I was right outside of this year's NAMM convention inviting anyone and everyone to sing when I met Angie! She was looking forward to singing a song with me, but I FORGOT THE CHORDS! Sure enough we prevailed, and Angie was soon after followed by Arie who gave a great rendition of one of her favorite songs!
As a musician, I'm all about creating musical experiences that have people feeling happy and free, and that's why the "Sing With Me for Free" series exists. Since 2018, I have asked thousands of random people to sing with me on camera. A lot of people have said no, some have said no initially but changed their minds to yes, and some have said yes right away. I ask these people to sing with one purpose: to create a way for them to experience a sense of happiness and freedom they did not feel before. And much of the time, this actually works (and that makes ME happy).

As a swede I'm constantly fascinated with the openness found in everyday Americans. Everything from chatting up a random stranger to people singing on the streets. It's so different from our sometimes "cooler" social climate. Know that this is meant in the most positive way. It would be fantastic to see you travel to Sweden attempting this same thing 😊

i went to gothenburg..im from glasgow in scotland...henrick larrsonn played for glasgow celtic. Anyway...as soon as i got off the ferry i was stopped by police with machine guns and searched...they even searched condoms...they eventually let me go...i was with 3 friends, they just chose me. so we go into a pub, the bouncer wanted to fight me and the people in the pub did not want us there....that was my one and only visit to sweden lol
If you don't start chatting with a stranger, then you can't make friends, find your soul mate etc etc. I live in the country and most of us are even more friendly. Take care sir.
I’d love to come to Sweden sometime! My sister has been with one of her 3 daughters. Our Dad’s parents were born there & everyone before them & my Mom’s grandparents were both born there & everyone before them! We think of ourselves as Swedish Americans! That would be amazing if Reggie could make it to Sweden! Would people sing with him?
For an impromptu jam - Angie knocked it outta the park. Loved this! Great voice, awesome smile and had a really comfortable and confident presence.
Two great performances. The first is a natural star. The second has a real special soul thing going. Reggie brings out the best in everyone.

Yup.. looked her up and she actually a performer.. Channels like this are great cause otherwise we would never know of the great talented people that are out there. Yes including the ordinary none performers that have raw talent.

Ditto for me On ALL Points Made!! -- Miss Angie is a "Pro" & -- Some Call it Ego, but to me, her Confidence Was "Border-Line," (Pun intended), Cocky. -- Which i DON'T Mind at ALL, as Long as she CAN Back it Up, which Miss Angie MOST Certainly Did!! -- Miss Angie is SUPER Talented & SUPER Awesome, i Love the Tone of her Voice, & she Has Great Stage Presence EVEN though she Performed in an OPEN Air Setting. -- i Would Pay to See her in Concert if i Liked the Songs she'd Be Singing.

My mother was a singer until she developed nodes at a time when they couldn't be removed without damaging the voice. She had a pending career and then it was over. My mother was a narcissist, a true piece of work. Once when I was 5, I was singing in the car and she turned to me and said "if you can't sing it right, don't sing it at all". I didn't sing in front of anyone again until I was 17 and had to for an audition at school. I remember singing the first note and then I blacked out.
I found out I could actually sing years later. And then tentatively did for folks I knew. Then, about 15 years ago, I was extubated after surgery and because of a connective tissue disorder, my vocal cords went. Took me years, but I eventually figured out I could sing bass. Even down into super low bass, but my throat hurts the next day. No training. So, unfortunately, I can sing, but only backup, which I actually have always loved. A great harmony gives me chills.
Everyone can find their voice. Everyone has a voice that fits somewhere, no matter what. Follow joy. That's all you need.

Love your story. I had a similar experience with an elementary school music teacher. I was in my late 20's before I ever sang again.
Don't be too hard on your mum coz there is an immaturity with these comment's, she may have had difficulties in her life. I know coz my mum, at time's would say things and I know she still loved me, we are all broken in some way, even our parents themselves are broken, forgive, and God bless you.
Narcissists are the worst… I tried singing along with my dad around 15 (who didn’t know how to sing anything), I thought we were having dad and daughter time… he turns to me and says…
“Stop singing I can’t hear myself…”

Wow. Thank you for sharing. I "lost" my soprano voice through illness, and used to love harmonising, singing in choirs etc. I always said I'd love to "find" my voice again, at this lower range, and work out how to work around l my breathing problems. Thanks for the inspiration. Keep on singing 🎶

What an understated she has. Sooooo much potential here. Plus she has great tonality and can improvise without it sounding like she's struggling. This is a RICH voice.

Hello Reggie. I've been watching you a lot lately. I'm 61 and live in the Uk. The chances of our meeting are slim at best. In true Brit style, "I think you are bloody marvelous old chap". Not just your musicianship, but your genuine humanity. I have just written and recorded my first track in over 25 years. In some ways thanks to you❤ An old Irish comedian "Dave Allen" Always signed off with these wonderful words. "May your gods go with you". So much joy! You know, I wouldn't care if someone could sing as long as they do because singing is pure joy, "good" or not. No one should ever be shamed by displaying their joy. Not ever. Thus is the appeal of Karaoke. Not supposed to be "good", only full of the joy in singing.

The timbre of the 1st singer's voice reminds quite a bit of the lead singer from 4 Non-Blondes. She has that deeper alto quality with a playfully matter-of-fact sort of style. I always enjoy watching these after a stressful day at work.

When I was in middle school my drum teacher could play every instrument and do this. He was truly amazing and hes the reason I learned his to drum so well. He could listen to any song and teach me how to play it while he played the guitar and id drum. He made learning the drums so much fun. He knew his shit and was the best teacher ever
