    Just started rebounding this week and found your channel. I’ve worked out for years and thought this may be a little slow for me. Well let me tell you, as a beginner rebounder, this was tougher than it looks, my heart rate was up and more importantly I LOVED it!!!! At 57 we are never too old to learn new things!!! Doing this on the floor as opposed to a rebounder is an entirely different experience. It definitely takes practice and patience. Thank you for what you do, this channel and I now thank you as a new subscriber 🙌🏼💜

      Yay!! Thanks so much! Rebounding is definitely harder than it looks. Choreography is a great exercise for our brains as well. We all want to stay sharp as we age! Enjoy your new rebounder and be sure to reach out with any questions.

    I did a lot of yard work today and needed a gentler workout, as my back was killing me. Did this one and I feel so much better! I'm no longer stiff and sore. And it was fun! Thanks Nikki for doing a wide variety of workouts. There is always something I can do it seems, no matter what my mood or body feels like. ❤

    I feel so uncoordinated doing this. I never was good at dancing or sports so this is a challenge. I stopped about halfway through especially since I already did basic bouncing and some shoulder stretches. I'm not going to give up! I'm 72 and have worked out at my wellness center in town. Rebounder is new. Thanks and blessings

      Hi there!! Lots of people feel like a fish out of water when they start trying the choreographed videos. That's ok!! Keep trying. It gets better and is an amazing exercise for your memory and brain! You can always come back to a move you know if you get lost.

    I am loving these workouts! There's no need for me to jump feet off the mat and do high impact. These low impact workouts really get the heartrate going and boost my energy for the day. They are also fun, can feel it working the core stability and my brain lol .. love it!

    Loved It! Thank you! My rebounder seems a bit bouncier than yours so this slower pace works better for me. I have an old bungee Jumpsport - can't remember which model, but it has the big flaps covering the bungees. I probably need to change out the bungees, but I'm intimidated. haha

    Can you continue with rebounding after hip surgery

    • @EarthOwl
      @EarthOwl  ปีที่แล้ว

      I suppose that depends on what type of surgery. You'll want to ask your physician to be sure. I have several videos on my channel with my friend, Tracy, who has a full hip replacement. She has doc approval.

    I would really like to get started rebounding...but I cannot afford a $400.00 unit to start with. Do you have a less expensive unit that would do until I see how I do?

    • @EarthOwl
      @EarthOwl  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Leaps & Rebounds for $200 is decent. The weight limit is a little lower at 250lbs. Code Nikki10 for 10% off.

    I no longer rebound, after several years of doing this, after extensive research, there is no scientific evidence that rebounding builds bone density. I think it is great for cardio health, and it certainly is a lot of fun! But it does not offer enough impact to vibrate the bones in order to build bone density, so those who have osteoporosis are not really benefiting, unless they have been told to only do gentle exercises.

    • @EarthOwl
      @EarthOwl  ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Greetings, and thanks for your comment. I think, as rebounding grows in popularity, we are on the cusp of learning more and more of the unknown benefits. The only thing I can say to directly address the question of bone density is that in my private rebounding group with around 12K members, there are many who have improved their bone density scans with the only change of adding rebounding to their routine. I've known several who downgraded from osteoporosis to osteopenia. They have no other explanation than it's from rebounding. I am not a physician. I'm certainly not a bone density expert. Just sharing some testimonials from my participants. I anticipate, as more research is conducted, we will learn more. As you stated, it's amazing cardio and a LOT of fun so whether it improves bone density or not, it's a GREAT exercise to add to one's routine. Here is an excellent peer reviewed research article on mini-trampoline training and its effects on balance, functional mobility, gait, strength, fear of falling, and bone mineral density in older women with osteopenia. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6929928/
