At no point does she say that she wishes she wasn't famous. What she's saying is that if your only reason for doing anything is purely for FAME then you won't be happy. Wanting to be successful in your field and wanting to be famous are two different things (fame just happens to come with success in regards to acting). I interpret this as because fame would never be enough and you'll constantly be trying to outdo yourself to REMAIN famous, hence you'll never feel successful. Look at people like Kim Kardashian. She does what she does not for want of success but for want of fame and attention. Therefore, she constantly has to undermine and embarrass herself further whenever she feels herself slipping from the public eye just to remain on peoples lips for 5 minutes longer. i think what she describes, how loved she was, how many life teaching treasures her father gave her, is the essence of what allows humans to succeed, to be happy, to not spend an eternity searching for happiness. To be loved, at a very deep and basic sense, allows for the blossoming of a being, no matter what his/her aspiration. Many of us have not been so loved, and that makes life hard, that's what leaves the bottomless hole inside that we cannot, in all this consumptive luxery, fill and experience what it's like to be happy on a daily basis. So, anyone who is only listening to her speaking from what you think is coming from wealth and fame, are missing what she has to give...listen a bit harder. It's the basic unconditional, giving treasuring love that you should be envious of... and since we can't change our individual situations, lets work harder at loving each other...and not just if we think they are less fortunate because we cannot know their hearts. learn to love the core, ignoring both poverty and wealth as both cloud the person inside...
