about the camera because he might just suck at the game. Gotta be quick on your feet boy
God of war forgetting their age rating is 18+! Stop handholding!
